@@mr.review7149 randomfrankp gave the worst review I have ever seen. It was not as much of a review, as a giant dump on the headphones, with barely any evidence to back it up, and just bias. Do not watch it.
It's a matter of preference. The mic on the 933 has way less treble, but also cut out almost all of the bass range. What you are left with is midrange and the remains of the bass that's been inflated. It sounds warmer, yes, but it also lack almost all treble. The 935 on the other hand retains more of the treble and while it has bad bass response it doesn't inflate what bass there is. The result sounds nasal but retains much more detail than what the 933 did. So none of them sounds great. Either you get a "warmer" sound or a more detailed but slightly annoying sound. Both work for VOIP, but neither is anywhere near optimal. Something I find interesting is that if you check a number of online reviews the microphones often sound sound very different, and that's even though they often claim they recorded the microphones raw and didn't use any filters after. And like someone posted in another thread they seem to sound much better when used with Discord or some other VOIP software. At least that's my experience. I'm not sure exactly why that is, but I'm guessing there might be some filtering done in the software and that when you are busy gaming you really don't think much about the voice quality as long as you can hear what they are saying.
@@blahorgaslisk7763 Thank you for the elaboration. Yes, often in reviews the microphone of the very same gaming headset sound different in each of them. In the end, when you can hear what the others say and can recognize and distinguish the voices of your friends through (the quality of) the microphones during the heat of the game, it is all that matters.

RGB lights are cool, i keep them off to save battery, but sometimes i like them on. Battery lasts, but you have a 3m cable to charge your headsets, and you can plug and play. Also you have a app to setup your own sound, which is awesome as well. I would say a 10/10 ! 🤩

In my personal experience the mic on my 933's and my friend's over skype and discord has never sounded bad and nothing like the recording in the video but that's probably just due to compression in discord/youtube.

Same mic, same battery life, same design other than earcup this is a pretty huge let down in my opinion. Feels like with the mice logitech have done amazing work but headsets they've just left and slightly remade it. Not worth the upgrade imo
I bought the g933 a year ago, and they have some bad things, like the plastic build it sometimes sounds when I am just talking and it's annoying to hear that plastic sound. Moreover, the volume scroll wheel stopped working a while ago, the volume goes up and down randomly when I use it. Although, I really like the headset. Very good sound it sounds very good in games, I have another expensive headsets for listening to music and they don't sound that well in games, the g933 just sound perfect. To listen to music they are fine, good bass and average highs and mids, satisfying enough. Also, the battery is pretty good, I can get more than 7 hours of battery with the leds turned off, and after 2 years with the battery deterioration it's pretty good. Would I buy these headsets in 2019? That depends. There's better headsets around there for sure, but if you just want the best audio quality, this would be fine.

I loved my 933’s for around a year until the wiring started shorting out and only one side of the headset put out sound. Gaming headsets are crap. They always end up breaking no matter how much I baby them. I’ve tried several brands from Sony to HyperX and they’ve all been expensive crap.
I've actually had my Logitech G230's for like 4 years now and they've been slammed on my desk and thrown and they're still doing great. I'm just now looking to upgrade my headset because well, it's been 4 years and i'm sure i can get better audio in a headset now.
5:00 Why they are still using micro USB?? It's 2019 and everyone is shifting to Type C (Even Apple did it).... It's not that bad for charging but using Type C in every gadget will be convenient.....😐
My left ear is also larger and touches the drivers on some headsets. Only reason I had to return my hyperx cloud alphas. Good to know you have a similar issue, will definitely pay attention to your reviews on comfort in the future.
I have just purchased the G935's. Right out of the box any volume above 50% gives off white noise (kind of like a light background static noise). I have turned down the Sidetone. This did not fix the issue. Please help me fix the white noise problem! :(
EVERY RUclipsR when reviewing headphones bends and twists them like no one will ever do! What does this have to do with what that product supposed to do? Hey - lets get a new car - drive it into a lamp post and give it bad review because now its bent but not supposed to.... :) They are big and bulky because deep bass needs room to develop/sound better - and g935 produce amazing thumping and punchy deep bass - its like you have your head constantly placed inside a cinema room!
I have nice headphones AKG K240 the gold ones and I had them for over 25 years (using it frequently) and they are still kicking - THAT IS DURABLE to me and I bet you that if I twist them like that video shows they would break instantly. Only NORMAL intended usage of the product and TIME can show if the product is durable (you can set up a machine in the lab to test the item usage for different time periods) not some guy on you tube bending and twisting...
@@ChineseWinnie Please read my other comment - bending and twisting is not the way to test durability - time and intended usage will show how durable they are.
From the flex test early in the video, it still seems to creak like an old house. Battery life was lacklustre. I switched to hyperx cloud flight and couldn’t be happier.

