Logitech G935 - AMAZING Wireless Audio But Old Design
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 17 фев 2019
- The Logitech G935 wireless gaming headset is the successor to their G933 Artemis Spectrum. But does an old design hamper the performance of what could be the best 7.1 surround wireless gaming headset around?

That thumbnail is a work of *ART* man. Keep up the great work.
Now, i connot unsee the left ear. Its the only thing i can focus on.
😂 focus on other things people 👂
HardwareCanucks its not possible to focus on other things now that i know your left ear is bigger. You should not have said that!😂
Left ear is seriously bigger than right ear (from his POV)
That thumbnail, man!
Thanks thanks 😀
HardwareCanucks this review compared to randomfrankp tho
Yeah, I really liked the colors.
@@straightintoawesomeness7287 what u mean
@@mr.review7149 randomfrankp gave the worst review I have ever seen. It was not as much of a review, as a giant dump on the headphones, with barely any evidence to back it up, and just bias. Do not watch it.
amazing video as always, really great quality. I've had my 933's since they came out and I'm planning to upgrade for those drivers. In my personal experience the mic on my 933's and my friend's over skype and discord has never sounded bad and nothing like the recording in the video but that's probably just due to compression in discord/youtube.
I remember I watched your video before I wanted to buy them.
So I bought this headset... and I can tell you they are absolutely worth it.
Sound is cristal clear, I can hear all the footsteps, the mic is very good as well, it's very very clear and quick as well. And I play on PS4, using the bluetooth. The mute action while lifting the mic upwards and downwards is the best thing to have on a headset instead of a button, absolutely. RGB lights are cool, i keep them off to save battery, but sometimes i like them on. Battery lasts, but you have a 3m cable to charge your headsets, and you can plug and play.
Also you have a app to setup your own sound, which is awesome as well.
I would say a 10/10 ! 🤩
Great review! I am glad to see Logitech improving its wireless headphones. You should do a review on the 2019 SteelSeries Arctis 7 to see how they compare.

I really always love the editing on these videos. It's so professional and clean. When I watched this channel a year or two ago, I thought this was the work of a channel with at least a few million subscribers and was surprised to see the contrary. Great work and keep it up. I always enjoy seeing these videos
Is it just me or does the G933 microphone sounds more warm and (for me) better? The G935 is clearer, still nasal, but lost some warmth.
Agreed
It's a matter of preference. The mic on the 933 has way less treble, but also cut out almost all of the bass range. What you are left with is midrange and the remains of the bass that's been inflated. It sounds warmer, yes, but it also lack almost all treble. The 935 on the other hand retains more of the treble and while it has bad bass response it doesn't inflate what bass there is. The result sounds nasal but retains much more detail than what the 933 did.
So none of them sounds great. Either you get a "warmer" sound or a more detailed but slightly annoying sound. Both work for VOIP, but neither is anywhere near optimal.
Something I find interesting is that if you check a number of online reviews the microphones often sound sound very different, and that's even though they often claim they recorded the microphones raw and didn't use any filters after. And like someone posted in another thread they seem to sound much better when used with Discord or some other VOIP software. At least that's my experience. I'm not sure exactly why that is, but I'm guessing there might be some filtering done in the software and that when you are busy gaming you really don't think much about the voice quality as long as you can hear what they are saying.
@@blahorgaslisk7763 Thank you for the elaboration. Yes, often in reviews the microphone of the very same gaming headset sound different in each of them.
In the end, when you can hear what the others say and can recognize and distinguish the voices of your friends through (the quality of) the microphones during the heat of the game, it is all that matters.
Thought the same :)
its better than the MIC on *my* g933 that randomly stopped working xD
1:47 I was expecting it to break
Maaan I just loved your review, thanks a lot this will for sure help me out choosing my headsets.
Love it! Thanks! I'm glad you take a mic audio sample, for some reason a lot of other reviewers don't do that. Did I miss a review of the Alienware AW988's? How do you feel these compare against the old Logitech G35's, from a mic perspective?
I tried the G933 a couple years back and I just couldn't look past how freely the ear cups swiveled. They made it a chore just to put on and take off without having them flop over in my hand. The RGB is also a huge turn off. You'd think 3 years later they would have learned that people don't like RBG on headsets... it's pointless.
Its been 2 years already, still the best purchase decision I ever made , thank you Hardware Canucks :)
yeah except they are far from competetive, however the hs80's are another question

