Also with hi hat thing, if you was to do 4 in a row like what Ellis said, you would write it like " T T T T" but what d low is doing is " tiffa tiffa tiffa tiffa" To give that extra texture and also it's actually easier to do the "tiffa" than it is to spam 4 "Ts" in a row... Think of it like saying the word "boo" and "booka" booka has more syllables but if you repeat it over and over again you can actually say " booka booka booka" faster than you can say "boo boo boo" I hope this makes sense.
He's doing it without breathing tho. And it's really tough to do the hihats he's doing while also doing inward and outward vocals along with doing a dlow scratch + a throat kick. It's a lot of layers and the consistency is golden.
