excellent video with sound advice. I love the end, which will of course, scare most wannabee entrepreneurs away, "... you just have to talk to people".
Sooooo.....you have over 300 videos doing the same thing as the rest of the gurus .... so respectfully, you should understand the skepticism. What is it that you do to earn a living? Is it blogging? Affiliate marketing? These weren't mentioned at the end of your video. I'm a 58 year old single woman who just wants something legit that will allow me that ability to retire one day and not worry whether I will outlive my retirement. I'm not afraid to work or learn but it would be nice to find someone who isn't looking out for themselves and share with the rest of us a way to earn extra money.
I can tell you for one that Spencer is one of the rare guys that I believe actually cares about his viewers and not just misleading everyone like most "gurus" do. After watching enough of these videos you can kinda just tell. Spencer doesn't just make money from one source, he makes a lot of money by doing lots of different things and diversifying. I know Amazon Influencer program is one of the things he does along with Affiliate marketing and I'm sure a lot else. Instead of wasting your time being skeptical of everything you could also be making money but instead you choose to waste your time commenting and being skeptical of everything which will get you nowhere!
Big difference - I only promote methods that work. I literally do every thing I teach about myself. Affiliate marketing. Amazon influencer. Tiktok shop. Every method I talk About I personally do or have a close friend that does that I work With on the video. You found that channel.
With youtube channels (and everything else) you NEED to be VERY UNIQUE. A good example of this is the "you suck at cooking" channel. It's a cooking channel (tons of cooking channels out there), but his edits and humor are TOP NOTCH. It'd be extremely hard to compete with him. So, you have to CREATE your own barrier to entry. If the barrier is low like these meditation channels, everyone looks the same and you have buttloads of competition. If you take 40-80 hours to create a unique video that would be hard for the average joe to make in an afternoon...you're good to go.
Yep! I tried to specify and say that it's more the way they are teaching them (me included sadly) that won't work. No one teaches "put in 40 hours making a quality video that stands out". Instead everyone teaches "put your prompt in AI and click upload" ha
This is such a good video, I wish this got more views. Also the 6 side hustles that were listed at the end, I do or have done 4 of those 6 hustles at some point and they’re legit! For the very last one, it’s harder than expected because if you’re not doing the work yourself and you wanna hire people, it’s extremely hard to find the right people. Unfortunately when I paid people sometimes $400 a day for these jobs they still didn’t wanna put in a lot of effort and then it leads to unhappy customers
I’ve learned the videos with the best info rarely do well haha. Taken a turn and this year just talking about what I want and big oh well if it doesn’t blow up
@@Buildapreneur that’s awesome, I have so much respect for you for that. I just started a channel and I’m trying to do the same thing, only talking about things that I’ve personally tried myself so I know they work. Honesty is always better in my opinion even if it’s harder to succeed from it🫡
I was researching this hustles notes by others who are publishing blank books, using affiliate links, etc., and what those folks do NOT show you is how much time and money you need to spend on MARKETING and ads to recoup that type of cash income AND they are promoting the videos to get likes and follows which is where they are really making their money!!
Wow, what a rollercoaster of online money-making schemes!😮Thanks for breaking it down in such an engaging and informative way. It's a jungle out there, honestly 😅
Great video! Super entertaining with great take downs in detail. Essential antidote to the MMO hype that seems to have got completely out of control on RUclips. Interesting you didnt mention building niche websites. Is the party over for them?
Amazing video, we all know that you're better than those misleading videos. Why did you stop talking about affiliate marketing? Is it getting harder? Do i need to put my face out there to make some commission out of it? What's your opinion about blogging or building a website about a specific sport and talk about the struggles and how to overcome them, or yt channel is better thing to do? I'm on web dev, so freelancing would be my work, but i want something on the side.
I’m doing less affiliate marketing and transitioning personally into investing, other hustles etc. so my channel Is reflecting that. I still love affiliate marketing 😜
You mentioned RUclips doesn't monetize AI voiced channels. But that's not factual, they don't allow videos that had no human interaction with creating and provide little to no value. Such as just reading off news articles or something.
haha I thought you were one of the 5 pinochios at first but it was an "i tried it video" that the editor featured. You're doing the good work my friend! Those videos are much more work but so much more legit.
@@Buildapreneur haha thanks. Calling out people isn’t fun but people need to know what’s real and what is just lying for views and money. I couldn’t sleep at night making some of those videos you featured.
Hi Spencer.Quick question, when did RUclips stop monetizing meditation and sleep music channels? I make this type of music and have 10k followers on one of my platforms, and at one point had my RUclips channel monetized. I demonetized it myself though because they kept taking away earnings they owed me saying it was "bot" traffic. Yes, I did pay for monetization which was a big waste of money and paying for views is a big waste of money. This was a couple of years ago though so was addition recently added to RUclips about not being able to monetize sleep/meditation music channels?
It's not exactly true that YT will not monetize videos that use AI, including voices. Look deeper. There are parameters but they WILL monetize AI videos. What you said is misleading.
The Pinocchio Award was a great addition 😂
Thank you :)

Yo! LOVE these types of videos throwing people under the bus. Make more!
side note: I would do it myself, but I can't afford to get sued haha
The nice thing is that there is no value to suing you haha

Yes to doing research studies over surveys! I've participated in hundreds of studies and on average they pay $150/hr!
So much better!

It’s called simplifying…for the purpose of this video. The way it is being taught - it won’t work.
Why did you blur out beard guy's name? He is the biggest scammer on RUclips and encourages people to do everything unethical. THE WORST!
Haha point of video wasn’t to call specific people out but warn people not to try the hustles