Bought these and they are amazing!! The lights work perfectly. Saying the lights does not make sense is like saying the whole design does not make sense just because you can't see them. Well... unless you are going to bed with them you are going to see them and THAT FEELS awesome! The sound is incredible. The feel is very porche and I did not get any of the "quality issues" he is referring to.
I have a G933 and the G935 is a disappointment to me. I mean first of all the receiver doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack so you cant have as much wireless compatibility. Second the mic sounds worse than the G933 which doesn’t affect me cuz I use a studio mic but its still a downgrade. And finally the most important part is that it doesn’t have DOLBY surround like the G933 and thats a very big deal. I have used the DTS and DOLBY mode on my G933 and the DTS sounds absolutely terrible compared to DOLBY. I dont know why they would remove the good audio and keep the bad one but I wouldn’t upgrade to the G935, instead get the G933 if you are interested and I definitely do recommend the G933
I completely agree about the Dolby vs DTS. I have G933 and DTS is unusable for gaming... I like it for music but g935 is a fail if it doesn't have Dolby
Rin Rin not really. The batter has like a 30 minute improvement. Id rather have 30 mins of less battery and have good audio than have a 30 minute bigger battery and crap audio.
I've owned and used the G933 daily for over a year and after a few months of use the power button messed up the whole sound of the headset. Every time i power the headset up the sound only comes from one of the channels, usually right channel. Then I have to wiggle the powerbutton to a specific position to get the sound balanced to the same level between the left and the right channel. I do this adjustment every day, when I power on my headset. Next time definetly going to try a different brand...
If yours is in pristine condition possibly but if it is you wont be getting to much out of this unless youve been having bugs from your old headset (like i have) which means its not pristine and you probs wont be able to sell it as much
@Dimitri I was really hoping you'd be comparing the sound and surround quality of the g933 vs g935 instead of comparing it to other brands. Can you at least expand on that by replying to this comment? How exactly does g935 sound better and is that DTS2 worth losing the ability to chose between Dolby (which sounds better imho) and DTS1 in g933?
bought it cause of this review - i'm very happy with it :) mic is okay for me and sound is very good . . . don't understand why u don't like the volume wheel . . . roll is softly for small changes or roll it fast for bigger changes - got to it instantly . .. for me it is the buttons that lack in feel and softness cause u got to press them really hard to release the trigger :E
Would strongly recommend against this headset. The build quality is cheap crappy plastic! It has annoying cracking sound. But the most important thing, my G933 was plagued with issues like "mic would not un-mute". The ridiculous suggestion to upgrade the FW when it's already on the latest version every now and then. For the great "happy ending", at some point after a bit over a year of use the left driver, occasionally started to disconnect and finally, after about 18 month, the mic just died. The thing that died was that swiveling muting connection. the mic became permanently muted. Even though I got them on sale around 100$, it was absolutely unworth!
Shockwave1985 I have to be completely honest with you, I have the older G933 and just bought the Nari Ultimate, and the Hypersense is cool and all , but the sound isn’t, it’s lacking so much definition and the bass is not healthy it’s more like an kinda boomy , but when I played the same game bf5 with my Logitech G933 it was so much better I can actually tell where my enemies are and actually got some kills with the 933 went back to the Nari and I couldn’t tell where anyone was it was just a lot of noise and vibrations so I’m returning the Nari’s today for the Logitech G935 hope this helps you out

as a G933 user i would love them to make a better rgb design and position, and to make the headset lighter and more comfortable and for the audio the quality is great i think i will skip this generation until they make more improvement on the design
My question is.. Did they do anything to address the power switch issue? It was the main reason I switched to the HS70. After a bit when I turned on my G933's I had to mess around with the power switch to get audio fully in both ears.

