@@naijabelle4961 I'm not a fan of Sarkodie, but he's taking Ghana music to the next level as best as he could. He did is while maintaining his rap identity, and doing it in his local language. He's arguably the most accomplished rapper in Africa.
Well said Kojo. Sark Has been an essential pillar to our music. He can never be written out. But times must go on and and new histories must be made. God bless our music. Let's continue climbing
I'm a die hard Sarkodie fan from Nigeria. However I have one thing to say. It took a long time before Nigeria could achieve all we have. It will take time for Ghana too. Sarkodie might not be the front liner but let's appreciate the fact he paved way for whoever will do it. He made RAP sound great. You can't compare him to Burna Boy. He doesn't deserve this heat. Maybe y'all should face R2bees or an actual singer who hasn't even achieved up to half of what King Sark has achieved. Lol.
My opinion on this issue: 1. Do I think Sark has done a lot? YES. 2. Do I think he could have done more? YES 3. Does it take anything away from him? NO The thing is Sark was there, he could've done all what these guys are doing out there. I personally feel he hesitated or something because one of the reasons he didn't join konvict was he said he wanted to concentrate on Africa 🌍. As at the time the doors opened, he could've took but as Sheldon for Sark doing what he did as a RAPPER, you can't take anything away from him and that's why he's the STANDARD. Take a bow 🙇 Sark, you paved a way for many
This weird comparison is always the problem and the reason for the lack of progress.Burnaboy's genre is Afrobeats which is Unique to Africa and Nigeria to be precise. Rap originated from America, therefore Sark's competition is Drake,Kanye,Future etc. He has chosen to rap in his language which makes him a Ghanian rapper and he is happy with that and has chosen to limit himself, It is up to others to push those boundaries and raise the standards so that they can compete globally. Burna Boy is pushing his music to the world and it is easier because no one else sounds like him.The problem is the low standards, there is satisfaction from being the "greatest rapper in Africa" rather than the greatest rapper in the world.
Facts. The copying is too much. Ghanaian artists are always trying to sound either American, British or Jamaican. These sounds are not original to the African continent as a whole. How are we trying to penetrate the international market from Ghana by trying to sound like American or Jamaican artist? Where is the uniqueness or originality?
Sark is doing hiplife/hippop and Afrosong hiplife was generated from highlife The father of hiplife was Reggie rockstone Sarkodie is doing drake style of rap Sarkodie style is unique from that of the American rap
Sarkodie has not set any low standard Now what Sheldon is saying is true That bragging he is talking about go and listen to illuminate by Sarkodie Am on my way to Grammy A lot of bragging I can’t even mention Bossu cut ur coat according to ur side He always compares himself to burna level but Una no reach there yet ooo
With all your plenty sentences I thought you’d had made sense small. Ose rap is from America. Smh Rap is Africa and it’s african. Black America took rap from Africa and decorated it with hip hop. No time to write stuff you don’t even get it. Do your research.
I luv Sark for real...he has done more than enough, that is why I stream his music than downloading it free...that is my support for him...More luv Sark💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍
I'm a Nigerian, I don't really know what Ghanians really expect from Sark. He has already done it all. He's the rapper with most awards in Africa and also among the top artiste in Africa with most awards, I think he's just below wizkid and Davido. He has already paved the way as a rapper. It ain't easy to be the number one in a country as a rapper. Many Nigerian artistes like D'banj, 2face, Eedris Abdulkareem, Rugged man, Mode9 and few others all paved the way for the present Nigerian artistes, Sark have done that for the Ghana Industry, so the rest can continue. No pressure
Please understand that the album he release was the last grace he had for Ghana music...he has done his best..and his time has come sakodie can't shake the world again... let's appreciate his efforts
Why can’t he shake the world again ? Are the likes of Kanye West & Lil Wayne, Eminem, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg still not doing music ?? These are men in their late 40s & 50s except Wayne who is on to say 38. How old is Sarkodie ??? Just 36 going on to 37 ??? Get lost !!!!
Sark has done what Sark can do best . That’s his highest peek.He is not the only artist who do music in Ghana. Overtaking is allowed,You can imagine those who criticised him are unemployed.Burna started from somewhere so stop the comparison and just congratulate whoever deserves it .
