Another fabulous walk Dave. South Perrott and Chedington Court were absolutely wonderful and the history also. The churches, the historical pubs, the houses and the dates that befit them is magical. And the Memorial stone of those young men who gave their lives. The wonderful landscape that befits it all. Excellent narrative as always Dave. Thank You as always and Logan.🦮
Thank you Dave and Logan! My ....Logan took that hilly footpath with such style! Up and Down! That Logan sized door was perfect! That beer was well earned and once again Dave... We loved going for that walk with you! Thank You!😊
Dave I am staying up late tonight trying to catch up on all your video’s and rewatching some of your older ones. Such a lovely walk in Dorset. I feel like I am having a tour of your beautiful country with each walk . I learn so much also. Take care Dave☀️
Lots of lovely lush meadows on this walk but that permissive footpath at the beginning looked pretty challenging! A fair bit of history scattered around too. Nice to see the Monarch's Way putting in another guest appearance! Thanks for taking us along!
I tend to agree with Mark Shrimpton (see below) A really beautifully interesting walk. I love the fact that we hardly ever see people which gives us peace and tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of today's world! But we don't either see many animals except for lovely Logan. No horses, sheep, cows, donkeys or even birds or insects come to that!
Another brilliant and informative video. I am due to start a post delivery in Cheddington so it is great to get to know a bit about the place. Going to watch the Marshwood one now.
Every field around there looks truly verdant and lush Dave, must be something to do with the British weather! You'll need your passport if you get much closer to dear old Somerset. You pronounced Steart, Stert, as do I, but was told by a gent that it's pronounced Steert when I was birdwatching there one day. Don't know if that's correct, but Stert sounds better to me! Another of my visited pubs ticked off at the Gap. If you carry on up the hill and bear down to the left, the Fox Inn at Corscombe is a pub in a village that's worth a visit.
Looking up dorset names ,in 1227 a certain simon de frampton owned land in chedington which coincides with mine ,must visit next time i'm back in the UK 😊😊😊
Great video again, Dave & Logan! Do you have any plans to have a membership on this channel? Some extra benefits for members each month? As feedback, I would be happy to sign up for that. It can really help pay for your after work drinks, .... and crisps for Logan.
Thank you & indeed thanks for the idea about channel membership. I have been lucky to have had a handful of donations from regular viewers in the form of "Super Thanks" which has been very kind. As the channel grows, maybe a membership might be something for me to look into going forward. Thanks for watching.
Hi Dave, if you were 20 and looking to move somewhere quiet and picturesque all from scratch, where would you move to? i'm looking to maybe get a start somewhere long term. im from wales but wouldn't mind going to somewhere in england, i find myself watching these sorts of videos and i'm trying to make a choice. could use a pro to help me!
To be fair, I only really know West Sussex, Hampshire (including the New Forest) and Dorset. For "somewhere quite and picturesque" there are parts of Dorset that fit the bill but then again it has been over 40 years since I was a 20 year old! Whatever you decide, I hope that you are happy wherever you go.
Dave's Countryside Walks are just so beautiful. He is a lovely man who brings so much happiness!
Thank you Simon. :)

Thank you Susan. Logan was on good form that day!

Thank you Keith. :)
Thanks once again Dave. Nikki is joining tonight. She says it’s lush . God bless
Thank you. :)
From my perspective, as a viewer, I think this was one of your most picturesque walks. Thank you.
Thank you Mark. There were some stunning views along the route for sure. Thanks for watching.
Biutiful! Thank you, Dave&Logan!
Thank you Hannu. :)

Glad you are enjoying some of those older videos - amazing to think that the channel has been going for over 4 years now!

Thanks Jean. I am fairly sure that there is a much better permissive path that "diverts" around the "path" that I took .... I think I just missed it!
It would be lovely to hear all the churches ring their bells on Sundays as they used to. It would signify their presence in this country.
Yes indeed!
Lovely to see you featured my beautiful cottage in your video. I'm the co-owner of Riverside with the Jack Russell on the roof.
I simply loved your cottage - so beautiful.
@@DaveFord thank you. We have it as a holiday rental when we are not there, so it can be enjoyed by others. I can share the details if you’d like.
Another lovely walk 😊
Thank you Catherine.
What a lovely walk, Dave, and also, a beautiful summer day - missing it already!
Thanks Nic. Yes, looking forward to those warm days again!
That realy was a great walk made even better by the beautiful countryside which for some reason looked more appealing than usual Dave.
Two very pretty villages for sure, John.

Thanks Martin. There were some cows in one of the fields but, alas, I didn't get around to including them in any footage! Thanks for watching.
Love the 'whippet' door!!
Just the right size!

Thank you Cath. It is a lovely part of the county around there.

Thank you. I shall add The Fox on to my list of pubs to be "visited for research purposes"!
