Hello...I'm wondering if you could help me with my issue? I followed the video and somehow the chips are soft...not crispy😭...the oil was hot and they're thin slices...I also let them dried out for few hours after I washed them...thank you kindly for your help.
Did you sliced them directly into the hot oil as shown in my video? Don't slice and dry them before frying. You also need to use the slicer and not cut by hand.
Ericia Neo I got this particular one many years ago at CK TANG if I remembered correctly. You can find other models at most departmental stores in the kitchen section
Eating some and it tastes disgusting at first but it tastes a bit better after a while :0 is it supposed to be like that? Do you cook fry or bake it? I got mine from my grand mother who just came back from abroad (hong kong) it came with a container so i guess im alright? O.o
You are such an orderly and neat cook....enjoy watching your videos.

Can it be sliced onto a plate first and not directly into the wok?
If you sliced onto a plate, the chips will stick together and it'll be more troublesome to separate them before frying.
@@ShiokmanEddiethank you.
Just ate some. Buy ready made easier
Just saw this. Can this be baked instead?
If you bake them it will be burned easily as the chips are thin and it won't be as crispy if you fry them.
@@ShiokmanEddiedidn’t think of that. thank you.
Where do u buy the slicer from?

Hello....is there a specific thickness in order to make the ngaku chips? Thank you kindly.
No but try to slice as thin as possible to get maximum crispiness
Thank you kindly for your help
You're welcome
no need to season with salt?
Not necessary so that you can taste the actual flavour of the chips. But of course it's up to you if you prefer a little salty

No it doesn't taste disgusting at all. It's an acquired taste I guess. Yes it's fried.
Shiokman Eddie thanks for the quick reply!
