Almost like he was sent by God himself. Truly an angelic voice that no one will ever come even close to beating.
I listened to his Over the Rainbow song years ago, but never knew his story. I’ve been crying for a week now. I can’t stop listening to this gentle giant’s soothing voice. I listen, I look at his beautiful young face, I listen to him in different videos talk of how we need to love each other and I cry...such a precious soul. I’m so glad he came to know Jesus. What peace to know that he is with Jesus! Please, someone, make a true movie of his life and the Hawaii that he loved.
I am so glad he & Malene became Chrisians. I know he is in heaven with Jesus & living forever & leading the Heavenly Choir. I hope to meet him when I get to Heaven. I hope my dad & brother have met him up There.
I know he has the talent to rip your heart out make but love doing. His versions of some make me cry but love hearing his beautiful voice. Is you are will be always be loved and missed.

Alex I'm sorry to disagree. It's not haunting but beyond any earthly design. We played a version of this song at both my brothers funerals at our mother's request. They passed within a year and a half oldest and youngest sons. I couldn't imagine how much she suffered at the loss of 2 son's within 2 years. I would have loved to have had this version played. But seeing how Israel Kamakawiwo'ole is there with them and my mother makes me somehow feel comfort. I will see you ALL soon 🙏🕊️

Beloved bradda Iz. I count myself blessed to have seen him with his older brother Skippy (& the rest of the Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau) right before Skippy died, back in the early 70s, here in wonderful Hilo town on this most sacred island of Hawai'i Nei. Will never forget it. Akua bless them always!

Just the song for my dad... He has been there behind me and lifted me up but no one saw him. By the time i reached the heights and looked back he vanished, couldn't give him what i wanted him to have 🙏🏽... Just this song (especially the IZ's version) reminds me dad's face, smile, love and sacrifice.

What emotion. He was around 10 when I lived in Hawaii. I only recently learned of his beautiful music. The only one to lay in state. Quite an honor and so loved. He made such a huge difference in this world. ❤️

She was 90 years old and a blessing to everyone she touched our lives. We will all miss her so much. She taught us to stand up and be nice to friends and family also neighbors. I was unreasonably slandered online and was very sad. I did not tell anyone about it, but my son asked me if I knew IZ. He told me that he liked IZ, and I saw IZ. Tears welled up and my feelings melted. My teenage son says IZ is a lovely person, I've become a big fan of IZ, I'm a musician too, I've decided to speak out for peace through music, I'll never be slandered on the internet again.

I just came across "IZ" by watching the animated video on the Google search. Wow, Cant believe I've never heard of him. Such a beautiful voice. His smile and awesome personality just beam thru when he laughs and speaks. So sad to learn he passed so long ago at an early age. I will definitely keep listening and add him to my list of favorites. Cant wait to hear more of his songs.