The industry is the problem.. Sarkodie didn't ask for it, he worked so hard to be where is he amd I'm sure he has a certain level or standard he wants for himself. The industry so called gatekeepers are the reason ghana music is limited.. The industry needs BRUSHING paaa.
I'm Nigerian and i really like Sarkodie. I feel Sark is the best Rapper in Africa. He beats South Africa's Nasty C and Nigeria's M. I. The thing is, Afrobeat/fusion&Amapiano is the trendy thing outta Africa now. For Rap to stay relevant in Africa it has to get more infused with the trends...
How did we even get into the business of comparing apples 🍎 to oranges 🍊? I think a lot of people forget that Sarkodie is a RAPPER, whereas Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid are singers/AfroPop. How do we forget the obvious difference in genres? In order to be fair, we perhaps ought to put artis from similar genre in a bracket and judge them. This whole clamour is needless. Ghanaians are cynical beyond belief.
You have made a lot of sense big man but I think you should also look at something too. Investment in the industry and labels not available to take these artists to certain heights is one thing we should look at as well. The artist themselves are doing well and have all it takes to get to the top but they need the support of other stakeholders more especially investors and labels that truly means the industry and the artist well and not just themselves. Our top artist have been doing it alone financially. You cannot say that Sarkodie didn't have to spend a lot to get to where he is now . Same with Burna , Davido and wiz, but the difference is that , all these Nigerians had Investment support and backing from corporate brands to take them to the world stage. It was an agenda and it still is . Meanwhile, over here , sark, stone and wale are doing it on their own. The more reason why someone would choose to shoot his video with an iphone instead of paying or investing for a dope one...lol 😂 but that's the truth. The need financial backing because doing it on their own with all these people around them (their team) takes a lot from them. How much do our artist make from steaming as compared to our Nigerian counterparts bro? Our culture is poor on certain things meanwhile we have got all the talents here!! Check the big shows these Nigerians play , most of them have their gatekeepers as Nigerians behind it Lowkey! They invested to get there so definitely they would choose to put their own there and ignore our Stars. The money and vision started with them and so it must go them! You need understand all these things to be able to appreciate the works of our artist!! See , Fameye, Kwesi Arthur, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, king promise , Gyakie, Black sheriff will all do super well or more as Rema , Ckay, Fireboy, Joeboy, Kiss Daniel etc if they are financed and support with the right connects globally! See Blacko Now, doing so well . The light was on him and Ghanaian watched him until Burnaboy started hyping him globally. Noez he's signed into Empire Records and you expect those he came to meet to still do well as him?? Not to say, he wasn't support here... sarkodie in particular started this whole thing about Black Sheriff but it took Burna from Nigerian to give him the spotlight and the right connect when we have a whole creative arts ministry and industry here making " noise". If sarkodie went global with Twi alone , are you telling me he can't do more when supported financially and given the right plugs by investors and gatekeepers outside ? The funny this is , the Ghanaian Entertainment Gatekeepers are few and not well recognized like the Nigerians but yet when proper measures are put in place , they will all blossom very well my brother. You have a point but I think it goes beyond that. Which label are behind the artist we have in Ghana my brother ? Check the records of these Nigerians and you would understand me well. Ghanaians wants to do see you do well are NOT ready to go with you to see you do well at the TOP. They only want to see you do well but forgets that MONEY and the RIGHT connects makes the Magic. Our artist have the talent and what it takes to go global so let's look at certain things well. If we can't support them that way to grow , let's at least appreciate and have patience for them to do it on their own. They believe they can do it and that's why all that's happening hasn't stopped them. Sark dropped an Album, check the streams and understand that we haven't done enough for him to put out such shows for us to feel proud of ourselves. Burna boy has been performing songs on one Album for 2 years now on BIG stages and he's still selling them out all because of the structures built behind him by his RECORD LABEL and the industry (the people) he comes from. Do sarkodie, stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have the same mechanisms behind them my brother? I really want to talk to you to add my voice to this important discussion if only you would give me the opportunity. You can call / WhatsApp 0243611472 for us to talk. I am Moro from Accra. Thank you for this one too🙏🙏
SARKODIE AND STONEBWOY are in USA right now to perform on a BIG stage but how many of you are talking about that? Do you see that in the headlines ? The characters BAND just flew from Kotoka to support Sarkodie in his performance. This comes at his own cost and support , yet what we are discussing here not is how he should look at things because our brothers are doing super well than him. Can you say he is relaxed if this is what we can do for him in times like this instead of getting him media support and other things he needs? What is the states interest in the creative industry? Nigerians don't play with MUSIC and it's evident everywhere. Even the few that lives with us here demonstrates that to us each day and we think it's for nothing ? Check the history of America and you would appreciate that having an agenda to make our country a better one can come from the entertainment sector alone . I appreciate opinions but let's always look at the bigger picture of what's happening! You don't expect SARK or STONE to come and say these things to us before we do the needful. My brother, we are also part of the problem as a country. When did BURNA BOY come to the limelight? They (all the great arts in NIGERIA) respects our Artists a lot because they know how what they go through as independent artists! Let's support them the right Way
