My mom introduced me to Michael Bolton a while ago and I love him!!! I'm 17 and so proud to say I listen to great singers. If only songs today were as good as they were before. You adults in your 40s and so on are so lucky to have lived in this time period longer and I'm thankful I got a taste of this era through '90s Nick, NSYNC*, Michael Jackson, and so on.

A lot came out during the spring as well. 1991 as a whole was a great year in music.

So. In the early nineties I had four children an two divorces. I was driving around one day thinking about driving my car into the Mississippi. This song came on and healed me. I held on and recovered and raised my four children. They are wonderful humans. I owe my life and my childrens to Micheal and this song. I love him!

I started listening in the early 80's, I was born in 1961, so I'm almost 40 years into Michael's music, would love another 40 more.
I had the fortune of seeing Michael Bolton live in Toronto in '92. Now as an adult, music like this is where I pull samples for producing dance music. Music always comes around full circle.
Every time I hear this track I closely listen to the synth elements throughout. Even though those synth elements are kind of deep in the background, they surround Michael Bolton's vocals like a circle of friends holding hands.

Imagine if the power houses of the 90's made a come back, and showed all the "stars" of today and showed them how it's done.
That would be truly badass.
I was thinking the other day how great that would be. Also...with record sales median 50k first week for a "SUCCESSFUL " release instead of 500,000 or 5,000,000 the proper revenue structure no.longer exists spare a few anomaly ARTISTS. Touring money is money but imagine a band like a Led Zepplin or take your pick starting at denut album and being able to supposed and grow thier career into master songwriters over 10, 20 years. Now Bolton I bet could still create a buzz some videos and then drop a new album. It would prob be right up there in the top ten. As shitty as it's gotten those bands who kinda defy whatever should happen to them still exist ...as ultimately the "gos" or larger than life celebrity power of these people comes back to orbit a little bit.

A lot of years ago, my mother did not understand my love for Michael-she got to go to a concert and ever since that day, she understood. Before she died, she made me a cd of all her favorite songs and Michael was on there several times. Now years later, as my daughter is leaving with her husband this morning to move to the other side of the country for the Marines, this will be my song for my daughter while she is gone...we've never been apart and I need Michael to help get me through this time again.
I am so glad I was part of a generation that got to experience the greatness of this man. People teased me for liking this kind of music when everyone else was listening to Alanis and green day I listened to adult contemporary like Michael, Jon Secada, Celine Dion, Vanessa Williams, Amy Grant, and the like. Back when 90% of people were happy listening to top 40 because it was decent music. Proud to be a child/teen of the 90s.
