Saw him speak at an business convention, bought his book, read it and had our picture taken with him. What a great story, it was just inspiring to hear him talk about this whole process and putting his life together afterwards.
I think it is incredible. Loved the book and now the film and internet follow up.
Did you give him a hand?
@@MrParkerman6 Ha, yes we all did.
Glad you made it! 10 years later I’m still proud of what you overcame
Turly inspiring. This man is amazing and probably the bravest person ever. The fact that he was delighted when he realized he could finally cut his arm off by snapping the bone, insane. I cannot even imagine myself doing that no matter how desperate I was. I hope he's doing good now and he deserves the best in life
I think before people start to complain about how bad their lives are they should watch this, Aron you are a hero
You have ispared my life Aron! Thank God for your life brave man!
i have so much respect for this guy. talk about NOT giving up easily.
this is an inspiring story and event and i admire that he didnt give up.
I've shared this story with thousands of students, an amazing, captivating, spiritual story of survival. Truly a miracle that he even survived this 6 day ordeal, but if you know the story (not the movie) through the book he wrote, and the interview with Tom Brokaw (beautiful job) it is a lesson for all of us. When something in life has trapped us we must cut it off and break free. Drugs, abuse, blaspheme, etc.. you see the rock in Aron's story never gave up and neither will ours.
God was truly with him..
No one was with him that was the problem
You are truly a superman. The strength to get through those days in canyon trapped the pain you have gone through it takes a superhuman strength and will to stay alive. I salute you sir.
He isn't a hero, dumbass. He didn't save anyone but himself after being a complete reckless dumbass. Firefighters are heros. Not this jackass. Stop calling him a hero, idiot!
His story is unbelievable, no doubt, i cried with the movie too and I even remembered vividly the incident 8 years ago when I saw it on the news and I don t even live in the US. But don t ever underestimate urselves calling this guy a hero, cause many more of you than you believe would ve done something like this in his position- when u face death, u r capable of things u ve never imagined, both good or bad. So there s an Aron in all of us, more or less.
Just read Aron's book. One of the most intriguing stories I've ever read. That it induced intense introspective ponderings is an understatment.
Respect
Aron Ralston, 127 hours made me realize you had the courage to let go of one of your most important limbs. You are now my Hero.
According the newspaper he really met 2 girls before he got stuck, if i remember right.
i have every and all respect for this man, anyone to dislikes this video does not understand what that could be like
I cry for like 30 minutes At least whenever I Break a bone and this man literally cut his arm off with a knife in a pair of pliers absolute Madlad
I cried watching this. Such a beautiful story of survival. I will never trailer anything in. my life for granted again.
Crazy to think as i was being born this guy was stuck in the desert
Dear Aron, your survival was amazing, I am so glad you survived! You really are driven by adventure, aren't you? All the best and make damn sure your son takes a survival course eh? cheers Dianne
God bless him, what an amazing story!
I never heard of Aron until I saw him on "Alone in the Wild" but I have now just finished reading his book. It's so well written. You start off thinking how on Earth did he mentally manage to cut off his own arm but the journey he takes you on makes it so much easier to understand. A fantastic book, best I've read in ages. I've now ordered the movie!
This guy is a living survivor from a saw scene, rock on Aron!
i cannot even put into words.. the amazement.. and respect i have for you. you are simply amazing for going through this, and the will power you must have needed to get out is simply amazing. and i am only judging this on the movie "127 Hours" i am about to read your book tonight, and im sure my respect will grow even more when i am finished. you are a true hero and inspiration.
So the camera person couldnt afford a tripod or what?
He is a rolemodel people and has taught us a lesson in life never ever give up respect this man this hero
hes an inspiration to my life....so brave.
This guy is a true hero. He changed my life by giving me the strength to never give up and always stay positive no matter what.
This man is a true inspiration
this man is an extraordinarily brave man. I couldn't even begin to fathom what that would be like to have to cut off your own arm. God was watching over him and got him out of that cannon alive, he is truly blessed and so very fortunate to be alive. How any one could dislike this is beyond me and should really rethink hating something so miraculous. shame on you.
He is lucky he wasn't dangling with no floor below his feet I really feel for this dude but also I have big respect for him he is some one to really look up too.top man
I completely take my hat off to this man in awe of his bravery and strong will to survive. Saw the movie here in Norway today and all I can say is: MAD RESPECT!!
medics: Hey aron i--- OH MY GOD WHERES YOUR ARM?
Aron(calmly): I cut it off
I'm sooo pissed I haven't heard of this guy until I saw 127 Hours. This guy should be famous for doing what he did he is a true hero.
Even if he had a phone, there would probably not have been any signal down there.
Man this guy is amazing, the will to never give up. He is a hero in his own way
this man is a huge inspiration!
im so happy he survived :)
he was in so much pain but he was brave and didnt gave up.
This guy is seriously amazing!!
Imagine the college scholarships he could've gotten with that story
I can’t believe that he did this in real life! I was not even able to watch 5 min of him cutting his arm off in the movie and he was doing this for 1 hour and a few minutes! I can’t even think about cutting my arm off! This guy is amazing!
Most people will never be in a situation like that ,testing ourselves what we’re really made up of,if he thought he was brave before, he now knows who he is better than ever .
Bear Grylls? That's child's play!
wow you are amazing...you are my idol. I just watched the movie today and was so moved by you I have googled you and looked at tons of pictures and just finished watching the 6 part video of you your interview. I just came accross this clip now and just heard you say that the time this happend was april 26 through to may 1st and I cant believe it is May 1st NOW as I watch this.......what an incredible moving experience your story has been to me. Thank you for sharing and for inspiration.
Thoughest guy of the century. This guy must have an incredibly strong soul, will and mind. I still don't get it where he got the strength from to climb up that cannon after 5 days of starvation and having amputated his own hand.
i've been watching about an hour of these videos, its just crazy
he did meet 2 people which he guided to some place before going off...however i dont remember if it was 2 girls or 1 girl and a man..regardless, the jump into the pool under the rocks etc was most likely not part of the real deal :P
This dude could not have been closer to my worst fear. Not being able to move for several hours even DAYS. Then continuing to cut the whole arm off. King.
aron ralston is a survivor
The human's will to survive is astonishing. It doesn't always take a person who can handle pain. Yes, Aron is a true inspiration to many people and a hero to most, but anyone would attempt it, just not everyone would succeed.
They us we should applaud himm
He needs to be university guest speaker, seriously now I learnt DON'T GIVE UP
"i suffered through all of these various bodily and mental degregations for one or two nights"
You're very brave I'm glad you're safe. GOOD LUCK.
when Aron smile I feel like .... I dont know when Just ....
I dont know what I wanna say ?
I am so sad that he lost his arm but I'm so happy that he's alive
God has taken him out of that place where he was stuck
I'm so happy when he smiles so so happy
God didn't take him out of that canyon he was stuck in mate. Aron Ralston for himself out of that canyon but cutting his own arm off. God's got nothing to do with it
I just saw the movie right now. Wow this guy is so... i don't want to say not human but i can't believe how strong he is.
I think I would have tried to cut it, then cried like a bitch, chickened out at the nerve, and bled out lol... :(
sparklyunicorn my thoughts exactly. after watching that scene I know I’d bleed out trying to get through the central nerve
This is why you ALWAYS tell someone where you are going, when you are expected back. Amazing courage from this man though.
Yeah pee drinking is the easy part. I'll drink pee all day before I can say I'll cut my own arm off literally in the middle of nowhere, with a great risk of simply bleeding out. Yeah, pee drinking is no problem.
To think he didn’t pass out from the nerve pain! This guy has some damn perseverance.
