I never heard this march before and I'm assuming it had lyrics to go with it like most other German marching music. The Waffen SS has a bad reputation and was completely disbanded at wars end so I'm assuming all the music associated with it died too. On a different note it was diverse because it was the only branch of Germany's military that would take foreigners. It was in effect Germany's version of the French Foreign Legion. It also had some premier Divisions like the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich (previously SS Verfügungs Division: later SS Panzergrenadier Division Das Reich), 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf (previously SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf). These divisions were used as "shock troops" during WW2 when the regular army was being pushed back.

This makes me proud to be German and im not even German!
I never heard this march before and I'm assuming it had lyrics to go with it like most other German marching music. The Waffen SS has a bad reputation and was completely disbanded at wars end so I'm assuming all the music associated with it died too.
On a different note it was diverse because it was the only branch of Germany's military that would take foreigners. It was in effect Germany's version of the French Foreign Legion. It also had some premier Divisions like the 1st SS Panzer Division Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler, 2nd SS Panzer Division Das Reich (previously SS Verfügungs Division: later SS Panzergrenadier Division Das Reich), 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf (previously SS Panzergrenadier Division Totenkopf). These divisions were used as "shock troops" during WW2 when the regular army was being pushed back.
