When I hear tactical Military Knives the first thing that comes to mind is the Microtech Marfione Custom ADO-L Large Fixed Blade Knife or the Marfione Custom Knives Interceptor Survival Knife (7.875" Apocalyptic). Yeah, they are pricy, but in the field you want reliability. Elmax or 3V HRC 60 steel will definitely last + fixed blade.
AB173 I agree. There really isn’t a true all purpose use knife out there. There’s definitely a lot of multi-task knives but a folding knife will never be as strong as a fixed blade and a fixed blade will never be as concealable as a folding knife of equal size.
You don’t know a damn thing about knives you just said that so it can seem like you know about knives but in reality you don’t know nothing about knives
@porscheguy09 I understand I'm 4 years late but... Have you heard of cold steels Tri-ad lock? The lock is insanely strong and the handle will break before the lock breaks there's a lot of torture tests on RUclips it's insane.
Whoever compiled this list obviously has zero experience with any of the knives featured. Probably a good idea to put “In my opinion” on the title of your video. Instead of stating it like your list is based on facts.
I had a kydex sheath made by red hill sheaths with a fire starter piggyback on the sheath with a nylon belt loop. I’ve had a cold steel sheath fail on me before, their loop separated from its mounting point. The aftermarket sheath is more rugged and you can have more options to carry/color etc.
I have some knives which would fit the needs of military and bushcraft personnel. I love them because of the quality of the materials used to build them. My first choice is the Ka-Bar BK2, the Ka-Bar Moransk knife, the Schrade SNCF26 knife which I keep on my utility belt, and there are many other knives I have in my collection for general purpose use like my Buck 119 and 120.
Phillip Davis Bark River,LT Wright and Fallkniven also make some excellent knives...the people who run this channel definitely need to do there research..I’m mean, they consider 8CR13MOV Chinesium as a high quality steel.I mean, there are worse steels out there but it is pretty damn far from a high quality steel..lol
I totally agree with you,I have one for at least 2 years now and and I love it, but to be exact the fm 81 isn't a millitairy knife either because of the surrations it would be a war crime to use it in the millitairy. The army version is the fm 78.
Nice collection of knives. All would be fine to own. You did include a Ka Bar but not the one that counts. The original KaBar has been around for just about ever. There are many like it but nothing comes close for overall dependability. I have the same one for more than 40 years and it is well used. It is the timex of knives. Also number 2 is the Buckmaster 184. you cant have a top 10 with out listing them 1 and 2
Coast make a great knife that folds out has a serrated part of the blade along with the strait cut also two lock system one while open and another to keep it from folding back on your rings, the blade is pretty resilient. Home Depot for $22.00
I have several of these knives, definitely not the CRKT folder. None of my Gerbers hold an edge. My best knives are definitely my Tops knives, I have a Tops police interceptor, a Skull crusher and an Operator7. I would also add my Cold Steel 7" Recon tanto that's 30 years old and has done it all. Even put it through a thin steel plate with no damage. My wife and son also have Tops knives and none of us ever had an issue in the bush or daily care with Tops. For me when your talking about "survival " folders don't fall into this category.
I had a CQB1 by Camillus, Cold Steel SRK with carbon V blade and one other one I can't think of this second. One combat knife per kid and I kept the Becker BK-16 for myself. I trust those in combat and outdoors. I bet my life on those 3 and my kids are using them now. I figure I am done with combat(retired Army) and no sense holding on to them.
the cold steel GI tanto wasnt on this list my bot friend was so impressed with it he started buying em and giving em as gifts to friends and family i have him throw EVERYTHING at that blade and it never bent or broke
That's the only thing you noticed? lol Any cheaply made knife, that doesn't sell at all, is in a top 10 BEST survival knife, of these kind of channels. Funny thing is, that the guy doesn't even make an effort! lol

My carry knife that did everything I needed for the job while I was in the military was the mighty ............ Swiss Army Knife.
Thats a good one. My Victorinox is always in my pocket.
SAKs are excellent little knives
I do recommend an aftermarket sheath for #5 cold steel Warcraft tanto.
What kind of sheath do you recommend and why?
I had a kydex sheath made by red hill sheaths with a fire starter piggyback on the sheath with a nylon belt loop. I’ve had a cold steel sheath fail on me before, their loop separated from its mounting point. The aftermarket sheath is more rugged and you can have more options to carry/color etc.

Sog has a popular rep for breaking. They say it’s full tang but the tests I’ve seen begs to differ

What happened to the BK& KA-BAR..BK2
I like the lmf 2 because its thicker and has a longer blade but i like the gerber strongarm because it has horizontal carry which i prefer

Melee weapoms in general are just fun to play with in the house even if there's no use for them. Just make sure no one is near you. Lol.
Extrema Ratio?
