Thank you for the run through. I enjoyed listening to your interpretations how the various effects affect the sound. You pro audio guys has a much better handle on audio than most of us "audiophile" audio lovers.
Hey! Very nice tutorial! I have a question and I hope you can help me: when you save the config comp/eq/rev on the PC, is it possible to use that same config live (unplugged to the pc)? Like it was saved into the mixer itself? And what about the ch02? If it is possible to load the the setup live, when you save just comp/eq (not an amp) enable amp button, what happens? Thanks fot the help
can anyone help me out!? im not getting my acoustic guitar through to my DAW (Studio One). i can hear my guitar but theres no volume peaks and nothings actualy recording. i know im missing something simple and obvious.
Hello! I have the common issue with the DSP driver, it cannot detect the AG03 while its connected to Macbook. I tried redownloading it but still, I can’t use it maximize the full potential of AG03 without being connected to the DSP driver. Help please. Thanks and great contents you have!
The only way you stop mic feedback is to reduce mic gain or lower speaker volume. There is no real magic tool. There are some hardware feedback detectors that notch problem frequencies in a hall.
I want someone to explain to me ... when I use a program for multi-channel recording such as Steinberg Cubase or similar, I connect the guitar to channel 2 on the Yamaha AG03, headphones to the computer output, THE SOUND HAS A DELAY! (about 1/4 sec.) I can't concentrate, it bothers me. This is probably the result of USB audio processing. If I play a recording in Cubase that I recorded (accompaniment) and I want to record another guitar channel (solo), the sound on channel 1 and the one I am recording live are not synchronized. HOW YOU DO IT. Please help!!!
You will need a DI box for direct bass guitar connection into the Mic input to get good result. If you use a pedal for the bass with line out, then you are good to go :)
Not sure what you mean? Do you mean connect the AG03 output to DEQ2496 or how to connect the output of DEQ2496 to AG03? What are you trying to achieve or have?
Sorry for my english, connect the output AG03 to DEQ2496, and then return with the audio from DEQ2496 to AG03, is that I have a web radio and would like to transmit that audio to the internet
There is no way to have the output of AG02 to connect to DEQ2496 and return the output of DEQ2496 back into AG03, as this will create a loopback and damage both equipment. AG03 does not have channel INSERT option on its inputs.
Hi! Love these videos of yours and the funny way you show the stuff! I just have a question about the AG03... I can select the mixer's output and throw IDK maybe 3 or more tracks (just to listen them) or am I limited to the number of tracks supported by the mixer?
Yamaha AG03 has 2 output and 2 return audio channels. So you can connect a Mic and a guitar and record 2 tracks in your software. While playing back those 2 recorded, you can record a second guitar on track 3 in your software. While playing the 3 tracks, you can record a Mic on the 4th track in your software, and so on. You can record 2 independent channels or 1 stereo channel from the mixer i.e. a keyboard or drum machine. Hope this answers.
Hi, I'm not sure whether you can help me please. I'm trying to equalize my AG03 for my Alto Saxophone, but I'm not happy with actual results. Do you have any advice to me? The problem I'm facing is about effects... reverb is so intensive and I would like a little reverb impact in my song...
You can adjust every expect of the EQ and the reverb. Best to read about and experiment. You can always turn the reverb level down in expert mode screen.
Hi, the misfit of the AGDSP controller window (in Expert mode) is a rather annoying issue (no way to resize it), which is also present in my notebook. Did you succeed in fixing it?
maybe stupid question but can you record at the same moment what you are singing in karaoke. I mean kan you simultaneously record? thanks for the nice vids!
+Tim Musicco Yes you can. Load the Karaoke audio file into your DAW as a track for play, add another track to record your vocals (only), record your vocals while playing the karaoke track, then play them both and mix them. If you are using Karaoke machine, you can use the AG03 2nd channel (stereo 6.5mm Jacks) to connect to and record it on your PC, including Comp/EQ FX and reverb. Hope this answers your question
Does it have any delay if you apply all of those effects? If it does, than how much? I hope it works like any other mix, but having EQ settings in windows is kind of suspicious. I'm thinking about buying this mix for my xlr mic and guitar, so I can use the guitar amp live on my pc.
+WitusSK No, There is only reverb effect option. Maybe if you adjust some of its settings might get close to delay. I'll try later on. The DSP Controller is only there to adjust. Once set, you do not need any laptop or PC to have the effects. The effects are built inside the mixer itself. Once set, you can turn them on using the buttons on the mixer.
+RecordingStudio9.com So everything is happening in the mixer, in windows you're just adjusting the settings. Now I get it. I thought, It's the other way around. Thank you very much :)
Been watching all your videos on ag03 great work can ask you a question on my ag06 very close to returning it :(. It seems to click/crackle ever 45 seconds when I record any ideas???
Hi, if I am using a soft stringed instrument like a sitar, please advise how I can increase the bass and at the same time cut out a bit of the metallic sound. I am using a Yamaha AG06
Hi. I have been unable to find good information on how to use the AG DSP Controller software. This is the best so far! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your feedback.
Thank you for thorough and informative run down of each function and for the great singing.
good job as tutorial Yamaha AG03-6 Mixer - DSP Expert Mode
I gave you thumbs up for the singing
LOL, much appreciated!
You got a pretty viral name atm
@@CatamaranChannel Thats my name 5 years ago.. Coz I love the genome formula. No piracy, I can authenticate when you deceive me with analogue.
Oh. Everything is clear now. Thank you very much!
Very useful sir,, just subscribed…i bought this on my bday last 3 days ago,,,,
Your singing. At first I did not know what to think. Now I say this, you have a good voice. Nice. Good video on DSP. I had no clue.
Thanks