@@billionairebilthought1368 I love your input bro and you have a solid point. But let me explain. It's very difficult to get help when you are an underground artiste. However, Sarkodie, at his level, can easily get investors locally or international. He has proven himself and doesn't need to struggle to get investors and funds, trust me. But here is the problem. I watched an interview of him and he mentioned that, at this point in his career, he has seen all the highs and nothing surprises him anymore. Someone who says that is someone who's quite comfortable where he is and isn't mentally prepared to move to the next level. Here's the link to the interview: ruclips.net/video/blQFJKvjXiU/видео.html In another interview with Dentaa, Sarkodie said he knows what Nigerians are doing to get to that level they are right now. But he's done things on his own for a long time, he is not comfortable giving complete control to a Record Label. Here's the link to that interview as well: ruclips.net/video/pI-Z10gFDcA/видео.html I acknowledge the fact that he has done well on his own, trust me. But at some level, you geniunely need the help of international industry players. Sarkodie can easily get a label or some big men in the States to work with if he wants to, trust me. The brand is solid and recognized. And any investor knows they'll make their money back if they invest in him. What he can do now is to be more sociable. We all know Sark isn't really a sociable person. He has said that many times and we've seen. On the other hand, these Nigerians know how to easily make friends with these big industry players and artistes in the States. They easily get collabs because of their connects. But at this point, Sark is very comfortable. He has millions of investments, houses, cars, and every good thing life has to offer, so he's complacent. That is why he's stagnant
@@billionairebilthought1368 I've seen the concert he's going to play. And I know the Characters band are in the US to play for him. He's definitely on the right path, no doubt. But as Sheldon mentioned, he's the pinnacle of music in GH, and we expect more. Because if he can go to that level, it will inspire the up and coming artistes to believe they can achieve that level as well. My brother, we're doing our best in supporting them. In recent times, Ghanaians are supporting their own. We play and stream their songs everywhere. If the song dey be, we dey support bruh. If our fellow Nigerians have done it, we can also do it. He has an undisputed legacy when it comes to Ghana music. But new histories must be made. I think that's where our focus should be rather than defending Sark and Stone. At this point, it takes real drive to get there. And that includes learning new skills, linking up with new people and more. We can't do that for them. They can only do it themselves. And we are here to cheer them when they do it.
@@RaymondAinyam 👍. I appreciate your point too! That could be part of the problem but can you say same for the other artists? It is not only about Sark but the industry in it's entity. When you look at the bigger picture, you would find a lot of meaning into what I just said bro. The culture of people here as against the industry is one big problem that needs to be looked at. If we are to say, artists themselves should go out there and look for investors, how many of our Artists can be successful at that? That's my worry with regards to what you Just said. Sark is definitely doing that in a way. You see that when he travels. He may need a push to understand that as Ghanaians and people who love his music, we expect more from him which is super fine because it would end up making him more successful Rather but let's accept the blame for not doing certain things for our musicians. This goes to corporate bodies here in Ghana and the big men we have as gatekeepers. There is always an agenda somewhere instead of looking at the bigger for the artists. Look at the things they discuss on TV/Radio sometimes and you would realize that , our musicians are strong💪 if not many of them would have stopped doing music by now. The only surviving label we can talk of lynx and even that is not up to standard. Their first biggest show outside Ghana is what took place at the indigo O2 after existing for more 15 years ! Having worked with all these acts , that's their monumental concert so far and clearly tells you where the problem is. Artists sign co artists and the next thing we hear on radio is an agenda to trash the good works of what they are doing for their colleagues. Are we saying if major labels plugs were to be in Ghana, our Artists would still love to be co-signed by their colleagues knowing that it's hard for them already? Raymond, I agree with you to some point but then again, urging sarkodie to set his priorities match what the people or Industry expects from him should start with Ghanaians, the government and the industry players showing them love and support in the first place. That , we can all blame or blast them when we feel they are not trying. Thank you Raymond
Gone at the days, castro, Kwaw Kesse, and Edem were the only people that we would crave to listen to. It moved to shatta, StoneBwoy and Sarkodie. Now Blacko, Fameye and Kwesi Arthur are also moving it. We would get there.
