This verse lead me to my salvation, so here is my story of redemption...I hope it encourages someone to be patient when waiting for God’s will and timing
I am SO blessed and grateful that God lead me to Saddleback’s online community. I am not sure why I am sharing this other than the fact that I must be being led to do so, just as I was led to this encouraging message. Last year, during the pandemic (and sometime around April), I found myself pleading, yearning for the Lord. I vividly remember literally being on the floor in my bathroom, eyes flooded with tears. I was not a Christian then. Sadly, I wasn’t really sure I even had the belief. Despondent, desperate, scared, and totally lonely, I called out to God. I wanted to feel Him, I wanted to believe in Him. So, I asked Him to come to me, wanting His comfort so very badly. It was a simple, very very loose, informal prayer. I asked God to somehow reveal Himself to me in some way. Weeks went by, nothing. Finally, my depression had gotten so intense and dark, I began staying at my Father‘s house a good bit. My Father has always witnessed to me all of my life, and I’ve always been in and out of Christian schools and churches when I was a young girl growing up. Long story short, I was out in my Dad’s garage by his workbench. I remember exactly where I was, and that it was May 3rd. I heard God’s soft reminder of this very Bible verse!!! I recalled only a portion, as it had been many, many years since I was aquatinted with Christianity. The portion God revealed to me was the powerful; “Fear not, for I am with thee.” A feeling of comfort from the Holy Spirit overcame me, and I decided to look up the full verse. From that day forward, I became a believer in Jesus. Our Creator. This was a beautiful instant I’ll never forget in my life, and I can never ever deny Him since. Isaiah 41:10 was my “sign.” Not instantaneously, but a few weeks after reaching out to him on that bathroom floor. It all came full circle. I asked God into my heart. Since then, I believe in Him fully. I always will. I was having another tough day today, and this verse comes circling back to me yet again. This is my verse of salvation. My coming to the truth. Accepting His love has been such a colossal, pivotal thing for me. I can now say; “The comforter abides with me.” Praise His holy name! May you all be blessed in Him. 💜✝️🙌🏽🤍💕

Thank you for this devotion. Four months into my stage 5 chronic kidney failure, I have been asking God for a miracle. I receive God's Word through you.
