Dottore's VA did a great job here. I really dig the transition from Escher to Dottore.
If there is a NPC who was worthy of a vision, it was Niwa. He was carrying his massive balls of steel to the very end.
And boy did his last line destroy me.
All the voice actors were amazing, holy shit. I don't know what it is, slowly realizing that it was Dottore, or Niwa’s death, but this scene stood out to me the most of all even more than the final boss. It just unfolded so perfectly.

The moment I heard that voice at the start, of Escher, I got the strongest "stranger-danger" ever.
There's something in the way he talks that outs him as Dottore, and I'm sure what players feel when they realize its him, that the person in front of Niwa is a monster in disguise before we actually see him, was terror and sadness knowing for sure Niwa wasn't going to get out of there alive.
What I'm sure that we weren't expecting was Dottore going as far as to mock the dying Niwa like that, jesus.
yeah somehow i don't think dottore is gonna be playable. when you realise he is the most evil character in genshin we currently know, and what he did to niwa's heart after murdering him is just wtf moment.
@@someoneinasia I mean, the Balladeer effectively orchestrated Inazuma's fall into corruption and decline after joining the Fatui, having many people killed along the way, to not say he had Teppei killed by proxy (which is apparently the reason why the Traveler is so cross with him instead of say, Childe or Signora, who he showed even more empathy to than Scaramouche)
Is the 'live to repent' aspect of this story that I feel may be connected to Dottore- like, killing Dottore would just be being merciful in comparison to all the things he did in life, I get the feeling that his segments, especially the last one, maybe hinting at us witnessing the oldest segment being the one killed while we get the youngest (which was the last to curse Dottore at the end of the Archon Quest) to stay and work to mend all the wrongs he did as he grew up to be the Second Harbinger.
If he's playable, I'll assume we'll get the 'nerfed' young version of him to help us and it could be a situation of having an eye on this very perturbed individual because we would be the only ones actually still strong enough to put him in his place- since it looks like we are fighting Dottore in the story later, like how they found Signora's model for later.

400+, Signora was also 500+ years old her husband died in the Khaenri’ah calamity. Not exactly sure how human lifespan works in this world
Most likely him and others like Signora have methods to extend their own lifespan. With Dottore, likely he has turned his own original body into mechanical life form of sort, much like his segments. With Signora, it's probably because she has turned herself into a living flame, basically becoming an elemental life form.
at least 2 of the harbingers are 400+ years old (scaramouche and dottore) while another 2 are 500+ (pierro and signora)

Sure, dr. Zandik's eng VA is a real genius and his voice and manner fits the Doctor that much you couldn't even think the original Doctor could sound the other way. Scaramuccia's eng VA is truly the best too, the most typical sounding for him and greatly expressed vivid emotions.
Yiu know, he was working with Dortore for 400 years. And Dottore was the one who gave him a new life in all senses. He had lead him to the Fatui Harbingers and unsealed his power (sealed by Ei) during his another little experiments. Yes, he experimented on him maybe in more cruel ways further but still I guess he was something like a senior mentor for him and after all of this Scaramuccia is faced with the imposture of the CENTURIES. It's not even the anger. It's the greatest offence, hurt, pain, I don't know what tight word should I find to express it, but I guess you got it. And it's just...yes, it couldn't be expressed in words. It's awful but for cynically thinking quintessence of the scholar it's just nothing but a part of experiment.
P.S. Speaking about MHY blaming the Doctor as the root of all evil in Teyvat, here in Sneshnaya we have a joke: do you know the Dead Sea? - Dottore killed it.