I think the young up coming artist should learn from Sarkodie. To get to the level where he is. You can't shut down Sarkodie and expect to get there. The student is never greater than the master
Ghana ankasa ebe the fans wey dey sink the industry The comparison complex be mind borsting Sark and Burna are two different artists I can boldy say Sark wey put Burna on in this country when barely few ppl knew him back then on "special someone" even before Shatta put him on "hosanna" Sark is doing this music shit on his own and he's winning independently It's just up to us to know and accept our fate Ghana would get there someday but not now We no reach Wanna artists even dey lack the confidence to organize shows in our neighbouring countries how much more the states or the u.k I feel like we need to channel our energy to supporting the Nigerians as our sister country and maybe hope that one day we will get there
The reason Sark is seen as the standard is because no artiste is trying to push beyond where sark has reached. It'll stay that way for a long time to come.
Sarkodie didn't make himself the STANDARD OR PINNACLE, the visionless industry players did. And its about time our Artiste really start working with Labels. Enough of the one man effort. Burna boy is backed by powerful labels so he can do anything as high as he wants to. I wonder how many record labels dey in ghana mpo, let alone how many artiste works with one in or outside Ghana. Everytime these Nig A list Artiste do the extraordinary that's the only time we remember our problems.. Wei after one week the conversation will be over until maybe wizkid or davido Wow us again, then we come back with same issues and plenty talks. It's a shame honestly.
Forget sark, y’all praise him to much but he’s still a local champion. He just archive few things international but not recognized. He’s just a model now. The Ghana music industry is bad that’s the problem. Every new Nigerian musician is big and making more money than any old or new musician in ghana.
I agree with you bro. The Shatta Wales, Stoneboys and Sarks have done their best. It is really clear they have gotten to their peak after all the great work they have done. The focus of Ghanaians should turn to the upcoming musicians. They hold they key to the breakthrough of the ghanaian music industry. Their new styles of songs is the proof to that. I believe Blacko is on his way to setting a new standard and it is just a matter of time, others will join him there
P square, Dbanj, 2 Face and others paved the way for burna, Wiz and all the young Nigerian artists doing what they are doing now. Sarkodie overachieved regarding the details ppl and is still making music. He has also paved the way for the You g ones and they are who we need to be focusing on. Ghanaians are just ungrateful and the comparison complex is too much. Let’s give Sark his flowers and leave it there. He has done his part. Now the Baton need to be passed onto the Black Sheriffs, Amerado, Kuame Eugene, Kidi, Camidoh’s and Kelvyn Bois of the world. Also let’s stop disrespecting King Promise because that guy is still dropping bangers btw. As a nation we need to have an attitude of gratitude. Sarkodie has done his. Leave him alone!!
@@Itskelvinking This is just sad. You clearly didn’t read. I used them to reference those that paved the way for Burna and Wiz but didn’t couldn’t accomplish what they had. we love n hold sark in high regard because there's no one around that we can compare to him in the industry that's why he's always taking the heat. Stonebowy has a bit potential but wale I feel is a joke in the industry, tho talented yet not serious. If it was because of sarks twi thing he's not hitting internationally then what about manifest.
