This was great. Two different perspectives for sure. I’m not a theory guy, but I’ve listened to a lot, I mean a lot of music which has given me a lot of understanding of how music is composed and the myriad of improvisational styles. How you hear it effects what you play. Having the vocabulary is key but i find it overemphasized over hearing and feeling from an improvisational standpoint. Everyone has their own journey and has to have a fundamental core but beyond that need to build musicality. I hear a lot of well trained/versed guitar players out there but not very musical.
I know chord functions, but my actual articulation skills and creativity are seriously lacking. Wondering if this course goes over rhythm/scale sequence ideas or if this only goes through chord function.
Hey dude! the course is very very comprehensive and covers a lot of subjects like rhythm and scale sequences and many others. for context the Chord function part of the course is only a small portion! there something like 4-5h of content in there haha
@@JosephAnidjar awesome man, thanks for the response. I’m interested, so I will check it out. I actually talked to you on a zoom call a couple years back about possibly getting signed up for lessons and just wasn’t in the place. Excited for this course!
