With all the vintage SECTAURS in my collection I'm pretty happy that finally Stellara has been made and match well with the others. So I'm happy with the vintage look and feel
Nostalgia is a heck of a drug. I had a few of these guys back in the 80s, most notably the rare wave 2 Dargon with the Dragonfly backpack companion with glow in the dark butt and wing-flapping action. :)
I had that Dargon figure and I hadn't thought about it in 30+ years. I never knew who he was or why I had him but I did. It's crazy when you stumble across something from your childhood that you had completely forgotten about but recognize it as soon as you see it.
I actually had Dargon's Dragonflyer mount. Really great toy. Had battery operated wings that flapped and underneath was a black glove that doubled as its legs. Long lost toy, but the memories are still around.
Great review I finally picked these up and was very pleased with my purchase I haven’t opened them up yet, I’m not sure if I will because I like their packaging so much I definitely agree we need more bugs in the line and some villains too I think this was the perfect mix of modern and vintage and wish honestly they would have gone with the same mix for the Biker Mice in terms of articulation/design
I was a huge Sectaurs fan. I went crazy over them & had the entire line except for the hive playset which I never saw & didn't even know existed until years later. But now that I'm 51, I just don't care anymore. I don't want to collect these at 51, I want to go back in time & be able to buy Stellara & wave-2 (and 3 & 4) back then as a kid. Collecting this stuff now just ain't the same. I might just buy Stellara but $40 for just the figure & no bug companion is hard pill to swallow.
This comment really hits home and applies to all the retro-franchises. Even though I get excited about them, the reality is that I haven't and really wont "play" with them like I would have 40yrs ago. And its not like "new" kids will play with them outside of parents specifically buying for their kids (since these are mail-order only), but then again these "parents" are 50, and most of their kids are too old already.
She should have had a waist swivel and a rapier rather than a tiny dagger. They kind of short changed her. Also hate how the boot sculpting is broken up, but if you just bent the top part you can get away with it. The ankles, on the other hand, are one step up from worthless. All that gripping aside, I DO like these guys. Hopefully we'll get a full sized steed in future.
I think found the bootleg version of these figures in a Goodwill store here in Sweden. An all painted green figure with the upper strength of a He Man (not the same structure thou), a blue helmet and red eyes. I dont remember if you could move his arms or not. I dont think so, if I am correct, he was molded in one part, almost like those "Bend en":s figs. The fig is in a drawer at my parents flat (Yes, of course I bought him 😄), thus the "I am not sure"-perspektive. ED: And one _Google minute_ later, I found Mr _Insect Man_ with movable arms and head...
Wow I am really loving how true they stayed to the designs. I will say the bit of boot on the knee was a questionable method but not a deal breaker. Also , well, the original Dargon headsculpt looks better than the new one to me. Stellara looks flippin sick, I love her paint! I can only think the mounts are coming in the future, maybe with the money they make from these 2. I forgot which one I had as a kid, the only one I had, I saw someone in the comments mention the one where it hurt their finger to operate, I can't find the comment now but that's the one I had, I can never forget that unique pain lol. That is also a bummer there was no bug accessory, missed opp there. Great review!
wow, I almost completely forgot about these toys, my brothers and I each had one figure with a mount, I think mine was the main bad-guy but don't remember entirely
Don't recall seeing Sectaurs in stores growing up or even seeing the figures in secondary market. The bugs and accesories looks familiar though. Think I've seen those mix in buckets at some garage sales or flea markets. Didn't even know they have a full wave. Only know Sectaurs from Star Comics because the stories were interesting. 🤔 New line looks promising though. I wonder if they'll make Scorpia from the comics? She looked awesome! She's like a buggy version of Hela. 😊
