Hey Nightflyer, I just have to say your awsome dude. I'm a newbie but learning quickly because of the help of guys like you. Thanks Pal, your making a big diffrence and your videos are fun to watch too. What more can I say.
Dave You are a true artist. Excellent work. We had a demo here this week on a fully automated drone to perform recon work for domestic use. The images are really good, but the price tag is high, $12,500. I am still looking for a platform where I can take pictures using a 10 to 12 MP camera from 400. I look forward to seeing your work
I just ordered this plane a few days ago, so Dave's video was a help. I really like Dave's latch for the compartment door. Improvise Adapt and Overcome to Conquer Adversity. Dave or anyone else here; How durable are the wings? Can this plan take few hits?
@NightFlyyer Great review. Have been looking for a camera platform also. I plan on using my GoProHD on it similar to the NitroPlane video. Only question I have is you used the Optima Exceed Brushless motor. Never mentioned size. I'm new to this RC stuff so am somewhat in the dark on what would be good. Plan on using the rest of the items you mentioned just was Blank on the Motor and prop. Thanks in advance. Warren
Nice video! I wanted a good camera plane with a trainer setup. I wanted this but NP couldn't tell me when (if ever) it was going to be available. I went back and forth between the Skywalker FPV plane and the projet MQ-9 Reaper, finally settling on the Skywalker because of the HUGE following on RCgroups. I'm still loving the scale look of the MQ-9 but only want it if it is a GREAT camera platform. What were the drawbacks you found with it?
Hi, after looking at your video I just got my new Raven RQ-11 look good I know you have had your's for a little time is there some new things you can tell me about it? and thank you for your video's.
that was a nice flying cam drone and actually flies pretty quick with the motor setup you chose also got a question how does the new lipo battery of nitroplanes work for you are they worth their cheap prices? also find you some cheap wells lamont gloves and snip the fingertips off your gonna get frost bite :P
It's 3 channel right Dave? Is this a beginner aircraft, or more intermediate? I ask because in the sun the light it shows a balsa wing frame..It looks kinda fragile! Thanks Dave, great video.. AGAIN! LOL
another winner, she is pretty fast and powerfull allright, nice one Dave, hope you defrosted your hands already LOL Don't forget to drink a shot with your coffee now. lol
@DCRNM Hello "...a platform where I can take pictures using a 10 to 12 MP camera from 400". You should make a search for "Quadrocopter", "Microcopter, or "Hexacopter". These are great camera platforms - very stable in the air, can be upgraded with nice stuff like GPS-navigation and much more. Take a look at this. ;-)
I don't like the pull-pull cable setup. The adjustibilty factor is zero unless you un-crimp and re-crimp the cables. Too much headache. I'd go adjustable push rods.
Well this was 13 years ago, and not much in FPV back then, so this was just a line of sight airplane. If you cant see it, you aint got it anymore. LOL.

The latch design is enlightening
Thanks. I appreciate that. Too bad I lost this in the fire of 2016, which destroyed everything. Stay well and fly easy.
Dave

I bought the plane also. Love it. Modded the. Rubber , made from corrugated plastics. Add landing gear for balance.

A great nightflyer review like always.

You are a very good aviator.
This is awesome....!!!! I'm gonna check one out myself. Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy Holiday Season..........Joe Connick

excellent video. thanks!
Dave, Great video! Definatly LIGHTS! Looks like it flys great, do you know how much weight it will carry? jb
man i love your videos very well explained keep'em coming partner!!
Did you ever put your HD camera on this plane? and do you have more video's on this plane? good video.
You need the heated control sticks option..
Great Job on your plane how does it fly? I just ordered one and I would like to know if it is good for a new be?
It's 3 channel right Dave? Is this a beginner aircraft, or more intermediate? I ask because in the sun the light it shows a balsa wing frame..It looks kinda fragile!
Thanks Dave, great video.. AGAIN! LOL
nice video!
You are turning like that by only applying rudder? Never flown a plane without ailerons so was surprised to see it banking without them.
@danshyu and also because at this temperature, the LiPo actually would welcome insulation to keep warm and not lose performance :)
Dear Dave,
What size prop did you use? Did you use an 8x7 pusher? I would love to know.
@NightFlyyer Good idea, I'll be sure to wrap my batteries in bubble wrap too :D
Just wondering if you have a plane with a video camera that would give you live video on a monitor ? So you can see what the plane is looking at?
another winner, she is pretty fast and powerfull allright, nice one Dave, hope you defrosted your hands already LOL
Don't forget to drink a shot with your coffee now. lol
Does it come with its own camera or do i got to buy my own? Also how far does it fly and how long can it fly?
Hey Dave,
What size prop did you use? Did you use an 8x7 pusher?
@NightFlyyer
OH RAH! Adapt, overcome, improvise...and fly!!!!!
how long is your flight time? and how many Kv is the motor...thanks
Could you please tell me what motor and prop and speed controler you use? Please be specific. Thanks
Dave how much does this plane have in commen to the one that the military uses?
@Hewey19 I'd imagine he did it to fill up the space so the battery doesn't bump around in flight.
Would you suggest the RQ-11 for long range FPV? Thanks

Why do you have the battery wrapped up in bubble wrap like that?
FIRST!
i finally get to do this!! :)
Have you tried flying it with FPV gear?
I don't like the pull-pull cable setup. The adjustibilty factor is zero unless you un-crimp and re-crimp the cables. Too much headache. I'd go adjustable push rods.
how long of flight time would u get with this one?
just elevator and rudder?
@kevco8201 doenst have wheels, looks the same. but theres not to much in common really
@NightFlyyer
HUAA!!!!
Improvise, Adapt and Overcome to Conquer Adversity!
How does this bank without ailerons?
rudder can do the thing
Why don't you take out the clay in the front and move the camera equipment up front to balance it out.
why could'nt you use pushrods?
Looks like a stable platform for you camera .I give this one a thumbs up 10/10 {"_*}
How much range?
Well this was 13 years ago, and not much in FPV back then, so this was just a line of sight airplane. If you cant see it, you aint got it anymore. LOL.
Looks like it flew pretty good, nice job Dave, now go warm up thos hands,lol.......Bob
Way to freeze your hand off for us Dave.
I took a cheap pair of jersey gloves and cut the tips of the fingers, like shooting gloves. Just sayin'.
;-)
seems a bit fast for a camera/FPV plane
هاذا رقيب حق الحوثيين الي مزعجينا فيه😂😂
Dave you ruined that plane by not putting alerions on it.
I other words, too much work.
stop wimping about some cold hands and do some more flyin'
