Update… I contacted TCI about sending replacement parts of the failed components. After a heated debate and much frustration TCI decided to ship replacement parts. I thanked TCI for stepping up to the plate to remedy the situation. But honestly after the debacle was over I decided to part ways with TCI and informed UPS to send the parts back. I wished them the best, but I will stay clear from anything TCI from now on.
That's exactly why I won't buy from tci or monster,or any of them for that matter. I rebuild them on my own, can't say I'm a pro but I would rather cause the costly mistake myself than pay for someone else's mistakes
Yeah, and it least it only costs a few hundred as a mistake as apposed to $1500 or $1600 hundred or more, whatever you paid for that expensive TCI trans!! I got my TH350 for... FREE!!! Brother in-law had no need for it, so he gave it to me. If you look around, you can find TH350's and TH400's very cheap, and rebuild them yourself for two or three hundred bucks!
@@Anarchy-Is-Liberty honestly transmission building isn't all to hard as long as you have proper literature and can comprehend said literature. I have a book specifically for th350's and a book for every transmission made in the mid 80's, and I mean every transmission made in the 80's is in that book. Even foreign cars and manual transmissions.
Should be interesting I just literally bought one last week after finding your channel 😂 you have great content please keep sharing 👍👍 your videos on carb tuning and fuel system are the 💥
Man I'm gonna let u Kno something since I was a kid I been loveing hot rods especially s10s ride now I'm working on one that I wanna name after my dad that pass in 2003 never had the money r time to build a truck but Slowly by slowly I'm getting one bulit I just wish he was here to see what it's coming out like I love ur videos keep up the good work on urs hopefully one day u will see mine on utube u inspire me to finish mine
Great video, glad that TCI did the right thing. But please no music next time. Volume goes up and you have turn it down then goes down and you can't hear what he was saying so you have to turn it up again and rewind.
I had great luck with TCI on a 700r4 . But it was built in independent shop with all TCI parts. I used a cooler also. Was daily driver and street strip .
Brian I’ve had good luck with their converters, coolers etc, but not their transmissions. Go to summit or jegs and read the reviews on them and you’ll see I’m not alone. Actually I loved me TCI converter for my glide.
I'm seeing if TCI will send me a master rebuild kit and new 36 element drum. I think it's fair since they installed a faulty drum that caused the failure.
I've got a tci 700r4 reverse shift manual valve body with no TV cable in my 93 s10. Real strong shifts from 1st to 2nd. Shifting into 3rd at wot it wants to flash up several hundred RPMs.
Sad to hear. I got a 10 year old tci th350 that’s been flogged on by multiple people lol. I’m sure I’ll break it this year but I hope she lasts a few 9 sec passes lol
That would be a good idea, it will be satisfying to build your own trans! I have a 4l80e in my truck that’s not built, but I did do the shift kit and re programming kit with no issues and it’s holding up great
Honestly think tci has been behind the ball for at least 15 years... in doing comparisons there's company's like Hughes I believe stay up with the times. But tci was the go to in the 90s and earlier
Thanx, motors I can do anything with... I'm completely clueless when it comes to transmissions. My brother and I are process of putting a ZZ4 355 in a S10, procharged, QA1 front suspension and a 3link rear. Keep the S10s alive🤘👊👊👊

Ive heard bad things about them... I went with Jake's performance here in texas
@@demarques1911 how you like the Jake's trans
Hows this trans holding up?
Oh no...I just installed one, we'll see, so far so good....Like your videos though
@@MrRajay2U You may be ok

I’ve never had any luck with TCI transmissions lasting. It’s a shame
I guess I've been lucky with my tci 3,000 stall then

Oh damn I didn’t know that trans blew up! Shit man! You think your buying good stuff! Glad you got it all fixed up!!
They seem like good people👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

TPV Productions yeah buddy! They should! Hopefully they make good!
Hope you learned your lesson, have it built first. Tci is horrible when it comes to customer support. Keep the videos coming !!

Awesome I bought the same trans for my s10. I've called tci twice and they're customer service is worthless.
I just had my TCI th350 go out. Every gear went out. Even reverse. Probably only had 500miles on it.
When the stall converter was swapped in the chev powered S10 l did see particles in the transmission pan bummer.

Seems to be a running theme with tci
Next up: S-10 doing class racing at MIR.
Man went through this stuff with TCI 750hp trans sprags broke 160 miles on it. Tci said 30 day warranty no help at all. This stuff not right.
Just curious how were the clutches as far material wise?
He said they were good clutches.
where did you get the bench dress from.
Are those 8" or 10" wide wheels on there?
Killer vid! I want to build my next trans! It’s the only part of the drive train I haven’t built
I got another th350 that needs just a freshen up. Probably going to do it in a video soon. I need to get some books and research before hand.

I was about to buy this transmission, well ima get the summit brand one instead.

So did he repair your TCI trans, or did you buy the one he had for sale?
It will be both eventually.
Can he machine that spot out?
I don't believe so it needs to be replaced. I think the pump slides into that drum.

Tyler-sealing rings with in that bore
What were you think putting that garbage music on. Seriously if I want music I'll look up music.
