Like, "Asahi, don't feel sorry for Ennoshita, Ennoshita, don't get jealous of Asahi." Thankfully everyone was cool about it, but it also revealed the 2nd years' backstory.
Ennoshita doesn’t show up very much in the show, but he’s a pretty important character :)) all the second years except for Noya and Tanaka are bench warmers lmao
Honestly, my favorite part of these videos is seeing somebody else enjoy the show as much as me. Just hearing you gush over the characters is enough to make me watch an hour long video.
When Vic asked “as the seasons go on is shoyo going to become more muscular and manly” and me going uhhhhhhhh 😅 not telling but just....keep watching hahahah
51:50 Nishinoya is trying to establish a healthy competition in saying that to Asahi while knowing the others overheard them... To basically say "Hey, these guys might be the starting line up but make sure you practice and keep the regulars on their toes!!! Do not let either side slack off" + Ennoshita may be on the bench more often than not he is the second most trustworthy of the bunch who keeps his teammates together! ❤️ you see it more in season 2 during the last 3rd of it! Also Ennoshita ran away but came back after some days off because he missed the sport. Nishinoya was suspended for a month for damaging school property and Asahi did quit but came back in the previous episodes. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Being honest every time you stop the video to talk, its perfect. Keep up what you're doing, we love to get your 2 cents on technique/form and just any reaction in general
Victoria starting to understand the Japanese ("Ukai-san") and perfectly guessing the line-up the first time makes me SO PROUD!!! You are doing amazing sweetie
Victoria: "I want to hug all of them." Translation: "My babies." Also the other second years are like a fine wine, you gotta wait for the later seasons to see them shine.
47:18 that scene was the reason I fell in love with Suga. It's hard to let go of something your very passionate about and for him to choose his team before himself is so selfless and mature. LOVE.HIM.SO.MUCH
The reason why theirs some "scary" moments like some of their facial expressions in Haikyuu is because the creator is a fan of horror movies so he implemented some aspects of horror in the manga.
I remember the author of the manga said he also had put on a horror movie behind him while he was writing haikyuu to keep him awake so know every time he looks back on those panels he remember scenes from the movie XD
it's also just a common trope in manga to have characters stay overnight somewhere & there be like, a random ghost story that has nothing to do with the rest of the plot haha. like even when it's a completely normal, non-magical, non-supernatural story. i didn't even know furudate wrote horror and just assumed it was a joke about that trope
@@Lucaz99 dude they have fucked me up sometimes though!!! 😂😂 this wasn't bad compared to the weird ACTUAL RANDOM GHOST STORY mini-plots in some of the things i've read

This is not spoilers: Ennoshita along with 2 other 2nd years quit the club because they couldn't keep up with old coach Ukai's spartan training. They felt bad about it and came back later but by then Coach Ukai had withdrawn due to health implications. Ennoshita was just trying to tell Asahi that he didn't have to feel sorry for him. He hadn't always been as dedicated and therefor just isn't good enough to stand in as a starter. Nishinoya cut him off midway through the sentence and made it sound like Ennoshita was trying to say that if Asahi didn't work hard to maintain his position then Ennoshita would just get better than him and take his position on the team. This was of course not what Ennoshita was trying to say. There was no bad blood between them. It was all just playful banter. The 3rd years and Nishinoya constantly keep trying to toughen Asahi up XD 2 2nd years do get a lot of love. Nishinoya and Tanaka are 2nd years. Sugawara, Daichi, Asahi and goddess Kyoko-san are the only 3rd years.
I love what you said about Suga and what he did, urging Ukai to pick Kageyama over him. I'd already been pretty fond of Suga before that but that moment just cemented him as one of my all-time favorite Haikyuu characters. His heart is so big for his team, he's so selfless, mature and humble. Also in later episodes you'll get to see that Suga has his own strengths that helps the team tremendously in clutch moments. He is the absolute comfort character that you just wish was a real person and then get depressed over because he's not lmao.
I legit can’t wait for Victoria to see the training camp in season two. Especially seeing our beautiful idiots Kuroo and Bokuto being besties😂 Also Akaashi and Kenma being soft beans and pretty setters😂
this will probably get lost in the comments anyway lol but the reason why they (mostly kageyama) sometimes call him "azumane" (ah-zoo-ma-ne) is because thats his last name ^^ his full name is azumane asahi also quick detail i'd like to point out is that kageyama is more or less the only chara who refers to the other characters by their last name complete with honorifics (like "azumane-san" vs just "asahi" or "sawamura-san" vs "daichi") it kind of gets lost in translation but yeah it shows that kageyama is actually a really respectful person esp towards his seniors , showing that he really isnt "rude" and that he just has difficulty expressing himself and as a result he's considered really blunt. just something i thought u might find interesting :)) thank you so much fir these videos really!! ive been really enjoying them and i love the insight you provide on it in the perspective of a volleyball player and it really makes me cherish the series all the more