Cool review. TBH, Not gonna open my wallet until we get a working Dragonflyer puppet with moving motorized wings. The coolest thing about this figure line was the hand puppets.
I was lucky enough to own a Zak and Bitaur back in the day. Bitaur hurt my fingers when he snapped his jaws. I liked the figure, he looked aloof or vacant kind of like a Transformer.
These just don't live up to the vintage figures for me, or Dargon at least. The packaging is disappointing, as well as the lack of their critter friends. Plus their head sculpts just look mushy and shiny and undefined. I had tons of these as a kid and they ended up in a yard sale at some point, but these are just not impressive enough to spend any money on or add to my collection IMO.
Thanks Again Pixel Dan!...Your Videos Are The "BEST!"...Been Watching For Years Now! Sectaurs? Remember, when toy line first out. The cartoon series as well as comic book series by Marvel Comic Group. Wanted, to start collecting this series but never did. Saw, them in the day at Toys-R-Us. Later on I worked at a vitage toy store. Their, they were again mint-on-card and box. 'I Love Bugs' O'no, I said to myself "NO NOT THIS TIME!" Pixel Dan. Today, on E-bay I won on a bid now both on their way to my home! YES! I, Agree Dan more action figures maybe a re-lease of cartoon series on Dvd. About "New" comics, poster, etc. "Watch Out He-Man and She-Ra...Their BACK The Sectaurs!" I think maybe things are going to be a little bugg' with the "New' kids back on the block....The Sectaurs! "All My Best To You And Your Family Pixel Dan", M.S.Holder (i.e creaturman) Tucson,Az.
Packaging should have been boxes like the originals. Blisters means cards will be destroyed. No bugs and no mini comic, map or other immersive material is also a bummer.
While, I'm excited for vintage collectors. This is kind of a bummer for me. It doesn't make much sense to have a lot of the other properties in the Nacelleverse modern renditions and these to be retro style. I'd eat up some masterverse style sectaurs.
I used to own a vintage Stellara. I wish I still had her but at the time I needed the money. I'm excited for this line, they look perfect! I would prefer a Mego-style box for packaging though.
I always pronounced it Seck-tars, but you know what's cool? Your comment prompted me to search RUclips and they have have both the commercials and the cartoon! In the commercial they pronounce it -tores, in the toon they pronounce it -tars. Go figure! :P
wow I’m honestly shocked WHY even revisit these if your going to make them worse in almost every aspect. LOOK at those face sculpts Jesus what a disaster. If I was in charge of this line I would be so embarrassed with this release like what are you even doing literally almost 40 years later you can’t bend your brain around making a better sculpt maybe even … gasp 😱 more detailed so they fit in with other lines. So much more expensive such bizarre choices. Please do everyone a favor don’t continue this line.
Had no idea there was a remake of these toys that's so cool 😎. Even today I just went and won vintage Trancula and skulk on ebay and then I stumbled across this video and find out the toy line has remakes 🥹
I like the pose at time: 7:49.
The lack of trigger fingers doesn't bother me.
38 years later we get a higher price, less defined characteristics, no bug, and smaller figures.
I want the bugs! 🐛
That's what we call progress, or something
They shouldn’t have missed the mark on the sizing, Or Dargons excellent original face sculpt. It’s sitting right in front of you, use it!
With all the vintage SECTAURS in my collection I'm pretty happy that finally Stellara has been made and match well with the others. So I'm happy with the vintage look and feel
Thanks for your support and kind words!
I still remember watching you're original video for sectaurs feels like forever ago now
I didn't know Sectaurs Figures existed until now! Very Interesting and Informative. Thanks Pixel Dan for Sharing! 🤓👍👍
I remember the comic and toys. Never owned any of the figures.
@@countofdownable Cool! 👍

