Thanks so much for this info!!! My Pencil died months ago and I only found out too late that if you left it uncharged for too long the battery died and was unusable. Never got round to tossing it, felt like a waste, but only now came across this video. Gave it a try and it's working again 100%!! You've just saved me a fortune!!!!!!

Thank you very much. It finally work after trying to connect it for days. I used the hair dryer at high heat, full blown for like 1 min. Plugged it in iPad and finally this stupid Apple Pencil is connected. You save me from throwing this stupid thing into the garbage.
I tried this.... it started charging...... but as soon as I remove it from the lightning connector then again the ipad asks to reconnect and when you reconnect then again the charge goes down to 3%..... any solution?
Mine is charging reaches 100% but once you pair it, it disconnects and shows again 3% heating didn’t work, if you have any other suggestions I would love to know, thank you.

For those who this didn’t work Put the ipad on aeroplane mode and turn on Bluetooth, turn the ipad off , turn it on , turn off wifi , open Bluetooth and insert apple pencil. You are welcome ❤️
Thanks man. I restarted my device but it didn't work. Then I put it in aeroplane mode and then switched off and on again and clicked on forget this Apple pencil. And then turned on Bluetooth and it paired. I was getting worried and angry. 😅
can somebody please help? I have an Apple Pencil 1st gen and I’m trying to connect to my IPad 7th Gen. The pair button comes up but if I don’t press it quickly the option goes away. Once it is “Connected” if I take the pencil out it immediately says “Not Connected” and I cant use it. It also wont charge and It hasn’t been used before and I haven’t even had it for a year yet. I have tried forgetting this device atleast 20 times. It cost me a lot so I’m not sure what is happening if I can get some advice would be helpful!

It looks that that useless gen 1 Apple Pencil connecting and disconnecting in your charging widget. Bro, nothing helps. I have 2 dead pencils. Both as good as new.
Me too! I had the first one but it never even paired with my iPad once so they send me another one and it’s happening the same thing. I’ve tried and check everything but nothing works. I haven’t even got the opportunity to use them once, they are literally new

It looks the battery has died and I've read the pencil has this issue..if it didn't with this probably you might hv to go for a new one

This is is the prob of my pen as well.. When i plug my pen in the ipad.. It doesnt show the pen charging on the screen as well..

Yeah Logitech has the best non Apple accessories, I use the Logitech keyboard and an Apple Pencil.
Unfortunately, mine dies immediately after charged to 100 , tried the heat trick, still no dice 😢