5:57 the view outside the window is beautiful
Dang, I would definetly not upgrade personally, I am using 3 different audio sources with the G933 (usually I only split Game audio and TeamSpeak audio). Although you can have 2 different sources now, its less clean and not wireless anymore if the 3,5mm jack is plugged in....
Also somehow my G933 mic seems to sound way less compressed than your 935 (and 933)
From the flex test early in the video, it still seems to creak like an old house. Battery life was lacklustre. I switched to hyperx cloud flight and couldn’t be happier.
That removal of the 3.5MM jack on the dongle is a big bummer such an underrated feature I use it on my G933 for my bed room TV to listen while my wife sleeps. It opened the door for use outside of a PC
What’s amazing about these headphones is that you can enable studio quality sample rate! For the audio in windows and it still uses DTS X 2.0!!!!!! And it’s amazing!!!!!! Truly crystal clear!
Kuya Arbee could you explain a little bit more what that means? I wanted to pick up these headphones today and was weighing the pros and cons vs the hyper x flight
You've caught a case of the "construction only when recording" syndrome that MKBHD has lol
Dude ur videos are sooooooo good. editing skills are off the charts..
I just bought these based on this review and another review on a competing channel. I wanted something that sounded good with games and music and these seem to fit the bill. Also I am a pretty tall person and have the ears to match, so having a set of headphones with ear cuffs that actually cover the ear will be much more comfortable. So many brands say over the ear, but one would have to have a 2 in long ear for that to be true.
I got a set on sale as an open box item for 99 bucks. Still carrying the full manufacturers warranty.

My left ear is also larger and touches the drivers on some headsets. Only reason I had to return my hyperx cloud alphas. Good to know you have a similar issue, will definitely pay attention to your reviews on comfort in the future.
Thank you for this review. I've been having trouble deciding on a headset for a while now. Some peoples reviews seem especially harsh for this one but I think for what I would use it for it will be a good product so ive decided to get a pair.
How'd they work out for ya?
I'm a fan of Logitech and had the G933 for over a year but I simply had to replace it due to the creaking noises of the plastic. It became absolutely unbearable. The creaking noises would transfer through the mic and irritate anyone on the other end. Until they come out with a different design, I'm sticking with my Sennheiser PC37X.
I had issues with people being able to hear my game through the mic, also the padding of most gaming headsets makes an unpleasant sound when it makes contact with my glasses :/
Ended up with a Bose QC35 + ModMic wireless setup, very happy
can you tell us more about the Sennheiser PC37X ? I'm thinking about getting one
I love how everyone is talking about the thumbnail 😂

I had the G933 and 5 min ago I received and connected the G935 and it sounds absolutely CRAZY!! The sound is amazing!! I never heard such a good sound from a gaming headset, I also got the Bose QC35II and in some cases the Logitech sounds even better than the Bose! the bass is deep and powerful. Go ahead and buy those if you have the money!!
Bose is well good but too overhyped
Dude, my first time to your channel, and I'm an instant fan! Subbed!
Oh man, those earcups look great. Wonder if they have them on sale as parts to get a pair for my g633s.
Did Logitech fix a known issue from the G933 where the power switch will wobble and cause the left ear cup to sound fuzzy, muffled and sometimes not turn on.
my switch is not working properly got to push and back and forth till it hits the sweet spot.
i have it too
So you didn't tell us its it's worth upgrading from the G933!!!
is it?
Your production values are amazing !
Bought these and they are amazing!! The lights work perfectly. Saying the lights does not make sense is like saying the whole design does not make sense just because you can't see them. Well... unless you are going to bed with them you are going to see them and THAT FEELS awesome! The sound is incredible. The feel is very porche and I did not get any of the "quality issues" he is referring to.

I loved my 933’s for around a year until the wiring started shorting out and only one side of the headset put out sound.
Gaming headsets are crap. They always end up breaking no matter how much I baby them. I’ve tried several brands from Sony to HyperX and they’ve all been expensive crap.
I've actually had my Logitech G230's for like 4 years now and they've been slammed on my desk and thrown and they're still doing great. I'm just now looking to upgrade my headset because well, it's been 4 years and i'm sure i can get better audio in a headset now.
Crazy, I think the mesh one is way better. Probably since I live in a area in Brazil which is super hot. Leather pads are a no-go during summer too.
JUST GOT THESE THERE FRIGGIN INSANE LOVE EM
The real questions is: DOES IT STILL BEEP? (And why doesn't it support bluetooth... I use my G933 everywhere but can't properly with tablets or phones since I want that wireless approach.)
U got aux with
its wireless. not bluetooth. Just a heads up.
@@PawclawPlays Yeah, like the previous model which I have. But with specifically adding (not replacing the current 2,4 GHz) Bluetooth it could do so much more and so much better. :(
Because Bluetooth has audio delay!!!!!! It’s not easy to sync Bluetooth with fast video!
@@KuyaArbee I'm well aware. I wouldn't play video games with Blueetooth anyway, but listening to music on the go is bulky.
the 933 mic sounds miles better. almost as good as your main voice-over.
I thought i was the only one that noticed this! WTF the G933 mic sounds WAY better than the new G935! atleast in this video
No because the 933 catches more background noise and the sound is less clear and the reason why this might sound closer to his main voiceover is because it’s not as compressed as the 935 but still the 935 is way more clear than the 933
its the compression, i too prefer the less compressed wider sound. even it means picking up more ambience noise, but with discord noise cancelling or rtx voice it way better than G935 compressed sound
Why am i watching headser videos, when I'm kicking ass with my HD58x and Modmic5!
Thank you Dimitry, your videos helped me to make my desicion.
I've owned and used the G933 daily for over a year and after a few months of use the power button messed up the whole sound of the headset. Every time i power the headset up the sound only comes from one of the channels, usually right channel. Then I have to wiggle the powerbutton to a specific position to get the sound balanced to the same level between the left and the right channel. I do this adjustment every day, when I power on my headset. Next time definetly going to try a different brand...
Honestly surprised that you prefer the leather over the bathing suit material. I kind of enjoyed the chafing caused by my G933s. It always brought back fond memories of the times I was uncomfortable at the beach.
I completely agree! Leather is too hot in summer and always gets broken after some time because of sweating. So at the end you always have to change the earcups. Definitely is G933 still the best option.

