I played the english dub and like it a lot so for science I swap to JP and I think I cry the 1st time I heard her speak at the start. JP Sphene does indeed sounds very innocent and you can hear the cry for desperation. I may consider replaying DT in JP next time around on my alt.
"Have you heard? King Husky is here!" One of the best tracks of the expansion. The music of FFXIV will never be divisive, only unifying. Well, maybe except Smile, that one is divisive as heck 🤣
I like exactly half of Smile. Choirs are real great. I really think we're gonna get detail coming out that the music and localisation team were rushed. Seeing as how much reused music there is and how many bad takes, even from the old scions, there were. Its a crime because Soken kills it so much and Wuk Lamat actually has some *great* line delivery, but all anybody talks about is Smile and the one bad take during the final boss.

Are we talking about an overall lack of new tracks for this expansion? That would be factually untrue. Are we referring to how many times we hear the same tracks from this expansion being used for cutscenes? If it's the latter, are we choosing to ignore how Shadowbringers, for example, has done the exact same thing and many declare that the best expansion of all? What is this collective delusion the community has created for itself?

I just did the dungeon and trial as a healer for first time to help a friend finish the story- and I have had to hold back my tears during the run. Now it's pouring out because I'm listening to this before bed.
Alexandria might be my favorite dungeon in all of FF14. It's one of the few dungeons that tells a story and expands upon the narrative without just being a cutscene. The music is obviously incredible and this remix is gorgeous - Husky really killing it with the DT tunes. While sticking with similar musical leitmotifs, I'm super looking forward to a Husky Interphos remix (fingers crossed)!
@@SuperRamos619 Yup, I love those dungeons too, but Alexandria has been the most successful at doing it for me. They try to do it with the regular dungeons too but aren't always successful. Alexandria dungeon does a way better job telling the story of the last several zones than several hours of non-interactive cutscenes and exposition in the MSQ did.
@rhombusx I think the cool thing about Amexandria, is that while all 3 are showing us events of the past, we are actively witnessing the erasure of that history in Alexandria because she is deleting the memories. That's just a cool theme.

From gear, dungeons, area's, npc's even the part where they have zoraal ja being passive towards us up until the 2nd half. Like emet-selch. Only realy becoming hostile at the end and then making us feel bad for him when we beat him. Tho that didnt work so well for zoraal ja. Cause he was an idiot with a pointless endgoal that wouldn't have worked regardless
