Paul McCartney said that he composed this song that came up to him in a dream in a very short time. It took him almost 2 years to compose the lyrics. It was a hectic time for the Beatles with touring and performing all over. Paul was taking a well deserved break and was heading to the coast of Portugal for vacation. He wrote the lyrics during the 5 hours drive from Lisbon airport. He remembered his life as a child and how much he missed his mum and the way things used to be. Angelina Jordan is a special soul who can tap into the human spirit with such understanding of what makes us tick. As a teen I "stacked" my records on the phonograph with all my Beatles records to go to sleep by and would often have dreams as the records play that I was in a place with The Beatles and chatting with them. For her, it was her maternal grandpa who passed in Nov 2019. Although it is sad, it is also inspiring & has helped many people deal with a recent loss. Let me tell you something, Samantha. There are now 11,133 RUclips Reactors who have featured Angelina on their channels. Some only do one reaction to her and then disappear from view. Others have a "splurge" when they first discover her, and then there is nothing else from them. In many cases, that type use Angelina's talent to build their subscriber numbers. Many of them feature Angelina quite regularly but have little to add other than to play the video, ask the listener to subscribe to their channel and that's it. Then we come to the very few who not only understand and admire Angelina, but are visibly affected by her singing. I welcome you to that group of "genuine" Reactors. I have a number of covers of Yesterday by up and coming singers. All sang well, but they all pale in comparison to AJ. This is a song of yearning for something dear, but none of them exception AJ was able to deliver that. I have listened to AJ's cover quite a few times, and it always brings back my own 'yesterday'. As a teen I "stacked" my records on the phonograph with all my Beatles records to go to sleep by and would often have dreams as the records play that I was in a place with The Beatles and chatting with them. This brings back such good memories and Angelina has that effect on me with many of her songs because she does put so much emotion into them. It's a big reason why she has so many adoring fans, imo. Samantha, I am so sorry for the loss of your Nana, but Angelina wrote a song for you last year. It's called Million Miles & she said she wrote it for anyone who has lost a loved one. For her, it was her maternal grandpa who passed in Nov 2019. Although it is sad, it is also inspiring & has helped many people deal with a recent loss. She cleanses your soul, but make sure you have tissues available. My favorite of the several different versions, is the "Live in studio" one. Let me tell you something, Samantha. There are now 11,133 RUclips Reactors who have featured Angelina on their channels. Some only do one reaction to her and then disappear from view. Others have a "splurge" when they first discover her, and then there is nothing else from them. In many cases, that type use Angelina's talent to build their subscriber numbers. Many of them feature Angelina quite regularly but have little to add other than to play the video, ask the listener to subscribe to their channel and that's it. Then we come to the very few who not only understand and admire Angelina, but are visibly affected by her singing. I welcome you to that group of "genuine" Reactors. Although you are in that small group, it is always a pleasure to watch and listen to their videos.
There is no need to feel embarrassed at showing your emotions during a performance by Angelina. I discovered her way back when she first uploaded her original video to RUclips and that performance by a 7-year-old with wild hair and missing teeth brought me to tears by the sheer confidence she showed, the beauty of her voice and her humbleness when accepting the complimentary comments by the Judges. I cannot think of any performance of Angelina's which has not resulted in me crying, whether it be a sad or happy song. For me, it is just the "Angelina" affect, which I now take as normal.

I have a number of covers of Yesterday by up and coming singers. All sang well, but they all pale in comparison to AJ. This is a song of yearning for something dear, but none of them exception AJ was able to deliver that. I have listened to AJ's cover quite a few times, and it always brings back my own 'yesterday'.
