From the developers standpoint it makes sense to shift metas from one strat to another to keep the players intrested and engaged. That's why balancing is not to make the game perfectly fair but to a certain amount and making few units or civs op and gutting them on the next patch

That last game was too suspicious - the number of times that guy was just in the right place at the right time... His scout was always ahead, his units always found the villagers. I would actually be surprised to learn that he wasn't cheating.
Ottomans are the most OP right now. I play Mongols, they are so hard to play and feels like they are not worth playing anymore. I literally had double gold and more resources than my ottoman opponent and still lost. That's like a few times this season now lol
jesus up to arounds 450apm... mine is like 50 lol... absolutely insane holy shit... i know some pretty good gamers and two of them are really fast but not even close to that fast that is just totally INSANE!! i just wonder if alot of them are repeat keys because it didnt register the first time or he wanted several of one thing.. its hard to keep up with he is so freaking fast.. lol

the first guy(deli player) had the best chance to win, unfortuanly he trowed it all away, when he started playing passive mid game and against otamans being passive in late game, is like asking to die.... gg games though
i dont think any civ should stand out as much as the ottoman does currently. OTD is balls compared to ottoman, i feel like i can confidently say that atleast.