I bought the g933 a year ago, and they have some bad things, like the plastic build it sometimes sounds when I am just talking and it's annoying to hear that plastic sound. Moreover, the volume scroll wheel stopped working a while ago, the volume goes up and down randomly when I use it. Although, I really like the headset. Very good sound it sounds very good in games, I have another expensive headsets for listening to music and they don't sound that well in games, the g933 just sound perfect. To listen to music they are fine, good bass and average highs and mids, satisfying enough. Also, the battery is pretty good, I can get more than 7 hours of battery with the leds turned off, and after 2 years with the battery deterioration it's pretty good.
Would I buy these headsets in 2019? That depends. There's better headsets around there for sure, but if you just want the best audio quality, this would be fine.

For some reason all those mics sound worse in the reviews then they do in TS. At least in my experience.
Because everyone has crappy mic in TS and in reviews there is a huge contrast when switching from a good mic.
@@Alex11223l2 of course there's a difference to a studio, but it still sounds better than in the reviews with the same headset used. And the ones who do use high quality mics don't sound THAT much better.

Why they are still using micro USB??
It's 2019 and everyone is shifting to Type C (Even Apple did it)....
It's not that bad for charging but using Type C in every gadget will be convenient.....😐

Hey - lets get a new car - drive it into a lamp post and give it bad review because now its bent but not supposed to.... :) They are big and bulky because deep bass needs room to develop/sound better - and g935 produce amazing thumping and punchy deep bass - its like you have your head constantly placed inside a cinema room!

@@ChineseWinnie Nopes. All headsets will break or bend if you twist them hard enough. To test for durability you have to test it functionally.

I have a G933 and the G935 is a disappointment to me. I mean first of all the receiver doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack so you cant have as much wireless compatibility. Second the mic sounds worse than the G933 which doesn’t affect me cuz I use a studio mic but its still a downgrade. And finally the most important part is that it doesn’t have DOLBY surround like the G933 and thats a very big deal. I have used the DTS and DOLBY mode on my G933 and the DTS sounds absolutely terrible compared to DOLBY. I dont know why they would remove the good audio and keep the bad one but I wouldn’t upgrade to the G935, instead get the G933 if you are interested and I definitely do recommend the G933
I completely agree about the Dolby vs DTS. I have G933 and DTS is unusable for gaming... I like it for music but g935 is a fail if it doesn't have Dolby
Seeing as they removed the audio jack from the receiver as well, the G935 is a G933 without all the features
I just got the logitech g933 a few hrs ago so I guess ur should I return to upgrade to the 935?
I mean ur just paying for a better battery life. Am I right?
Rin Rin not really. The batter has like a 30 minute improvement. Id rather have 30 mins of less battery and have good audio than have a 30 minute bigger battery and crap audio.
Does it still support mixing audio from 3 different sources? With the 933 you can be attached to 3 different devices (wireless, 3.5mm, and micro-USB) and it mixes the audio from all 3. I'll use that with my phone sometimes so I can still hear when notifications/calls come in while I'm gaming with the headset on the PC.
sound quality is great. I hate the plastic cover on right year makes some noises when I move.
who else is ironically watching this with hyper x's on
Would strongly recommend against this headset. The build quality is cheap crappy plastic! It has annoying cracking sound.
But the most important thing, my G933 was plagued with issues like "mic would not un-mute". The ridiculous suggestion to upgrade the FW when it's already on the latest version every now and then. For the great "happy ending", at some point after a bit over a year of use the left driver, occasionally started to disconnect and finally, after about 18 month, the mic just died. The thing that died was that swiveling muting connection. the mic became permanently muted.
Even though I got them on sale around 100$, it was absolutely unworth!
I actually had the same issue. I fixed it by something as silly as uninstalling Skype and uncheck the background noice box in the logitech software.
@@daddygibbs1728 my issues were crappy build (absence of) quality. I tried with other computers as well just to be sure.
