Glad to see the mill in action ! You mean I have to wait a whole year to see what that birch figure looks like ?!? :)

No, it will be a year before I do something with the wood. When I get a chance I will post a pic in the community section showing what the inside of the log looks like.

Good video! I know it's cold but winter sure makes a nice backdrop for your videos. Nice hat by the way!

When I saw the front of the tractor going down when you picked the log up, I thought that you were probably pushing it. In the wider view, it looked like the rear tires were about to leave the ground. Some more weight on the back and loading the tires if the aren't already loaded would help.
Nice job on milling up the big birch log. Looks like some nice boards. Did you mill up the rest?
    Thanks for sharing

Thanks for watching. It was a bit much for the tractor. Tires are not loaded and more weight in the back would help. Have not finished the log yet. Camera battery was low, mill needed gas, and only a half hour of light left so I finished early. Now mill is under a foot of snow, the joys of milling in the winter.

@@mylifedeliberately I came close to turning a tractor over. Not an experience that I want to repeat. Loading the tires helps to keep the rear on the ground and helps on rolling to the side. If you have rocks on the property, you could fabricate a rock box for the 3 point. Hope you can show us the grain on the birch. I have used birch plywood, but never solid birch. Any word on when you will get the power feed?

Been procrastinating on loading the tires. Definitely something I need to do. I will post a pic in the community section showing the inside of the log. No word on the power feed yet. I do understand that there are some upgrades coming for the power lift. Stay tuned.
