My father said a funny story about one of he’s coworkers that had been working in SA as a contractor building some power infrastructure to a large power station. So they were laying new cables ( large ones) and at the start at the build the workers worked hard and fast. But only after a week or so he notice how most of the workers seemed slow and tired, and this only got worse as the project progressed . So this continued to the work was done. Now when they tested the new cables they saw none of them worked. Confused the management told the workers to dig up the last connection to see what was going on, well there was no cables. So for months the workers did the job connecting cables and digging them a few meters down. At night they would come back dig it up, steal the copper and re do the work so it looked just as the left it at the end of the day. Basically all the workers had been working double shifts for months with barely any sleep lol.

If a black kid gets raised by emotionally stable individuals, then obviously they'll come out to be a productive member of society. Same with white, hispanic, etc. Your take is just sugar-coated racism mixed with trumpy ignorance. I flew out of JoBurg and there were signs everywhere to wrap your luggage in plastic to prevent theft. Someone broke into my bag anyway and didn't find any valuables, and put some of my things, including prescription meds, into someone else's bag (who contacted me). I contacted the airport to file an incident report, which they opened and promptly closed after advising me "that's just the way it is here". Copper thieves were stripping them from the base along freeways so they could hide in the dark especially on freeways with a lot of low growing bushes and vegetation on the side of the road so they could hide. One day, you can also come to indonesia, there are some interesting phenomenas:
    1. Almost one million mosques use loudspeakers aimed outwards. At least 5 times a day there will be loud noises from all the mosques which can disturb sick people and the elderly. If you ask to lower the voice, you can be attacked.
    2. During Ramadan month, don’t take a risk eating in the front of fasting muslims. All restaurants should cover the windows.
    3. Female students of state schools especially in small cities must wear hijab.
    4. Public secret to bribe police officers/ staffs to get driver license.
    5. Police officers hide at somewhere to trap car/ motorcycle drivers who violate the road signs. Then ask money.
    6. beggars mafias who exploit children
    7. illegal parking network controlled by several big mafias.
    8. Thugs who forcefully demand money from truck drivers along roads throughout Indonesia

Which isn't just a way to shut you down - depending on which polls you choose to believe, you could argue that a majority of the population think life was better back then (not that it necessarily means they'd prefer/want to go back to that form of governance) - I just think you should be honest instead of cryptic if that's your argument.
