Green River, Wyoming - NRPA Gold Medal Winners - Parks and Recreation

The Green River Parks and Recreation Department has achieved an incredible milestone (in 2020) by being awarded the most prestigious honor in the Parks and Recreation profession. This video showcases our journey and the excellence that led to this recognition.

- Green River is the first agency in Wyoming to receive this grand award, out of approximately 8,000 Parks and Recreation Agencies in the United States.
- Less than 1% of agencies ever receive this award, making it an exceptionally rare and special honor.
- This achievement is the equivalent of winning the Academy Awards in the film industry, with the grand plaque being produced by the same company that makes the Oscars.
