    The equation for compound interest at around 6:00 would've been: New mean crime expenditure= Original * 1.06^4
    Problem is there's no power button on the calculator so only way would be to multiply 1.4 by 1.06 four times I think.

  • @benshaw5382
    @benshaw5382 3 года назад +4

    For anyone wondering about the formula for the question at 5:06, a quick way to fo it is multiplying 1.4 by 1.06 four times (a.k.a. 1.4 x 1.06^4)
    Idk if its the formula Nasir mentioned but it works, as multiplying a number by 1.06 gives a six percent increase - doing that four times gives a 6 percent increase four times. Done. Hopefully that helps some of yall. :)

    for 20:02 if you divided the total number of people by 11 then you would have also gotten the number of free tickets. (5.65 ---> 5 free tickets)

    at 5:45 you would've made 4 calculations without getting the 0.06 of each number then add it. Simply multiply by 1.06 each time its faster

    • @ddoes2934
      @ddoes2934 4 года назад +1

      My response is a bit late, but for future ucat takers, the question stated the tertiary sector has 80 million people, and if we scroll up to the pie chart, we see that 53% of the sector belongs to the tertiary sector, therefore 53% = 80 million, and we want to find 100%, which would be total employment in brazil. We can do this by finding 1%, then multiplying by 100 to find 100%. Hope this helps.

    Should i write both ucat and bmat

    • @syed5126

      Its up to you. Only a few Unis accept the bmat such as Leeds,UCL etc so if you want to go into one of these unis then take the BMAT also. However majority of the med schools in the UK use the UCAT so if you take the UCAT only you will have a better chance of getting accepted into a uni as there will be more unis to apply to. Taking both may not be a good idea as you will have more pressure on yourself to do good in both. I suggest you do the UCAT only. I am currently on a gap year and last year i did the BMAT which i scored really low in. This year i am gonna do the UCAT only. Personally i am finding the UCAT much much easier than the BMAT and i feel confident that i will get a good score.
