Hi. A good video. I am English and have a CELTA and have taught in Spain, UK and Switzerland. The last ten years I have been in another profession but due to the lock-down I am considering going back to teaching EFL which will now be on line. What has always amazed me is that many foreign EFL teachers know the language much better than UK citizens.
Thank you so much for doing this. I am a new ESL tutor getting ready to tutor my 1st few students via Zoom, and a bit nervous about it, but your tips were most helpful!
Thanks so much Hadar, you are amazing so generous of you. Probably schools will close on Monday here in Sweden and then I will start teaching Spanish and English online. Forever grateful your student/ Rosalba
Thank u so much for always thinking of others. I have followed you for almost 3 years. I am a pronunciation teacher as well as an English. Always useful and awesome tips. Thanks Hadar. Be safevand take care
hello Hadar! I'm here after 2months you went online and I am wondering when do you go online again? I really looking forward to it. it is always a joy to watching your videos.
I was offered the opportunity to teach a group of several children (on separate screens) using zoom but I could not see any way to make teaching on zoom to be remotely as interactive as teaching in person to a class...and this video just reinforced that teaching by zoom can't be any kind of substitute
Thank you! I really see that you love to talk and teach in English. And you are happy with that. So because of that, it is nice to see you as a person with a lot of energy.
Engaging? Sorry to be the devil's advocate or criticize, but I see about 80% TTT, and about 20% STT. I'm about to take a teacher's licensing program, but this is something very important in even TEFL courses.
Hai this the first time I'm watching your video. I'm a teacher india. I 60 in class online. Can you please suggest some activities to engage all the kids thank you.
Which is a correct sentence? I take classes on the zoom... I take classes in the zoom.. I take classes at the zoom... Out of 3 sentence which is correct
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with me, and there is still something I need to ask you: Is it possible to have students do pair work to save time in speaking classes?
Hi! Is there a way to not use bilingual dictionaries when I try to recall a word when I write or think in English? For the physical objects of the world (such as a rafter, a scraper, a condenser, etc.) I can use visual dictionaries. But what about abstract ideas (such as 'ambiguous', 'malice', 'deduce', etc.)?
Hi Hadar. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the live stream. I am an English teacher and have only recently started teaching online. I have so many questions. For example, how long do you recommend online classes to last? Is one hour okay? Or is it too short? Also, sometimes you will need to write things down for the students, and an online class might not allow you to do so, at least as effectively (I noticed you forgot to share the whiteboard feature on the app). Anyway, I would love to get your thoughts on these questions. And thank you for your videos.❤
I think one hour is more than enough. If it’s 1:1. For a group I’d say 1:15-1:30 If you need to write things down use the chat box , or the whiteboard - it’s very intuitive. Here’s what I recommend , download zoom and start a meeting, test all the features so you gain confidence and then you can even try it with a friend and ask them what they see and how it feels on their end. Then do it in a class. Good luck! I’m here if you have more questions
I am a teacher of 17 students. I don't know how to make them practice the pronunciation of new words because if they repeat at the same time I might not listen to all of them. Any advice?

Another great feature is the breakdown rooms: you can give a task and they complete it in the room.
