I have just a few days experience with FreeCAD and I've watched and replicated a good number of youtube tutorials. Very good way to learn in my opinion. This one is a killer! Maybe not the first tutorial to watch, but in a while the beginner tutorials are getting too repetitive and over-pedagogic. This one is just perfect for the next step, before you are ready to stand on your own. Thank you loads!
Thank you for your excellent tutorial. I started using FreeCAD yesterday and made a discovery by accident. May be its not new but here goes. Right click on the view port and select Touchpad navigation. Back to the view port. Pressing Num-pad 1 will give a front view. 2, top. 3, right. 4, back. 5, bottom. 6, left, and of course 0, orthographic, using the X-Y plane. Thanks much and may I encourage you to continue your tutorials using the other tools.
I love these tuts! please do more! Ive gone from not knowing zip to actually being able to design and make something in freeCAD thanks to your tuts. I love how you encounter problems yourself and we see how you solve them. Thanks for all the help man!
Thank you for the guide! It was really fun to follow along. Hope to see more fun stuff. I 3d print things that i do in blender that are arty and now planing to do some tools, this is great. Thank you again!
Love your first two FreeCAD tutorials - and thank you for sharing them. This one looks promising, too - but it has no subtitles. Is there any possibility of getting the captions to appear on this video? I am hard of hearing and struggle to follow with audio only.
I've changed display speed to 1.25 and now it's great :) very good tutorial but I have one question. Why don't you use polar pattern instead of copy/paste/rotate? It's possible to create polar pattern around revolved center. Isn't it?
I cannot complete this example. At 18:55, version 0.16 of FreeCAD, November 16, 2017 release running on Ubuntu 18.04 does not allow me to "attach" that node to the grid line. I have tried it a dozen times and the error message is "Select two or more vertices from the sketch." What am I missing?
Using v.18 is difficult to do this part. We need a video just for the changes in v.18 for newbies, some things just don't work right...I can'tn add any tools I see you added to the Complete workbench, just not there
Can someone tell me, why in my 0.17 R13514 version, as in the video at 23:45-23:55,and same at 37:00, I can not fillet the edge neither in the Part Design bench nor in the complete bench? The program always say "Select an edge, face or body from an active body" when I already selected. In the Complete bench I don't have the fillet tool. I added manually. Thanks a lot! In this version I can do nothing in the Complete bench. I made the blade in the Part and Part Design benches.
Good luck with v.18 , you can't add any tools from the other work benches in Complete. Many changes make this video very difficult for a newbie like myself to follow with the latest version. And forget adding fillets or chamfers to this part.
At the time new extruded features were not properly recognized for that function, its probably fixed by now and your right that is the way it should be done

Just beginning with Freecad and have been struggling with all the things this tutorial has now taught me........Thanks!
By far the best FreeCAD tutorial out there.

This was VERY nice! I have just going through all your three tutorials. Thanks! Would love to see you do more tutorials on FreeCAD!
Excellent videos .. hope one day you make more, as I have learnt the most about Freecad, using your videos !
Outstanding presentation. You were talking to me. Thanks
Thanks for creating this video, really helpful. Hope to see more from you :)
Cool and impressive. Interface is a little clunky but certainly forgiving for just being able to do what it does. Thanks for sharing.

temperature alert at 1:17 Don't want to burn up your cpu.

thanks man you are great

Why do you produce 4 wings from one non via radial array?
At the time new extruded features were not properly recognized for that function, its probably fixed by now and your right that is the way it should be done
Hi! Use the array command of draft workbench...it worked for me... ;)
Thanks!
Really nice tutorial!
