    I used to do the smaller checkerboard pattern, as well as the shark tooth pattern on my old horse during show season. He had nice rear end confo, and these would show it off really nice.

    Will the marks still show on a clipped horse and do you prefer having a clipped horse with these patterns?

      Sonya Northlee depends which clip but it’ll look stupid with certain clips

    Why does it matter what the horses butt looks like when you ride it? I understand doing this if you just lead the horse around the ring to show it off, but why do looks matter when the horse is actually doing something?

      Saartje05 I got requests to pattern horses multiple times on a show weekend. Almost as many as I trimmed up, and probably patterned more horses than I braided.

      Easier to do than clipping & if you mess up, you can just brush & start over
