I always wish the N64 WWF games had unlicensed characters we could edit but I know that sort of stuff wasn't as easy to get away with in the West, unfortunately
Hey how are you doing sorry to bother you but by any chance do you have a safe fire for the Japanese version of this game virtual-pro-wrestling-2-oudou-keishou-japan
There is actually a rom hack that been out for some years called VPW2 Freem mod that has WWE and WCW added to some of the wrestlers in this game. You can now port it over to a card reading cartridge like an ED
Swap the backside of the cartridge out with the backside of a North American cartridge. Then it'll fit in your n64. You need the game bit screwdriver to open them though.
@TheNaturalPatHarris interesting! Never heard of that happening before. The notches on the back are in different places between NA and pal/japan. I was tired of swapping mine around so I just got one of those 3D printed region free cartridge slots and swapped it out lol

Was there ever an English patch/mod?

Any reliable way to play this on an American 64 console?
Swap the backside of the cartridge out with the backside of a North American cartridge. Then it'll fit in your n64. You need the game bit screwdriver to open them though.
The version I got off eBay years ago is an import but plays perfectly on my American console
@@TheNaturalPatHarris did you get the English translated rom version?
@@guillotinebeard no, everything is in Japanese
