I'm from Scotland, more specifically, edinburgh, on the coastline (not all of the city is right by the sea obviously but I live right by a harbour so I'm literally next to the sea) which means we not only get the general chappy weather Scotland is prone to, but being by the sea we get even worse weather coming from the North Sea. a lot more wind and rain and a lot colder, even just going into the city centre it's quite often slightly warmer than it Is in the areas right by the sea.
I hate being too hot but I'd much prefer to live somewhere hot than somewhere cold.
for a start I could get a nice tan instead of being pasty pale, but more importantly, when at home in extreme weather its far more expensive to heat a home than it is to cool yourself down.
if you want to cool down with fans or A/C & don't mind it adding to your hills then that's great, but if you can't afford that or simply don't want to waste money, you can put loads of ice in your drinks and use those ice pack things used in picnic bags go keep food cool etc to keep yourself cool, I lie down with one on my stomach (wrapped in a towel or something since having ice directly next to your internal organs wouldn't be very sensible) and after a while my entire body goes from sweltering hot to being slightly cold, then I remove the ice pack and I'm a comfortable temperature :)
you can also have a cold water bath or even just wet your clothes with cold water which will suck the heat from your body.
so many ways to cool down but heating up you pretty much need to heat your home, putting on extra layers isn't always hugely effective if the air around you is freezing cold and everything you touch like door handles etc feels like touching ice.
plus the issue with pipes freezing is a major problem too.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere ridiculously hot if I didn't have to, like Id happily ljve in Spain, I doubt I'd be happy living in the Sahara desert lol but between that or ridiculously cold, I'd pick hot.

For the person reading this message, know that God loves you a lot and he wants you to be saved and happy, nothing in this world like money, fun or popularity can fill the emptiness in your heart, but only his son Jesus who died for you can fill you who might not know about him, he knows you more than yourself, you who turned your back to him, he is still waiting for you with his arms open to receive you again, you who fought against him and had done things that are unforgivable in your eyes, he will always see you as his son and he already paid the price for all your sins, even if the world doesn’t forgive you, all that you need is God and everything will be alright, so trust God and only God, no one else, repent from your sins and never go back to them, and the most important thing is that you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior with your voice and your heart, when you do all these things, pray to God and read the Bible(Christian Bible not a Catholic since the Catholic one might’ve changed the word of God to something that it is not God’s word but men’s, so read a christian Bible) so that you get to know God, and when you pray ask God to guide you so that you always walk in his righteousness and so that he gives you strength so you don’t fall to sin, and don’t just say I am a Christian and never read your bible or end up not praying, build a relationship with God, read the Bible, fast and pray and be his son not only in words but also in your actions, please listen to this message, today God has showed you grace, to you who might be depressed, empty, are being hated or hates, or maybe you don’t receive genuine love, even you who enjoys or is comfortable with his current life, whoever you who is reading this is, know that God is calling you to give you a future and a hope, in this life and in the eternal life, trust him because he loves you so much that you can’t even understand it, and the time is short, after this message you might day or Jesus might return, so be ready and follow him, for today he stretched his hand to you because he loves you and cares for you, and he doesn’t want you to go to hell, so please go to him, I promise you that it will be the best decision you will do in your entire existence and that God will free you from anything that hurts you, take the love and hope the Lord is giving you and be free, for the best future for your life is in his hands, please make the right choice, for today God has stretched his hand to you who he loves so much that he even died for knowing all the bad things you have done, that is how much love he has and will always have for you❤️
Please if you have any way to contact the people on this video please send them this message, it might not seem like it but some people really need hope and God can change or save someone’s life and give hope to the hopeless by you just sending them this message, thank you for reading, God Bless you always.

Wow, what an incredibly immersive and eye-opening look into the harsh realities of life in one of the coldest inhabited places on Earth! This documentary about Yakutia, Siberia truly pushed the limits of what I thought was possible for human endurance.
The visuals were simply breathtaking - from the vast expanses of pristine snow and ice to the incredible housing and transportation adaptations needed to survive those extreme subzero temperatures. Seeing simple tasks like starting a vehicle or walking outside become heroic feats at -71°C (-95°F) was mind-boggling.
But beyond the environmental challenges, I was most struck by the resilient human spirit and rich cultural traditions that allow the Yakut people to keep their ancient ways of life intact in such an unforgiving climate. The incredibly detailed preparations for winter, from harvesting food stores to repairing housing insulation, were humbling to witness.
The scenes providing glimpses into typical winter days - like the children happily playing outdoors while elders did backbreaking wood-chopping work - highlighted the day-to-day hardships but also the strong sense of community. The interviews added such valuable first-hand perspective into the mental toughness required.
What a privilege to be virtually transported to this rarely-seen corner of the world. While the freezing conditions seem unfathomable to me, the documentary really drove home the holistic ways the Yakut people have adapted in full harmony with their unforgiving environment over centuries. An unforgettable look at embracing life in the extremes!

@@rekamud6635 Not really. It's 50% Yakuts (people native to the region), 38% Russians, and then it goes from Ukranian to Kyrgyz, etc. Americans live this way too you know. Living in Alaska is no cakewalk, and watch any doc about people living in Alaska, you'd say much of the same. They're too busy actively surviving to bicker much about other things. If you go further west into Russia you get all the social barriers, the materialism, very very very much.

Якутия многогранна. Чем она дышит в современном мире глобального развития? Театр и кино, классическая музыка, индустрия моды, эстрада, научно - техническая сфера и т.д. Ведь люди здесь живут полной жизнью, а не выживают.

These kids will grow up to be hard working, confident, decent humans instead of the spoiled, lazy children we have in America today.
