This channel is invaluable for coaches and those wanting to correct or modify their existing techniques to mimic those of the pros. I am NOT giving you guys any ideas but I have to be honest and say the quiet part out loud: I’d almost pay for the footages because they are THAT good..! But for time being, FREE is certainly welcome lol! Thank you for sharing, much appreciated!!
Great observation. It is definitely a unique shot. Sofi Kenin on the women's side has a somewhat similar takeback/wind-up. I'm almost surprised more players don't use it. It's just taking the unit-turn concept from the modern forehand and applying it to the backhand side. Might be harder to manage with a one-handed backhand, but Kwon makes it look easy with his two-hander.
Yellow shirt had the typical modern weak, limited inferior 2hbh, his forehand set up had a loop in it too, not sure who he is, but he probably is no more than a 5.5 player.
Is this a joke? That's Holger Rune who is ranked #8 in the world at age 19 and who defeated Djokkovic in the Paris Masters last year!! He's playing at about 35% of his actual level.

I love Kwon so much
Nice and simple take back of Rune forehand vs the unnecessarily big and loopy take back of Kwon's.
Kwon's two hander hits it so clean.

@@HolgerRuneFan who cares. Terrible strokes. The 2hbh is also easy to learn and adapt and was really intended for the female player.
@@TimTheMusicMan why don’t you use the 2 handed backhand and get top 10 in the world then 😂