Yes it is - Nostalgia is powerful!

I like the size.
These will fit in nicely with all the other 6 and 7 inch figures.
I actually had Dargon's Dragonflyer mount. Really great toy. Had battery operated wings that flapped and underneath was a black glove that doubled as its legs. Long lost toy, but the memories are still around.
Loved the dragonflyer mount! We have plans to include the bugs in future waves!

Great review! My preorder is in. Think we need a Brian Volk-Weiss interview on these things!
Woooo! Let's do it! Thanks for your support.

Get her anyway and find someone who can sculpt a bug for you like I'm having done for mine

I didn’t know they made ball ratchet joints! TIGHT!
Yeahhhhh!
awesome job Dan . you know now that your going to have to get that Hyve playset to display them all on lol .
Dan is the best!!
I had Dargon and his bug. I loved this series
YIKES!
That ankle joint was scary.
At least it didn't actually break.
Hi Pixel Dan, Sectaurs it's a great toy line and these new figures are awesome! Thanks for the review, blessings! 🤘😎
Yesss! Thanks for your kind words!
no bug partners feels like a big miss for me, I really enjoyed the recent 4inch scaled versions
There will be bugs in future waves!

OMG I had these action figures when i was a kid! I also had the original 5' foot Castle with the huge puppet spider that was attached to it!
Zak was the only one I had. Sectaurs were practically non-existent here in Germany.
Nacelle should definitely release the bugs. Hopefully that can find out how the original pearlescent translucent wings were made.
To be better than the original, they're going to need puppets to ride.
They also need to be a LOT cheaper.
That’s crazy I had these actions figures and there mount puppets when I was a kid thank 4 making feel old😅😂
Oh the memories!
I have all the og figures. And wings… yes I got wings.i will get her to add for sure.
Wooo! Thanks for your support!
wow, I almost completely forgot about these toys, my brothers and I each had one figure with a mount, I think mine was the main bad-guy but don't remember entirely
Thanks Dan! I'm considering this just because I had a few when I was a kid! I did like the Zica Toys version as well!
Woooo!

Yeah this pretty much killed my enthusiasm for the line.
Same here

I was lucky to buy most of them at Hamleys in London and different places in France, but never saw the Hyve playset. Now I will try to buy Stellara.
No links to buy these, Dan?
The holsters held the guns better on the vintage figure.

What really bugged me about the original line is the BUGS!
As long as the new bugs aren't too realisitic then it might be ok.

Very cool looking figures. I never had one of these (the Originals).
Thanks for the kind words!
Just saw this in person at the comic store and they look great! Would totally fit with the original... just a hair smaller but thats ok
I have the hyve complete with box

Stellara was never released.
@@Rocket1377 They were made as factory prototypes, I had one and I've seen others. All of the unreleased series had production samples made.
Thanks!!
If they produce the puppets, I'll jump in. Otherwise, nah.
At least get the girl.she turned out fantastic.and it's her debut.
Puppets will be coming in future waves!
@@nacellecompany Great to hear! Thank you!
The ones I saw said Walmart on them
These look really nice
Thanks for the kind words!
These look ok.
Hopefully the company is making improvements for the next wave of figures, but this is a pretty good start.
Where can i Get these??
Awesome toys collection ❤❤❤❤❤😊
They look nice although id have preferred something a bit different from the vintage figure and dare i say it, modern.
I thought it was pronounced "Seck-tores"? The name is basically a mix of the words (In)sect and (Dinos)aurs...
I always pronounced it Seck-tars, but you know what's cool? Your comment prompted me to search RUclips and they have have both the commercials and the cartoon! In the commercial they pronounce it -tores, in the toon they pronounce it -tars. Go figure! :P
Meh, without the hand puppets there's little reason to get these.
They plan to do the bugs after they see how well wave two sells
They're coming in future waves!
Just copped these at Walmart. Clearance 12.49$
Excellent figures. Now bring on their insect partners.😃
They're coming in future waves!
@@nacellecompany Awesome! And thanks you for Stelara.
Sorry but that package design is No Bueno
Nope, doesn't do it for me. Barely an upgrade... and not as good in the face.
But I wasn't big into Sectaurs anyway.
Get the girl anyway
I like the Zica toys 3.75 figures better, too bad it was short lived.
No "It bugs me"-jokes?! 🤔
😄😉
No way!
🤘😁👍
No bugs what
Cardbacks seem unnecessarily big. Lot of dead space between logo and figure.
Ugh that put on vioce is awful. "Heeey guys!!!"
Just talk normal.
The originals are definitely better, especially the faces. Why can't someone just re-release them exactly as they were? And with the bugs!
Wow
❤️❤️❤️
Esta línea de juguetes es horrible 😬
Much better than the originals

If these had been the same design as the Biker Mice From Mars figures I would be all over these like white on rice.
Had no idea there was a remake of these toys that's so cool 😎.
Even today I just went and won vintage Trancula and skulk on ebay and then I stumbled across this video and find out the toy line has remakes 🥹
