    Brilliant. Can’t imagine a virtual teacher is better than a real school teacher.

    HAPPY TEACHERS DAY! Prof. Von Schmohawk... U r my fav. alegbra teacher, hope I'll be able to conquer the field of COMPUTER SCIENCE with it. Prof. Von Schmohawk's teachings are truely blissful to the students. In Hinduism to the greatest teacher of all times, it goes like this 'GURU BRAHMA GURU VISHNU GURU DEVO MAHESHWARHA GURU SAKSHAT PARABRAHMA TASMAI SRI GURAVE NAMAH '. Meaning:- Guru Brahma - Guru is The Supreme Teacher, who is the Lord of Creation, also called as Generator, Guru Vishnu means Teacher is Vishnu (Vishnu is the Lord who is called organizer), Guru Devo Maheshwarah means Teacher is the Maheshwara (Shiva or the destroyer), Guru Sakshat Parabrahma means Parbrahma viz. the supreme god or almighty.

    This is one of those over the top coincidences. I was just re-learning this (after 20 years) a few hours ago! What a real happy coincidence!

    Math is such a delicate subject that it's criminal when we allow utter nincompoops to teach it in lousy schools where most teachers take a haphazard mindless mechanical approach to teaching such intricate but simple concepts making students fall out of love with math. RUclips and such channels have done way more for civilisation than any other public good imo. thank you prof for this scintillating course.

    What is the true determinant? (I heard that the true discriminant isn’t just b^2-4ac in abstract algebra)

    Let me try a quadratic equation by only using these steps in 1:25.
    I'll use 5x² + 6x + 2 as an example.
    (5/5)x² + (6/5)x + (2/5) = (0/5)
    x² + (6/5)x + (2/5) = 0
    x² + ((6/5))x + ((2/5)) = 0
    x-coefficient: (((6/5))×(1/2))² = ((6/10))² = ((3/5))²
    x² + ((6/5))x + ((2/5)) - ((2/5)) = 0 - ((2/5))
    x² + ((6/5)) = -(2/5) x² + ((6/5))x + ((3/5))² = ((3/5))² - (2/5)
    (x + (3/5))² = ((3/5))² - (2/5)
    (x + (3/5))² = (9/25) - (2/5)
    (x + (3/5))² = (9/25) - (10/25)
    (x + (3/5))² = ((-1/25))
    √(x + (3/5))² = √((-1/25))
    |x + (3/5)| = √((-1/25))
    x + (3/5) = ±√((-1/25))
    x + (3/5) = ±(√-1)/(√25)
    x + (3/5) = ±(i/5)
    x = -(3/5) ± (i/5)
    x = (-3±i/5)
    That's my final answer, am I correct? Let me know if I'm wrong!

    If its on the x axis its a real solution.

      Mathematics can be applied to language structure as well. If, as you said, "No one does not know"...represents that everyone knows. Negative times a negative, is a positive.
      Just sayin.