Why do u drag wale into this conversation, if your artist can’t give u hit songs again is it wales fault, Wale can’t be faded like your co nimo artist. Get in mind only Wale can fill dat auditorium no Gh artist can do it. The greatest feature in Ghana music industry is Beyoncé ft Shatta wale. Don’t ever compare your faded artist to Wale. Fooling Dey be u pple
There are a lot of factors to consider when you want to compare Nigerian artists to Ghanaian artists. Nigeria's popularity and population is a huge factor if not the number one factor. Imagine ghana has the same population as Nigeria and same popularity? It's not just black and white. Nigerians alone in NYC are more than the population of Nima.
People also seem to forget sarkodie is an independent artist for someone who did it all on his own you have to give him props. You lot need to quit this. He paved the way for ya'll to follow.
@@augustineafful3375 The simple answer is “choice”. He wanted and still wants to be independent. Has a lot to do with owning your masters and moving at your own pace. He doesn’t want to go commercial. He gets to speak his mind and do his sh** freely.

Pls i beg, ghanaian artists don't have record label. All this Nigerian big artists have good record labels, Ghanaian artists do it on their own. Pls let give them the push they need.
Stop spitting rubbish if you dont have anything reasonable to say. Cowarding under Nija artists being signed to record labels. Let me bring you up to speed. Davido and Big wiz are not signed to any record label. They are independent. Feel free to come up with another excuse.
Let alone a foreign language, let's be honest the way African Americans listen to Pac or Jay-Z, lil Wayne average African,European,Asian can not feel the songs the same way even if you speak English.
To be honest my first time of listening to Sarkodie I knew he was going to be the greatest and he is but I also feel he has limited himself. Someone made a comment on genre which is so true but I feel like Sark still has a lot in him which we have not seen.
Its like Ghanaians dont have a goal or dream of their own. Just hang around to see what Nigerians do then start harrasing and pressurizing their people to copy! Let Sark be! Let people do them!!
Why are ghanaians not focusing on themselves and always so concerned about what nigerians artistes are doing? A few years back, Ghana was leading this music thing, and the table has turned to the nigerians favour now. So why ain't the ghanaians simply supporting and pushing their own, with the focus of attaining back that spot, and they are always raising unnecessary comparisons between gh artistes and ng artistes??
Leave them always starting comparisms that will lead to hate. The minute Nigerians got Grammys it was like a sin! Now everyone must have Grammy else your whole music career ain't shit WHY!? SMH
You people be there and be arguing over Sark and others,Jesus is coming receive him now into your Heart, say this after me "dear lord Jesus, I believe and I declare you are the Son of God indeed and I believe that you died for my sins,I confess you Lord Jesus as my Lord and my personal saviour,I receive you into my heart today .I declare that I am born again,I have the life of God in me. Praise the Lord
I agree with you Sheldon. At this point, Sark is enjoying his millions and is much relaxed. Let's face the facts, good living brings complacency. At this time, Sark is complacent and that's fine. He knows what he has to do to get to that level Nigerians are getting to -- he needs new connects and more social skills, help from some US top players like Diddy to manage him and direct his path to a worldwide appeal. However, Sark is not ready to give total control of his brand to someone else, afterall he single-handedly built it by himself. And he's also not ready to put in that work. So let's just face the facts and hope one of our young talents is driven enough to get to the new standards Nigerians are setting!!! Until then, let's cut Sark some slack
Sark is trending because he’s been dreaming to fill Madison Square Garden; if you listen to Advice, the diss song to Shatta, Sark said “Up to now we no fit sell out the Madison Square but we fighting on Range Rover. So if Burna filled it before Sark then there’s the need for Ghanaians to raise their eyeshadows. Congrat to the African Giant.
You know as Ghanaian we must be honest , our musicians use plenty of our tribal languages in our songs , but Nigerians use broken English more in there songs then there language. But pains me is see azonto went international before burna boy . But look today . Ghanaians we need to be more bold . And less of dialectic in our music more English .
I’m tired of the narrative that Ghanaian music can only sell if we start singing in English only. It’s not about the language is about the promotion! There are so many Nigerian songs that have trended that weren’t in English. Our problem is bad promotion not language.
Thats why its wrong to compete locally, up-coming artists should rather look outside the box and compete internationally, yes, they may start locally like Wizkid & others but your local environment shouldn't be the limit..