No Victoria, the Tiny Giant doesn’t play. It isn’t a spoiler because he’s not in high school anymore. He’s an old generation
This is probably a spoiler so I'll hide it.
In the manga we do meet him but he doesn't play anymore because no pro teams were interested in such a short player.

Iirc, the mangaka also did some horror manga before haikyuu.
I remember the author of the manga said he also had put on a horror movie behind him while he was writing haikyuu to keep him awake so know every time he looks back on those panels he remember scenes from the movie XD
@@seraph4208 I thought he did but I wasn't 100% sure.
The author of this anime writes a lot of horror animes, so that scene was a little tribute to his other work

it's also just a common trope in manga to have characters stay overnight somewhere & there be like, a random ghost story that has nothing to do with the rest of the plot haha. like even when it's a completely normal, non-magical, non-supernatural story. i didn't even know furudate wrote horror and just assumed it was a joke about that trope

@@adambaker4380 😂😂 bruh when I was watching that match I could not stop saying that. Way too catchy.
This is not spoilers:
Ennoshita along with 2 other 2nd years quit the club because they couldn't keep up with old coach Ukai's spartan training.
The 3rd years and Nishinoya constantly keep trying to toughen Asahi up XD
2 2nd years do get a lot of love. Nishinoya and Tanaka are 2nd years. Sugawara, Daichi, Asahi and goddess Kyoko-san are the only 3rd years.
I liked but dam this shit long as hell
I love what you said about Suga and what he did, urging Ukai to pick Kageyama over him. I'd already been pretty fond of Suga before that but that moment just cemented him as one of my all-time favorite Haikyuu characters. His heart is so big for his team, he's so selfless, mature and humble. Also in later episodes you'll get to see that Suga has his own strengths that helps the team tremendously in clutch moments. He is the absolute comfort character that you just wish was a real person and then get depressed over because he's not lmao.
I legit can’t wait for Victoria to see the training camp in season two. Especially seeing our beautiful idiots Kuroo and Bokuto being besties😂

@@Charlie-to7vk Oya Oya Oya?
this will probably get lost in the comments anyway lol but the reason why they (mostly kageyama) sometimes call him "azumane" (ah-zoo-ma-ne) is because thats his last name ^^ his full name is azumane asahi
also quick detail i'd like to point out is that kageyama is more or less the only chara who refers to the other characters by their last name complete with honorifics (like "azumane-san" vs just "asahi" or "sawamura-san" vs "daichi") it kind of gets lost in translation but yeah it shows that kageyama is actually a really respectful person esp towards his seniors , showing that he really isnt "rude" and that he just has difficulty expressing himself and as a result he's considered really blunt. just something i thought u might find interesting :))
thank you so much fir these videos really!! ive been really enjoying them and i love the insight you provide on it in the perspective of a volleyball player and it really makes me cherish the series all the more
