Yea On NES and SNES the Pixels were wider because CRTs would stretch the input and it looked good on them but looks bad on HD screens without an upscaler. Pixel perfect has perfect squared Pixels making it slimmer. Which is ugly to me but thats how a lot of older emulators did it and why older youtube videos have that ugly skinny screen. lol
What I don't understand is why Nintendo continues to allow rumors about the remastering of the Legend of Zelda games: Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask 3ds, and Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD for the hybrid console Nintendo Switch if according to them it's not true.
I really enjoyed the Metroid Dread annoucement, but this e3 direct overall was only "okay" and I am a little disappointed. I don't think we learned that much about botw2, and it's sad that it's still in development. There really isn't any big games coming from nintendo this year - the pandemic has really slowed them down so much and I'm in disbelief that they have not found a way to adjust yet. I really expected to see a Fire Emblem announcement... it's been 3 years since the Three Houses announcement and the series has a reputation of games coming out every 2 or so years, so this is really disappointing. Actually, I lied - the first time we heard about Fire Emblem on Switch was January of 2017... so it's basically been 4 years. What the hell Nintendo? I never really expected to see Pokemon, so in that sense it's fine. We did get a direct already, and I could not really see them showing anything else. I guess that's confirmation that what we saw is what we're going to get. Still, there really wasn't too much for me in this direct. Advanced Wars is neat, but will I really have time to play it over other releases? Probably not. I don't care for Wario or Shin Megami Tensei 5 or Mario Party or Golf, etc. To be honest, the last Nintendo game I enjoyed was Bravely Default 2, which was back in February of this year. Before that, the only 2020 release that was "for me" was Paper Mario: The Origami King. And before that, we have to travel back to 2019 with Sword Shield and Three Houses. It's just felt like forever that Nintendo has not released games that I am all that interested in. 2017-2019 felt a lot better to me. We had so many bangers during that time. Most of the Switch games I own are from that timeframe. I rarely use my Switch anymore. Kind of a bummer. I really think Microsoft was the winner of this e3. They brought everything, and they didn't even have to go into the Avowed, Fable, ES6, etc. well either.
Wait what? You are complaining about Fire Emblem not sticking to coming out every two years which it probably wasn’t...but then you are using the first announcement of Fire Emblem on Switch as a basis? So you are complaining about a lack of an announcement from them by using the announcement of a previous game two years in advance? That makes no sense... Also, let’s just pretend that there wasn’t a worldwide pandemic that delayed progress in games across the board for tons of different companies...
@@rickhaavisto9023 It makes perfect sense.... I don't care if it's a late 2022 release, just say you're working on something and tell us what it is. It's been 3 years since Three Houses had it's announcement. It's time. It's not like I am asking for the game to come out tomorrow. Awakening - 2012 Fates - 2015 Echoes - 2017 Three Houses - 2019 Next game - 2022?? This game really should have been announced today. This was NOT an unreasonable expectation to have. And yes, I know there was a pandemic. Thank for your virtue signaling.
Katie Egervari Thank you for showing you don’t understand the definition of virtue signaling... We still have 6 months for a teaser. You need to have realistic expectations. It’s been 16 months since FE3H’s development has ended. If they don’t have anything before end of Fall 21, then your concern will be justified. Also, I think you let your interest in the games weigh down your opinion of a show too much. Just because they don’t have a lot of games for me doesn’t mean I think it was a bad direct. Here are the things I have an interest in from this direct I think the new Smash character looks interesting I can’t wait to play my first mainline SMT game after getting into the series with P5R I am interested in Advance Warfare. That’s it. That’s all I’m interested in. Everything else I have little to no interest in. I am still of the opinion that this was a good direct, based on videos like this that show that a bunch of people who have a different genre of games they enjoy really found something they liked in this direct.
@@rickhaavisto9023 thanks for showing me you're a troll and asshole. Good day Rick!!!! And yes, virtue signaling is exactly what you did. "How dare you not consider the pandemic! I am more moral than you since you are not considering the poor billion-dollar companies who had a hard time during this pandemic too! You are a bad person for not considering this." Blah blah. It IS a moral judgement. Let's not forget, you're the one who started this - I didn't try to start an argument with you. You're the one who takes "offense" to my expectations like the sjws I have to deal with at work. It's pathetic. I'm allowed to my opinions, especially if they are reasonable. Your comment about the pandemic also ignores that Fire Emblem budgets and development costs are smaller than most AAA games, and that a modern Fire Emblem engine is already built and all I was asking for was a FUCKING ANNOUCEMENT of said game. Are you saying a multi-billion dollar company can't even tell us what they are working on like they did 3-4 years ago with Three Houses? Fucking really? You're completely irrational. "Oh the pandemic." Fuck off. Good bye dipshit.
Katie Egervari Really? Apparently I am a troll and an asshole for pointing out that pandemic slows the process the development everything, apparently in your mind “virtual signaling” = “pointing out facts” How dare I have a different opinion!!! Really shows how baseless your argument is that you have to resort to name calling and political crap to support your incoherent mess that you willingly posted...
@@Beastw1ck don't know about that. Yes cringe but I saw some great indies and the steam store now promoting demos will lead to development of more demos especially for AAA titles. Good anouncent really.

Ever since ryu was added, I wanted Liu Kang. That was the dream matchup from my childhood.
@PhanThief95 remember, sakurai has no say so who's added
Isn't MK banned in Japan or something like that?
Idk if a MK character could actually work in the more tame smash ultimate though
Other M was not 2D and YES THEY FORGOT ABOUT IT AND RIGHTFULLY SO!

Nintendo was the best of E3, missed you Sony... Nintendo had to do it all alone...
Are you kidding me?
Xbox e3 was far better
@@legacyrxt7570 like what ? Halo multi player?
Yea On NES and SNES the Pixels were wider because CRTs would stretch the input and it looked good on them but looks bad on HD screens without an upscaler. Pixel perfect has perfect squared Pixels making it slimmer. Which is ugly to me but thats how a lot of older emulators did it and why older youtube videos have that ugly skinny screen. lol
I believe the Aspect is 3:2

SMT5 and a bunch of other stuff I guess. Idk
Didnt nintendo Japan tell people not to stream their conference? Glad to see you guys told nintendo Japan to stick it and actually streamed it!
That's for Japan, they have much stricter copyright in Japan.
That only applies to Japan
What I don't understand is why Nintendo continues to allow rumors about the remastering of the Legend of Zelda games: Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask 3ds, and Twilight Princess and Wind Waker HD for the hybrid console Nintendo Switch if according to them it's not true.
Seriously though, how can you play Zelda on such a small screen?
With your eyes and your hands.
Kids these days...
Awakening - 2012
Fates - 2015
Echoes - 2017
Three Houses - 2019
Next game - 2022??
Here are the things I have an interest in from this direct
I think the new Smash character looks interesting
I can’t wait to play my first mainline SMT game after getting into the series with P5R
I am interested in Advance Warfare.
Apparently I am a troll and an asshole for pointing out that pandemic slows the process the development everything, apparently in your mind “virtual signaling” = “pointing out facts”
How dare I have a different opinion!!!
Really shows how baseless your argument is that you have to resort to name calling and political crap to support your incoherent mess that you willingly posted...

Nah.
Nintendo has had an abject failure of a year. The e-shop’s steady stream of garbage shovelware releases reminds me of the last year of the Vita.
Life of the party here folks.
There have been quite a few major releases this year already. And there’s also the pandemic thing, so a ton can’t be expected of any game company
