Gezzy is frustrated bcoz tbh he hasn't played badly in the PL and other tournaments...His scoring has been very good but unfortunately at crucial times his doubles have been his downfall...It can happen to any1 and Gezzy has suffered without doubt but he's still an elite player which is worthy of any tournament...🎯🎯🎯🏴👍🏻
Yeah at times he's been scoring well but overall he's been off the pace. Didn't really look like winning a night all season or would have required one of the others to "slip up" to win. He says he hasn't enjoyed it, obviously didn't want to travel to Scotland so that's it as far as I'm concerned, give someone else a shot. And I'm a big Iceman fan being Welsh and from the same area etc but if his hearts not in it then then he should just concentrate on the tours. hey could be worse, he could be snakebite 🤦♂️
wayne is the best commentator and one of the best minds/personalities in darts in general.always love when you interview him Phil, great work as always!👏
Wayne mardles format for the premier league 12 player 6 match’s a Thursday night. I could listen to Wayne talk for hours. Would love a game of darts with him thought about having a hours coaching just to play a game with him I just can’t justify that much in todays crisis
I'm still waiting for the Littler hype to bring any tangible impact to the PDC tour and its players as a whole in terms of new tournaments or bigger prize funds. Right now it just looks like the big guns benefit thanks to more exhibitions and higher fees.
Keep hearing the same asinine statement from commentators, "darts have come on in such a short time" Yes it has become more commercial etc, but darts have been played in pubs for generations. I was in a pub darts team, playing other venues over 50 years ago when every pub, club had at least one team. So it has always been a very popular sport.
Littler is amazing. But if he won 16 in a row from here, he would be 33 by then. That's not going to happen, but if he won 5 or 6, he would still be one of the greats.
I'll be honest, i liked darts before Littler, but he's made me watch it a lot more and invest more time playing. The Littler effect is definitely real.
The format change doesnt sound bad to be honest, but I dont know if its possible for 12 players format. Unless its 1 match vs each other and then playoff? Sounds short, but 2 matches vs eachother might be too long then? It would certainly affect the schedule which is already packed. I think it is worth a shot. More players and more venues to play in sounds good. The current format is ok but it got a little bit stale. I didnt have anything against the old format, even with draws, so if a change happens I'll welcome it forsure.
How about stop complaining and trying to lecture a business on how they create revenue. You can double tap 3 times in 3 seconds and skip forward 30 seconds, done...
Personally, I would like to have a PL format with 10 players and draw possibility, no playoffs so you can reward player's consistency for one tournament
Disagree with expanding the Premier League. 12 players mean just that they each get a smaller cut as the revenue wouldn't jump the 50 percent to cover the payouts. Also would hurt venues as people won't just show up with no one "winning" on the night.
People would 100% turn up... For better or for worse, darts events especially in the UK are less and less about the darts and increasingly about the party atmosphere
@@Majormoose1 Good points. And I get that the Premier League is a huge grind for those parts, probably at the expense of not being sharp for the other tournaments, but they do pay a lot... a whole lot...
Luke is 17 for him to pass Phil in just the worlds he would be 33 if he won it every year from now and when you break it down like that 16 years of no other player winning it no other player coming through and being better it gets into the well i just can't see it happening.
With his commentary on the two possible 9 darters Wayne has connected himself to that moment for eternity. His commentary elevated it from extraordinary, past unbelievable into legendary
If you know darts you know Phil was so much more than his titles
Agreed

I will say the same thing as I did last night
His World Cup mindset

Phill Barrs is the greatest darts interviewer. Mardle is the best darts commentator. Luke Littler is the phenom!

I think Taylor will always be the GOAT 🐐
True…Phil didn’t even get cracking til he was 26.

Absolutely no need for a 35 second jingle at the start of every video.
It's 27 seconds and without sponsors we can't travel to make content
@OnlineDarts you can still have sponsors without the long intro

Depends if he’s in the top 4 or not
I think Wayne went to Hawaii on holiday!
Not to snakebite.
Wayne you have got too much brown boot 🥾 polish on your face 😂😂😂
Lol!
mardle doesnt have talk some waffle, second rate player who dines out on "i beat taylor once"
Are you mental, he's a good commentator on the games and far better than others, Nicholson for example
@@Majormoose1 nicholson is awful i agree. i dislike mardle "telling" players what they did wrong, when he never won a major or hit a nine darter
