Yeah but Americans are not the smartest when you ask them to name a country in Europa moste answer the name of a capital instead of the actual country 😂 Americans always think the rest of the world are at there level of knowledge 😂
Saying polenta hasn't got flavour is like saying bread doesn't have flavour. It doesn't because it's served instead of bread. You have to eat polenta with something... :)
I am a native of Bucharest and I was amazed by the new Marmorosch Hotel, the best in the city. Bucharest is a beautiful and interesting capital, but it is very off-center. Trains are slow (except the Constanta and Brasov lines) and highways are congested. So, if Bucharest is not your destination, consider taking a direct flight from Europe to secondary cities like Cluj and Timisoara. Actually, Budapest in Hungary is much closer to these Romanian cities than Bucharest. Oradea, 14 km from the Hungarian border is one of the most beautiful cities in Romana, but I don't know how frequent are direct international flights from Europe. Yes, Romania has joined Schengen airspace, but there are still ground border controls to Hungary and Bulgaria, the 2 EU neighbor countries.
Romania and Bulgaria joined Europe's Schengen border-free zone by air and sea on March 1st 2024 not April 1st. April 1st is April Fool's Day so that would have been a bad day to join Schengen.
So happy you mentioned it's one of your least favorite cities in Romania, I feel a lot of people miss out on all the other pretty ones because of the popularity of the capital. Great video! I'm sorry the flight company was bad.. Thank you for the being honest and sharing the good and the bad with us! Can't wait for the next!
I'm tired of everyone shitting on Bucharest. It's a *beautiful* and *vibrant* city. And def among the best in the country, lol. That's not even a question.
@@Christian.Grossiyou should go away from the "old Town" to other old parts of town which can probably surprise you. Try hiking the patriarchate hill (the only real hill in the city, where the head of the Orthodox church is), walk around in some historic neighborhoods like Cotroceni (start from Romniceanu park) to see really interesting architecture, walk the side streets around the Zambaccian museum, try the Dacia boulevard and around... You will find lots of good content in Bucharest. The old town is not that old and it's a tourist trap. If you are adventurous, you can even go to some communist era neighborhoods like Titan or tineretului or militari or drumul taberei, but you may or may not find good content (although you can find some really good authentic food in mom and pop restaurants). Even in the poor shitty neighborhoods it's very safe and people are helpful (despite the worldwide reputation that people in big cities are rude).

Nobody eats polenta (mamaliga) at home in Romania. This is an invention of restaurants for tourists. It is eaten as a substitute for bread. Until recently, it was considered the food of the poor.

For years I see videos about a forgotten European country. Romania is not forgotten.❤🇷🇴

By these two clowns.
A shit clickbait title. It's how these effers get views.
By foreigners. You see, Romania is not a very popular country worldwide.

HiSky is a Moldovan low-cost airline, not a Romanian one. Now you know 😃
They opened a sister company in Romania as well. But yes, they started in Moldova.

Thank you for this video. I've only been to Romania once, but was there for a month and fell in love with amazing people and a beautiful country!
