- One of St. Louis’ biggest fires broke out in 1962 in subzero temperatures. Former St. Louis Fire Chief Tom Long talks fighting the fire and the bitter cold at the Ralston Purina Checkerboard Square headquarters just south of downtown.
We are very fortunate to hear stories from men of his generation.
