No other group gets as much college financial assistance, no other group gets into college with as low qualifications and scores, no other group gets hired as preferentially, particularly into all levels of government. No other group wins government contracts as easily. And she has the gaul to insinuate that she is literally being hunted like an animal on campus. Ridiculous!

Changed the story. And more. I hired her! I have a Korean, Philippino, 3 blacks/ browns (less since pone of the two who joined together to advise me) two Caucasians, one Portuguese, one Jamaican, and two Hispanics under me. I hired most of them. I'm the manager. I hangout with most of them outside of work, they are my friends. We have great work and outside of work relationships.
No one believed then except my bosses.

Also had to work from 13 years old on building sites moving brick snd block all day for 30 dollars a week. When i did see my father he was always drunk and his new wife hated me she had this thing she would do were she would make you clear your plate of every scrap of food but she would pile it right up to be spiteful. I would sometimes be physically sick, my stomach As never truly recovered. As for dad he later died in a house fire and fell asleep drunk with a smoke in his hand, guess you reap what you sow. I was bullied and beaten at school by both teachers and other students. Over the years seven of my close friends who went to the same school and lived in the same town have committed suicide. It shouldn't even be a conversation any longer. As Robin Williams said, cocain is God's way of showing you, you have too much money, this conversation means that people have too much time on their hands that they can spend so much of it making sure racism is alive by keeping the discussion going. When you do that you make people choose a side and to then defend that choice. It's not a choice it just happens that people are different colours.

Because they are trying to hamstring young kids by teaching them a weak mentality. They teach these kids to believe in limits and it works. Very sad.

I don't know who you are and what your exact ethnic background is, because of course "Puerto Rican" is not an ethnicity as many Puerto Ricans like to make it out to be.
I grew up in Philadelphia by a big Puerto Rican community and had quite a few Puerto Rican friends since childhood so I'm very familiar with the culture.
Although there's a large African diaspora and Taino Indian blood within the Puerto Rican communities here in the United states and Puerto Rico, the large majority of Puerto Ricans have a lot more white/European/Spanish in their background, more than anything else, but a lot of PR's like to play the race card and claim people of color "poc" status and ignore their European heritage which ironically is usually the most prevalent.
A direct effect of our ignorant and manipulated culture today, it's sad really!
I couldn't possibly think of any reason why any Puerto Rican would generally feel uncomfortable living anywhere in the United States (other than causing their own misery) let alone in Florida of all places 🇺🇸

Four years later we moved back and racism seemed to disappear.

Racism is not inherent. It is taught. The easiest way to observe this is to watch a group of children from every cultural background at the playground. Those children will teach you that a racist person simply had terrible parents and/or role models when they were a child. Cheers from Texas!

    • @RdeneckTech
      @RdeneckTech 4 месяца назад +3

@@chewacan I tried my best to say that your point may have some truth to it, but I cannot. The children are reliant on teaching. So the best I can come up with is that children gravitate towards others with similar mannerism and that could lead to skin color being a stereotyping as the children grow older (especially amongst males, since they are naturally competitive for reproductive purposes).
Maybe I did actually find a validation for your argument. It may be flimsy, but under the circumstances of my original comment, you raise a valid point. I don't think it's valid today, but at the beginning of humanity, children may have grown to be racist on their own. It's plausible. Anyone under the age of 60ish was taught to be racist, or was taught to not give a shit about the color of someone else's skin and just focus on what kind of person they are. Good or bad.
Thanks for the dissent. It really encouraged me to think and I appreciate that.

@RdeneckTech Thank you for your very thoughtful reply.
I sincerely want to believe that young children are inherently unbiased about physical differences. I was raised in Waco. TX in the 50s and 60"s. Waco was segregated until late 1968. That's when I joined the navy. The navy was not segregated. So racism or degrees of racism was the reality I was a part of. Even though I had parents who were moral, fair-minded people with empathy towards all types of people.
I saw the hypocrisy of my cultural and it bothers me to this day.
Have you heard of the Doll Test given to black children?
If so, do you have an opinion?
It bothers me that people are judged racist for having preferences for people that they are more attracted to.
I think the word racist is used sometimes to gain an advantage in an argument.
This is a difficult subject, and it is hard to be objective about the truth of an issue.
The general mainstream media is quick to imply racism in the news. I wonder why.

Redneck Tech, So, it has to be poor upbringing rather than exposure and experiences? You better explain that to many blacks then because they keep telling us they dislike whites because of slavery? Funny how they can claim whites actions can make them racist toward whites, but the moment whites dislike blacks because of how blacks act, the white person is racist.
Many of us were taught to listen and look at people to figure out if they are worth a spit or not. If they choose to prove they aren't worth a spit, that's their choice. Don't be mad at me for recognizing a turnip as a turnip and a rose as a rose.
