Well, to be honest, in this kind of Chinese drama with demon and gods, there is this idea of redemption where leads would reincarnate somehow and have another chance with happy ending. Here, the fact that Xiang Liu just died and there is no trace left of him, except for Nian's memory, Mao qiu's memory and the crystal ball, makes his character even more memorable. Of course, Tan Jian Ci's acting here is exceptional. He's definitely not as tall as we may expect (only 1m74), yet his Xiang Liu looks so powerful. How he stands, how he fights, how he moves... He is way above any ML of this genre, either Ye Hua, Feng Huang, Bai Jue, Yin Yang, Si Feng... Every costume he had is so much better than what we've seen these past years. They really remind me of 80's HK drama, straight but also elegant. His fighting scenes are also much better than other who are just flying/translating from point a to point b. TJC said that he wanted to have movements with his hair and he was so right, it was so perfect. And the last but not least, his eyes and his voice are incredible. I can totally understand why it will be hard to move from Xiang Liu for a while. I'm currently reading the novel to see the missing parts. And as many have said, I will consider that Lost you forever stopped with the 1st season.
Yes, I cried for "The Untamed" and again with "Word of Honor". Really great dramas can make you forget they are fantasy and you believe the people are real and not actors. It happens. But my heart has really ached for Xiang Liu. He deserved so much better than he got from the world.
I can’t believe that it’s been 300 years and he misses him until he finally hears his voice. Hopefully he’s reborn and make a season three I lost you forever with him in it and for him to be their main character we can hope I miss him too.

Happy ending causing happy tears. 😭

And maybe, like many other story of this genre, maybe, she will realize that she actually loves him and pray for his return so she can tell him. And i don't know, maybe, having his blood in her might help... Something like the starry love or ashes of love... Well, do somethin Mao qiu!
