You truly are the best Zither player right now. I love and am learning from you in a big way thanks mate. I have two Zithers now. Both 6 chords but one has single Melodie strings and the other has double. I have been playing for six weeks now, the knowledge of 30 years of playing the guitar, harmonica and Bass guitar. I also play the Baritone Ukulele which i am in love with. I love the way you play and it gives me great inspiration Thank you for that indeed.
This is such a lovely piece of music! Thank you for composing it and sharing it with us. Your mastery of the chord zither is amazing, and very inspiring. I love that you are bringing attention back to the chord zither. I find it hard to believe that this instrument ever fell into obscurity, because with your skillful playing, you demonstrate just how beautiful it is. After watching many of your videos, I have decided to acquire a chord zither and learn to play it. Once I find the right instrument, I hope to obtain your teaching course and start learning. Thanks again for sharing your talent with us!
Hello from the Czech Republic! Thank you so much for sharing this music for zither - unfortunately for many people almost unknown instrument, I guess. I have 2 zithers at home which I herited from my great-grandparents. It was a fashionable instrument at the beginning of the 20th century here in Czechoslovakia. Many zither clubs were all around the country untill the WWII. It disappeared after the war - the instrument was identified with German identity and culture, so it started to be perceived very negatively by Czechs. What a pity!

Que música tan bonita!!!!!! Le felicito por tan exquisita composición, me encantó, ojalá le hubiera descubierto antes...debería promocionar más sus creaciones. Un cordial saludo!!!!!!
The chords are groups of strings on the left side and theey should be numbered - 5 or 6 from right to left. If you want more details about tuning, please email me via my website etiennedelavaulx.com.au Cheers
+Maria Dav On a 6 chords zither, you can play in A melodic minor, with all the chords necessary for that key. On a 5 chord zither you can only play in a natural minor key (A or D minor). However, I play everything I can on a 5 chord zither, as it is easier to play, being less cluttered with sharps and flats.
+Maria Dav If you can zoom in and see the numbers under the chords (5 to 1 or 6 to 1, 5 or 6 will be furthest to the left). Otherwise, count the chords which consist of 4 strings with a thick bass to the right (to the left in some american zithers).
Dieser Song gibt mir einen Frieden und eine Ermutigung für das Herz, ich habe ein solches Instrument nur einfacher und nichts .wie Sie ein Wort Deutsch, und Nachkomme von Deutschen nicht, nicht berühren. Sehr gute Musik ..

I have a zither but I don’t know how to tune it, or how many chords it is! Is there a way to tell that?

What is the difference between a 6-chord and a 5-chord zither?

How do I know by the image if it is 5 chord or 6?
