how can anyone not love a Cub? Been flying for 40 years. Have so many planes I’ve lost count. Always go back to my Goldberg Anniversary Edition with saito 80G I built in 1993 in my basement in Columbus Ohio.
nice flight, seems as the cub maybe should have had a fa90t.whats the wingspan and weight? i have a great planes fabric cub, 80 inch wing and was thinking of putting my saito fa60t in it.
w.s. is 80 inch. Prop was a 13x6 changed to a 12x7, flys better now. Has plenty of power for a cub. I like flying on the wing not the engine. Thats why I went with the 60.
ok,i was watching the video and it flew and sounded great.i just thought that maybe a liitle more motor might have helped on take off.i have a great planes, original, fabric cub,80 wing and wasnt sure what motor to install on it.
Hello Ken, thanks for the video. A friend of mine has given me one as a present with a saito 56 (9.2 4 stroke) what do you think about? is it a good motor for a 1/5? thank you
Hi Andres, thanks for the com. If you can find an old copy of RC MODELER mag, July 2003, there is a great build article on this Cub byJerry Festa. On his Cub he mounted an O.S. .52 4-stroke. I have a Saito 60 twin on mine and I love the way it fly's and sounds.I like to fly scale,so don't expect unlimited vertical. If you like to fly fast,a 70 or 90 may be better for you. The kit is an easy and fun build. Hope this helps. KEN

throttle back and immerse yourself in the feel of flying that thing in the sky above you. a few moments of sheer relaxation
Can't beat the joy of flying a CUB.
Still the greatest plane made
Ken,
Congrats on a great Maiden! You make it look so easy.
Thanks Ron, It's a great flying plane and a fun kit to build. Sig knows there stuff.
great sound from the twin 4 stroke
Cubs need a lot of rudder to bring tail around in turns and counter adverse yaw. I fly mine with aileron/rudder mix most of the time.
I do too. This is my fourth Cub and they all fly about the same.
Nice maiden on a nice plane Ken, man i love the Cubs, i have 5 different Cubs, take caremy friend, Terry
Darn nice flight sir!

A .70 size four stroke is a nice fit to this size cub.
NIce cub! I have the Goldberg anniversary cub.

@@mattlv14 I want to fly mostly scale but want enough power to do a loop. How much motor do I need to do a loop? Thanks for your advice.
Installing wing, one piece or two is a pain, so is taking it off!