The guy is a rapper who raps in his language. I don’t care what you say… it’s difficult for him to sell those arenas with his music. Wizkid, Davido and Burna are singers who can breakthrough with their kind of music. Leave Sark alone, what he has done is unheard of
As a Nigerian 🇳🇬I find it so unfair that Sarkodie has to be dragged needlessly! I can’t understand why Sark is anybody’s yardstick!! As brilliant and as marvellous as Burna Boy is, he is not the yardstick for Nigerian musicians! Neither is Davido, nor Wizkid nor Tekno, Olamide, Flavour, Tiwa Savage, Teni, Adekunle Gold, Kizz Daniel, Fireboy, Joeboy, Omah Lay and a host of others! If all our Naija artistes , despite their huge popularity and great successes are not singled out to be the yardstick, why are Ghanaians putting such pressure on Sarkodie???? It’s very hard to understand! Give Sark a Break!!
No is not about him.. see all this pple commenting about him when sark go come for concert this same pple will say is expensive... ghana pple not dey pay for Concerts at all but my nigerian pple go spend every last penny just to witness the greatness.. that is it..

I see a man that is trying to just step aside, grow his family and other businesses then come back into the game but then the pressure from fans just make him keep cooking up stuffs, though half-heartedly. It is an evolution and it is very normal.
We are asking the wrong questions. The question is, what are the Nigerians artists doing right that the Ghanaians artists are not doing? And will blame the artist management in Ghana. Nigerian management invest heavily in promotion of the artists outside their country and that is the difference. The management of our top artists are failing them and preventing them from reaching their highest potential. Look at how far the Nigerian management promoted Black Sheriff although I think they should have done the right way. Ghana have the talents but without the right management and promotions, our artists can only be local champions

Ghanaians we like talking too much. The team behind burna is massive. The is signed by a record label with connections. On top of that he sings. Most people relate to afrobeat songs irrespective of whether they understand the language or not. When it comes to rapping, it's not about the beats but rather the understanding of the lyrics. So how can people relate to srakodie songs if they cannot understand. Name one rapper in africa that has been able to fill a stadium outside their country. It's never done and has not been done. This comparison should be about the shattas and the stonebwoy. In my honest opinion kidi and the likes of Kwame eugene will be able to do those if they play their card right and get a major label with connections behind them. We should learn to understand the industry and the system in place rather than always ranting as ignorant people. Sark believes rhythmic flow of a music with style is the key to penetrate the global market. he's done well so far. Obrafour once said, music is dynamic. One is bound to lag behind without adaptation. in my opinion, Language has been our biggest barrier to global penetration. Sark has done by far what anybody could not do with twi and no one can take that from him but imagine if most of his songs were English. Rocky Dawuni's songs has been featured in 1 movie, 8 TV series and 5 in video games. All that I'm trying to say is that there's more room for improvement and language has been the obstacle. breaking that will make the Ghanaian artist do exceptionally great internationally and trust me all these milestone can be achieved by Ghanaian artist also.
I am very glad Ghana music industry is lacking and suffering..Those gate keepers made our industry look like if you ain’t humble they are not going to help you. They played politics with our music industry to the extent that if you don’t go by their rules the will black list you like what they did to many artist. Lol.

My opinion on this issue:
1. Do I think Sark has done a lot? YES.
2. Do I think he could have done more? YES
3. Does it take anything away from him? NO
The thing is Sark was there, he could've done all what these guys are doing out there.
Sark is doing hiplife/hippop and Afrosong hiplife was generated from highlife
The father of hiplife was Reggie rockstone
Sarkodie is doing drake style of rap
Sarkodie style is unique from that of the American rap
Sarkodie has not set any low standard

With all your plenty sentences I thought you’d had made sense small. Ose rap is from America. Smh
Rap is Africa and it’s african. Black America took rap from Africa and decorated it with hip hop. No time to write stuff you don’t even get it. Do your research.

That concert was a whole experience mehn. I still can't wrap my head around such a production!!!
Here's the link to the interview: ruclips.net/video/blQFJKvjXiU/видео.html
In another interview with Dentaa, Sarkodie said he knows what Nigerians are doing to get to that level they are right now. But he's done things on his own for a long time, he is not comfortable giving complete control to a Record Label. Here's the link to that interview as well: ruclips.net/video/pI-Z10gFDcA/видео.html
I acknowledge the fact that he has done well on his own, trust me.

