You won't hear a better needle drop for the intro to a movie than this one. The moment I heard it I was instantly drawn in and I never heard of this song before and yet I felt like I've heard it before and then we see our main character and the title Anora and I was instantly in love. Such a perfect marriage of song and scene and the movie itself. Hope y'all watch Anora cuz it's an absolute masterpiece.

I saw it as here's someone who connected with someone else and she resorted to something she already knew but then after everything that's happened she needed to release it all and something triggered her to pause and reflect and let it all out. It was beautifully cathartic for them and for us
@cinefiend4059 I don't disagree... but there's also a lot of subtext there that makes it a bittersweet ending that leans FAR more on the bitter, especially because at least to me, it's implied that, despite their moment of connection, she never really sees Igor again, but maybe I'm reading it wrong.
@@MilkyWayGrump I think that's the thing about movie endings even if a director tried to explain their intention and said this is what happens next although I don't think Sean Baker would want to discourage us from thinking whatever we want to think cuz for me it's open to many interpretations. And I don't disagree with you cuz that's exactly how you felt. And for me there's definitely a lot of bitter but I'd like to think she'd also want to see him again cuz he was different and he treated her different as well and never once flirted or tried to touch her until the end which was what I wanted to see especially after all the great scenes they had together leading up to the final scene