Am I only one who prefers the old logo
Love your content. Keep up to great work!!
Same mic, same battery life, same design other than earcup this is a pretty huge let down in my opinion. Feels like with the mice logitech have done amazing work but headsets they've just left and slightly remade it. Not worth the upgrade imo
50mm drivers and dts 2.0 is definitely a huge upgrade for me. I'm really considering getting those!
ignorant comment, get ur $$$ up
JUST GOT THESE THERE FRIGGIN INSANE LOVE EM
Hey folks,
Can i use the G935 padding on the 933?
Francesco Cupido no the G935 pad r bigger than the G933 pads
Thanks--just ordered one
IÑIGO KILLER if something isn’t working you can contact Logitech warranty claim and they send you a new one even without warranty
Exceptional quality your videos are very pleasant to watch!
Logitech G Pro, Steelseries Arctis 7, Sennheiser GSP 300, Sennheiser GSP 350, HyperX Cloud 2, HyperX Revolver S, Corsair HS70 or Sennheiser Game One ( I already had the Zero but I didn't like its sound) ? I need one with a good mic and sound in these prices ^^
EDIT : If you have an other idea, please let me know, I need a new one really fast ( my old Logitech G230 broke yesterday )
I've been loving my Cloud 2's.
@@watersnortmoment3734 I've heard that the microphone breaks really fast on this headset :c
@@watersnortmoment3734 And that it needed a really good dac
@@noxeal8963 My headset's mic has been fine for about 2 years now, I might have just gotten lucky. IDK what a dac is, so I can't speak about that.
@@watersnortmoment3734 Yea I think you got kinda lucky.. I exaclty dont know either what a dac is, but I've heard it was something to improve the sound
I really enjoy watching your vids. You help alot
Was waiting till when you were going to review this!!

Why they are still using micro USB??
It's 2019 and everyone is shifting to Type C (Even Apple did it)....
It's not that bad for charging but using Type C in every gadget will be convenient.....😐
I think it's because like the other headsets, they started the production of the headsets when usb-c wasn't so popular yet.
My left ear is also larger and touches the drivers on some headsets. Only reason I had to return my hyperx cloud alphas. Good to know you have a similar issue, will definitely pay attention to your reviews on comfort in the future.
I was thinking buying these.
Nevermind.

