Yes its unsafe i agree but this is how people used to ride jawa back in 1960s and the companies used to test them in the same manner. This Shows how durable the machine is even after half a century! Long live 2stroke! Long live Jawa.

By the 80s, we had our own little unit in India called "Ideal Jawa", motorcycles tweaked aesthetically but still carrying the same OG Jawa 353/CZ250 frame and chassis. I sold mine last December for a brand new Suzuki and I can't tell you how much I regret it.
OK, there is no sense to drive it gently, because it is made for this type of terrain... But be careful, if you will fall you will injure youself and the motorbike too...

I had same experience in India but not for fun. I had lost my way and was struck in a jungle. Which has so many wild animals. But i love my jawa even though its not a adventure bike but still it let me through all the difficult paths
I enjoyed Jawa.I for long journey had one such bike . I Cañot forget those days. I always preferred long distance riding.No other bikes were good that time .
What a bike, probably around 40 years old and it can still do this stuff. BTW the bike is in great condition from the sound of it, may need to change the clutch plates though.
