It’s amazing the cast in this game only has this and maybe one other role. Some of them are credited to a lot of things but Alcina, Ethan, Mia, Miranda, Heisenberg...all these wonderful actors (new fresh talent IMO) have just a few credits to their name with Heisenberg also being the voice of Nicholai! That range this man has. Alcina in particular was a spectacular delivery with so much feeling. A stark contrast to how this franchise started lol one of the daughters, Daniela I believe, is also Elena...AND Jill Valentine in the remake last year. Her range is great as well I couldn’t tell at all.
@@4Syorha they were all villains anyway ethan did the world a service except for thr few villagers that he ran into they were just unfortunate wolf bait 😁
I really wanted a 2 visit run to Dimitrescu Castle. Imagine we manage to get out right after killing all 3 daughters. Deal with Beneviento, Moreau and Heisenberg. But we didn't get the Rose Flask from Dimitrescu, so we go back fo find the inside of castle completely trashed and destroyed except the portrait of her three daughters. That's when this theme starts playing.
That's exactly what I had in mind after the boss fight. She should have been the last one to beat, not because of all the hype around her but because her and Heisenberg were the most interesting and memorable antagonists. The castle was also the best environment, so having to explore it a 2nd time but in a different setting would have been genius. Missed opportunity unfortunately. As soon as the game tell us to go fetch the flasks it turns as a routine quest to defeat all bosses.
Resident Evil has always had crazy monsters long before the Souls/Borne games, I think new fans need to go back and play the past RE games to understand everything.
@@awesomepie2777 I wouldn't say that. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem did the eldritch and lovecraftian horror really well imo. I think bloodborne just reinvented it
Genuinely got chills throughout this boss fight especially when she says "You would take everything from me?!", such a well written and acted character and is fast approaching to being my favourite RE antagonist ☺️
I agree! There was so much rage, pain, and insanity, and with her saying things like, I'll never forgive you, you took everything from me, you ruined everything, you murdered my daughters, etc, I started to feel little guilty by the time it was over. I definitely enjoyed her character, as well as all the Lords.
@@_KylePearce_ Yeah Heisenberg was the shit lol. His Magneto robot power fight with Ethan using the machine like Aliens (the movie) style was epic. Heisenbergs voice and Magneto type shit and the whole fight was epic there
5:45 I love the deep sound here (unsure of instrument) but it's the sound that is prominent whenever she's nearby inside the castle, and on my first playthrough I just loved this sound and how eerie it is.
I honestly I’m not a fan of the Tall Lady, but I cannot deny that she’s got a very awesome boss theme, really captures her true form of an abomination and the tension the fight ensues.
As many times as I come back, I can't help but hearing the maidens screaming throughout this theme. I notice that that "maiden screaming" fade before Alcina dies, as if their souls are resting because of Ethan. If you notice at the ending of the theme, the instruments that sound like screams stop before the last part that sounds like Lady D's fades to end. Truth to be told, Lady D was a very dangerous being to humanity alongside with the rest of the Lords, including Mother Miranda. How many people has she killed to feed herself and her three daughters? They existed for almost a century, which is one part that makes them deadly, but also interesting.
I’m getting Doom Eternal Icon of Sin/“Final Sin” vibes from this music and fight. And I’m not gonna lie, I was on the fence about Dimitrescu before... I’m sold now XD
i LOVED her castle, and her boss fight had me smiling like an idiot with excitement, but i think her whole thing was too early in the game. she shouldn't have been first, maybe the third, and then heisenberg. donna and moreau's sequences were so short compared to dimitrescu that i felt slightly underwhelmed going into them right after her fight
5:05 I love this part, it feels like you see a beautiful lady but you see how horrifying she is because she tortures and eats people, she adopted flies and you see what she turns in the boss fight. Fits perfectly! ❤
Absolutely amazing boss battle theme. But I also think that Lady D's boss battle happened way too early in the game. Her boss battle should be more like Excella Uroboros Aheri was in RE5's campaign, later in the game, just before the last boss Albert Wesker - Mother Miranda in this case.
One thing would have been cool is instead of the boss fight being in Just the tower, imagine having to run back through the castle as she's flying around and tearing through the ceiling. She's enraged over losing her daughters and will do anything to destroy Ethan, even if it means rendering her beautiful castle into rubble.
They either shoulda had the castle closer to the end of the game, allowing her and her daughters to pose more of a challenge, or they should have had her be like Jack Baker and just show up at random points during the story. Her bossfight was second only to Heisenberg in sheer spectacle, and it came around four hours in. Imagine if Lady D actually had a human bossfight to end off the castle segment, only to pull a Jack and attacking you after you killed Moreau. Imagine if one of the climactic battles of the game was you retrieving that dagger after she slapped it away and then using it on her. And forcing the transformation- Hell, SHE could have been the boss for Chris's section in this hypothetical version of RE8. Why did we need a reskin or Urias? I didn't mind the castle segment, but this character went VERY underutilized. Otherwise a fantastic game.
