Queen had agreed to allow their 1981 concerts in Montreal to be filmed which is why the resolution is so great. Unfortunately, the film crew (especially the director) had really pissed off the ban. They kept getting in the band's way in rehearsal and backstage before the concert. The director actually went out before the concert and told the audience they had to remain in their seats and contain their enthusiasm or they would be removed. That made Freddie livid! Queen loved their audience to sing along and move around to the music during their concerts. They wrote songs especially for the audience to sing along with them. So, seeing their audience so restrained because of the threats by the film company really did not sit well. At one point, a frustrated Freddie went to the edge of the stage and told the audience, "If you want to move your asses around, that's okay with us. If you want to take all your clothes off, that's okay too." They wanted their fans to enjoy themselves. The first part of this video was not part of the "Dragon Attack" song. It was Freddie's call and response but since the audience was so passive compared to what they were accustomed to, the band joined in to help him. First Roger started playing his drums to emphasize the beat, then John used his bass chords to get encourage the audience's response, and finally, Brian joined in with his Red Special until the whole band was just jamming. Then Freddie subtly turned the control over to Roger who then ended the jam and segued smoothly into "Dragon Attack". FYI - This is not the whole song "Dagon Attack', the studio version is longer. BTW, not a bad song considering that it came out of a late-night drunken jam session of the band.
Spot on, that is also the reason why Fred came out in the dinky shorts & neck scarf for We Will Rock You, he kept pissing them off too as he kept changing his clothes so they couldn't keep the continuity in editing and have the control over the different nights !!!! So clever Fred love you RIP sweetheart, you little beautiful Persian Poppinjay Brian and Rog manage to get hold of the rights of this video and got it edited and this is the result, but unfortunately all the clips that they didn't use they discarded which Bri and Rog are sad about :( :(
Here are more songs you will like: White Queen, Bijou, Save Me, In My Defense, Liar, You Take My Breath Away, Face It Alone, Who Wants To Live Forever..... And soooo many more. Every song they do is different and unique. This one Dragon Attack is fun and fabulous!
I. LOVE. IT…. Roger Taylor said that “whenever Freddie’s looking at you, you hit the drums a little HARDER!”😅 “Dragon Attack” was also John Deacon’s FAV song to play on the bass.
Love me some QUEEN! Awesome as usual! They are FANTASTIC live. Love all the facial movements Roger makes while playing the drums❤ RIP FREDDIE 11/24/1991. FREDDIE MERCURY 1946-1991 🎤♥🎤♥🎤
I love this sexy sassy song! “It’s hot, it’s mean” and it evolved out of a studio jam session with the band members (& alcohol) 😂 The studio version is definitely worth a listen. The shack mentioned in the song is referencing The Sugar Shack Night Club in Munich. John slappin’ the bass.
Great choice. For a great live instrumental try an early performance “White Queen” live at Hammersmith 1975 ruclips.net/video/f8usNj4x9NA/видео.html. Headphones help to pick up the more subtle sounds, especially on ones like this one

It’s not a song 😂. It’s Freddie getting the crowd pumped up .
There was only one song, Dragon Attack.
You are so handsome !
I think you will get more subscribers if you don’t talk through the entire song.
