I saw this at AB and thought this amv was so beautiful! I was a little sad it didnt win anything especially because i wanted more people to be able to see it during the winner announcements and such

Tbh, I saw the AMV that won the Drama category at Anime Boston and I kind of also probably would have voted for it ha ha.
Still, I'm glad there were people at Anime Boston who enjoyed it!

@@pyrothemusicalI loved it at Anime Boston, too, but honestly the Drama category this year was STACKED. After watching all of them, I honestly felt that it was a toss-up between 4 of the 5 options and it could go in any of their favor. Even being on that stage was a massive achievement.
Here’s my little rule of thumb for a truly excellent AMV: If you can walk away with the feeling that the music was written for the video, rather than the video being made afterwards, you’ve just watched a truly top-tier AMV. Obviously, intellectually you *know* that’s not the case, but that’s how it *feels,* because the match-up is so perfect.
That was so good! The music is utter perfection, fantastic work!

thats it am calling it its one of the masterpieces and for me i don't throw that word around lightly i watch many amvs but there are few that i just am in awe of that perfectly match scene and beat to perfection. there are many low quality amvs made by either those beginners dipping their toes in or simple trash that just want quick views uploading a popular song and slapping popular anime scenes to it. then you got the mid quality amvs. they do a good job at matching beat to scene and are usually made with love. then you got the great amvs that obviously high quality but not the best they can be and then you got the few at the peak the masterpieces. believe me its a drag sifting through all the low tier stuff to find the mid, the great, and the masterpieces.
also side note i knew this was linsey sterling because she has very particular playstyle of violin with her original songs.
edit: came back and find myself proven right in that it is a masterpiece. Finalist in Anime Boston 2024 and winner in Tora-con 2024
