I learned to go fast on California dirt roads back in '61 in my PV, and this really lights some great memories of 4 crazy boys and a case of beer ☺☺

I bought one of these today. '63. Needs a complete restore. I had no idea they were used for racing, I just liked it.

Ja jag måste säga, jag har ägt en Volvo PV och sedan dess jag blev av med den så har jag ångrat mig så mycket. Det är en fantastisk bil, som ofta inte går sönder. Jätte fint klipp också!

Those hump cars( kryppa in Icelandic) just have some charm newer cars just lack. Plus Volvos can do 3 million miles..

I know this is a stupid question, but I keep seeing these cars spinning both wheels when they come through, so- do they have positive traction? Or- do the builders weld the gears in the rear-end? (I've owned a few old Volvos, but I never thought to check before now)

+Chinese Mugwump I am unsure about this, could be the diffential or not.. Maybe just no traction =D

+SwedishRally I've noticed on other vids also they always spin both wheels (like positive traction on a Chevrolet). Just wondered.

I think they have either welded it or some kind of lsd in the rear

You're better not to cover the spots, because if you accidently turn them on under the covers, they will burn out.
