Clothes, cash, meds to last a month. That's all one really "needs". Cash for 3 months or about the max allowed to leave the U.S. 10 grand. During the first month, if you require meds 30 days will give you time to locate a doc and deal with the local pharmacies. You can get most all meds but it might take a week or two.

    I agree, Brent.
For the ones that intend to stay for extended periods of time and lockdown a long-term rental, then bringing more bags can be advantageous.
When traveling to different islands and other SE Asian countries just leave the bags and your possessions at your homebase and pack a to- go bag.
I also agree with you on the traveling. It is a brutal flight. I think either way it’s going to be 25+ hour trip minimum depending on layover time.

The younger folks are pushing the one BACKBACK for all your needs.
Look at all the vloggers that are pushing that concept when traveling to Europe.
I for one used that idea to just use one backpack when staying in Boracay for seven days.
Your right, the backpack way from home base is critical.😊

When I went for a two months stay. I picked 21 days worth of clothes in two large suitcases. Consisting long business casual pants and shirts, and of course short pants and lots and lots of polo shirts.
Some people will dress up a little when spending time in expense luxury resorts and hotels that do have dress codes.
    Great videos, keep it up.

The standard wall plug here is 2-prong 220V. Stuff like cell phones and laptops should be fine, but you may need a 3-plug to 2-plug adapter easily obtained at a hardware store.
Unlike the US, voltatage/current strength can vary a lot here. Anything really valuable I always use a surge protector and voltage regulator/converter with. (I do not wish to see smoke coming out of my laptop!)

Hi, I will be in the Philippines for 29 days. Will it be better for me to buy clothes there? I'm planning to have my carry- on as a checked bag, can I have my deodorant, and perfume in there? What do I really need to survive my 29 days over there. Besides I will be landing in Cebu, what are your suggestions for accommodation?