The focus of Ghanaians should turn to the upcoming musicians. They hold they key to the breakthrough of the ghanaian music industry. Their new styles of songs is the proof to that. Why black man don't want success of fellow black man.?
If not deal yet he has been to Rocknation
That alone is enough
What have you yourself done.?
How many African listen to rap songs as compared to afrobeat songs... Sark has done it let's bow down to him...
sark is a legendary we love that guy
You just started a conversation bro. I think the relationship between Sarkodie and his fans is a healthy one.
Imagine trying to slander and complement a single individual in a single video lol.
Kwadwo Sheldon: Do you know how hard it was for Sarkodie to penetrate the international market?
Me: It wasn’t easy but it wasn’t that hard cos he’s Sarkodie.
Stop being so consumed with Sarkodie and put some respect on his name.
Which international market, music is now changing hard times Gh artist have to be versatile and it’s only Wale showing dat seriousness. Beyoncé ft Shatta wale is the all time greatest feature in Ghana music industry. Joke country

So you saying Sarkodie should doing Rap and do Afrobeat? Like seriously
@@wisdomwizzy5248
Bro please is wisdom your name? if yes then talk wisdom
@@wisdomwizzy5248 Sark is the "biggest" African rapper and you think he's not showing seriousness? if a guy who raps in Twi mostly, from a small country where rap isn't the biggest genre, and has been able to achieve this much as an independent artiste isn't serious? lol
I just cant stop loving how truthful u have been this time around, Sheldon...
No doubt u truly a Sark fan, a very big fan of course....😁
Buh sark too dey suffer o chale 😢😂💔. Ghana dirrr asem oo
Facts 💎 We need more real artists with both international and local standards 🔥
#we know Fi sell Madison square but we dey fight over range rovers.
When he said that what were they thinking
Re-evaluation of the yardstick is our only option
Go ask burna and you will be shocked the massive support behind this successful concert. Our artist are practically doing everything by themselves. They cannot do it if things do not change. Let's ne realistic
Or maybe focus on the music and enjoy it!
All these long stories and comparism is tiring!
Ghanainas need to stop mounting pressure on their artists cause Nigerians are going global.
Ghanainas have gone global in the past too, i didn't see Nigerians acting like its the end of the world!

In Africa here it's easy for a singer to blow than been a rapper but Sheldon what's your favourite artist doing English teacher Manifest or don't deserve better anaaa😂😂
So how do we expect someone who raps in Twi predominantly to sell out a world renowned stage like the Madison Square Garden. Sark is Sark and some of us love him and will always love him. No need to dragg him like you guys are doing. He's the best. Periodt
Bossu black sherif will get there but he saf he need to be serious one song every month or three months
He need to start working hard n stop keeping the fans hungry for the long tym
That's his plan
Why so much pressure on these artists. You Ghanaians are sick, I swear

Dear Kwadwo .. i agree with you ... but i strongly believe that sarkodie got complecent with his achievements that he shifted his forcusing on moving to greater heights and started to help others come up. Sarkodie made the sacrifice for the younger generations to move to greater heights...... Right dee the person we for move to be the person who start beef plus Burna Boy... where he dey do ... for US LOL
Kwadwo Sheldon figa say he dey speak English aaaaama
Africa best rapper KING SARK you do all
Kuddos to you. I always like your truthfulness
No pressure.. the people doing the comparisons, how many Sarkodie shows have they attend? They don’t even buy ticket to go shows.
We for start dey watch Kwesi Arthur
I am very glad Ghana music industry is lacking and suffering..Those gate keepers made our industry look like if you ain’t humble they are not going to help you. They played politics with our music industry to the extent that if you don’t go by their rules the will black list you like what they did to many artist. The kind of energy and support they have given to sarkodie and stoneboy was mind bursting yet they keep failing you guys. Up till now those artist they supported wholeheartedly couldn’t sell 4,000 capacity outside Ghana for people to even attend. The God of shatta wale is really punishing this industry and for me i am fucking happy.