The DSP effects are really great to have onboard, so having a bit of reverb on vocals, while recording dry, works really well.
Great tutorial! Easy to follow and understand with all necessary detail. It's enjoyable at the same time :) Thanks so much.
You are most welcome and thanks for the feedback.
You are a legend! You look like such a nice positive guy. I wish u all the best. btw thanks u helped me make a decision to get the AG03
Thanks, you won't regret your purchase
Thank you! Pity there's no noise gate/downward expander function included, that would have been great.
@Jared Bronson yup, I have been watching on flixzone for months myself :)
nice! thanks for this tutorial, helps a lot yahoooo
You're awesome thanks you so much. You made me love this mixer
You're welcome, and join the club of 'love this mixer', including myself.
One quick question, can I edit the DSP and save in the mixer? So I can use the effect without connecting to a computer?
Yes, that is correct. You can just use a USB power adapter to run with no PC, and use the last Comp/FX settings during a live gig.
That was exactly the question I wanted to ask!!! Thank you
Hello can i change the low mid's and high's from my overall audio and my microphone with this software?
Thanks 4 this information!
Nicely done.
Thanks

Now that you've had this for some time, how has it lasted? Do you think it is noisy or quiet (sounds great in the video)?
Still use it to date, everyday. Never had any issues.
What is the best way to boost bass in this expert mode?
Use the EQ section. This only effects CH1 & CH2, not the Stereo Line level input.
haha what an awesome channel Señor, subbed
Thanks for watching and subscribing.

If you have the older AG03 model, the latest driver may not work. Try downloading an older version.
Thank you Thank you !
What adjustment(s) would be made in the EQ if more bass was needed on Input one (for an XLR mic)?
Hello nice tutorial
can you tell me if it is possible to block microfone feedback from speakers into microfone with this ag´s from yamaha?
The only way you stop mic feedback is to reduce mic gain or lower speaker volume. There is no real magic tool. There are some hardware feedback detectors that notch problem frequencies in a hall.

does this software have a noise gate filter?
That's the only thing missing. It would have been great if it did. So no.

Hey man, kind of a late reply..but did you find a fix?
Hello. Great review. Can I use software EQ also for stereo input or for master or it just works fork channel 1 - mic input ?
Thanks. They are just for input 1 & 2.
Can I plug in a guitar in the guitar input an a bass in the mic input without breaking mixer and speaker ? XD seriously I need to know this...

@@RecordingStudio9 thanks! Really helpfull
Wish they would have had the foresight to add more than just reverb to the effects.

I need to listen only the reverb, but its no possible. I need control over the return.
The return is controlled by the amount sent to the FX.
Thanks 👍
Can we reset all the settings to the default?
Yes, there are presets and default option. It's very flexible.