Isn't it to see if their durable?
@@ChineseWinnie Nopes. All headsets will break or bend if you twist them hard enough. To test for durability you have to test it functionally.
@@shadostorm8375 100% agree!
@@ChineseWinnie Please read my other comment - bending and twisting is not the way to test durability - time and intended usage will show how durable they are.
From the flex test early in the video, it still seems to creak like an old house. Battery life was lacklustre. I switched to hyperx cloud flight and couldn’t be happier.
logitech= one of the best mice and also one of the worst headset brand
Lol, can't agree more! 🤣
No gaming brand makes good headsets if you comair them to the money expect for sennhiser
Their budget headset (g430 etc) was nice despite the build quality
DJ Blue HyperX makes pretty good headsets
@@djbloo8996 I agree and disagree with u.. cause astro, hyperx are very solid headsets.. but also agree that senheiser and audiotechnia are much better
Bought these and they are amazing!! The lights work perfectly. Saying the lights does not make sense is like saying the whole design does not make sense just because you can't see them. Well... unless you are going to bed with them you are going to see them and THAT FEELS awesome! The sound is incredible. The feel is very porche and I did not get any of the "quality issues" he is referring to.
i love logitech and their mice and keyboards, but this honestly looks like shit. and no usb-c? what is this, 2013?
Same the only good headset they have is the gpro
why would u need usb-c for a wireless dongle? its streaming compressed audio not 4k video
@@kodaxmax better mic
@@Weppo. i don't think the usb is the bottleneck
@@kodaxmax then faster charging. For something with a 10 hour battery you might as well have fast charging with usb c
What game is that at 05:48? Looks really dope!
Seeing as they removed the audio jack from the receiver as well, the G935 is a G933 without all the features
I just got the logitech g933 a few hrs ago so I guess ur should I return to upgrade to the 935?
I mean ur just paying for a better battery life. Am I right?
Rin Rin not really. The batter has like a 30 minute improvement. Id rather have 30 mins of less battery and have good audio than have a 30 minute bigger battery and crap audio.
I've owned and used the G933 daily for over a year and after a few months of use the power button messed up the whole sound of the headset. Every time i power the headset up the sound only comes from one of the channels, usually right channel. Then I have to wiggle the powerbutton to a specific position to get the sound balanced to the same level between the left and the right channel. I do this adjustment every day, when I power on my headset. Next time definetly going to try a different brand...
should i sell my G933 for this?
If yours is in pristine condition possibly but if it is you wont be getting to much out of this unless youve been having bugs from your old headset (like i have) which means its not pristine and you probs wont be able to sell it as much
@Dimitri I was really hoping you'd be comparing the sound and surround quality of the g933 vs g935 instead of comparing it to other brands. Can you at least expand on that by replying to this comment? How exactly does g935 sound better and is that DTS2 worth losing the ability to chose between Dolby (which sounds better imho) and DTS1 in g933?
who else is ironically watching this with hyper x's on
bought it cause of this review - i'm very happy with it :) mic is okay for me and sound is very good . . . don't understand why u don't like the volume wheel . . . roll is softly for small changes or roll it fast for bigger changes - got to it instantly . .. for me it is the buttons that lack in feel and softness cause u got to press them really hard to release the trigger :E
I actually had the same issue. I fixed it by something as silly as uninstalling Skype and uncheck the background noice box in the logitech software.
@@daddygibbs1728 my issues were crappy build (absence of) quality. I tried with other computers as well just to be sure.
I love my G933 for gaming and listening to the CellDweller! I'm not to sure about the leather like material but I may upgrade.
Just get Sennheiser thank me latter
Do they make any that's wireless that support the PS4? Because I don't want a wired headset.
@@blessedred I don't think so but google it that sucks
@@blessedred wireless has inherent lag, no bueno
@@PUPGRLPDX depends on the headset. I didnt experience anylag with my arctis 7 whereas do experience a bit of them on my g933 and arctis 3
George N Bluetooth does. Wireless recievers don’t.
Crazy, I think the mesh one is way better. Probably since I live in a area in Brazil which is super hot. Leather pads are a no-go during summer too.
Micro USB in 2019 *vomit*
Still a thing in a lot of places. I just don’t get it
How does this compare to the Razer Nari Ultimate? Is the hypersense rumble feature really that much more immersive?
Shockwave1985 I have to be completely honest with you, I have the older G933 and just bought the Nari Ultimate, and the Hypersense is cool and all , but the sound isn’t, it’s lacking so much definition and the bass is not healthy it’s more like an kinda boomy , but when I played the same game bf5 with my Logitech G933 it was so much better I can actually tell where my enemies are and actually got some kills with the 933 went back to the Nari and I couldn’t tell where anyone was it was just a lot of noise and vibrations so I’m returning the Nari’s today for the Logitech G935 hope this helps you out
@@MrAnderson2744 much appreciated indeed! Gold star for you good sir! I will also be upgrading to the 935 from my 933 soon!
DO NOT BUY, IT DOES NOT HAVE DOLBY 7.1!!! ONLY HAS DTS, WHICH SOUNDS LIKE GARBAGE COMPARED TO DOLBY!!
Oh man, those earcups look great. Wonder if they have them on sale as parts to get a pair for my g633s.
The microphone on the 933 was awful.
Compared to a good mic yes, headsets (not including mod mic, because it can be used on this also) no
@@Dracossaint Did you not watch hardwarecanucks' review of gaming headsets which compared the microphone to other gaming headsets? Do you own a g933? Compared to hyper X II or the Astro A40 it is rubbish.
would be nice if one earcup had a huge RGB illuminated G logo and the other completely clean
Okay, but what microphone did you use to record the rest of the video? I want THAT one.
Thanks, I bought the 933 because of your other videos. Do you think it's worth the upgrade?
as a G933 user i would love them to make a better rgb design and position, and to make the headset lighter and more comfortable and for the audio the quality is great i think i will skip this generation until they make more improvement on the design
My question is.. Did they do anything to address the power switch issue? It was the main reason I switched to the HS70. After a bit when I turned on my G933's I had to mess around with the power switch to get audio fully in both ears.
"This is a gaming headset through and through"...
🔥🔥🔥
Hello Dimitri, great review as always! Im about to buy a new Headset, How these sound against the GSP600 for gaming and music in general? Halp!
As an owner, it's annoying how cellular phones will interrupt the signal when they do a gps ping out. What I found works is to leave the phone in another room, or disable all gps services.
Will it be possible to buy the leather cushions alone and use them on the g933
I’m planning to buy it for my PS4. Will you record it for PS4??
How is the range on these? I had the G933 and gave them to my son as I couldn’t go more than like 20 feet away without it breaking up signal wise I like to listen to things and sometimes walk away from my desk while doing so.
Do you need the software at all times to have the headset settings take effect?
Will there be a separate review of 635?
What game was that at 5:44
When does the Audeze mobius review come out?
Nostro my brother has them and absolutely loves them. There’s a 2 second review.
