You and Courtney from Bolo Buddies got me to see lower value items in a different light. I pick up a lot of random free stuff for free, most of it worth $15 or less. I started to list some. Sold a Harry Potter plastic tumbler yesterday for $10.99 plus shipping. I made a bit of money on the shipping and cleared a little over $9. That's not a bad ROI for a free item. Easy to pack too. I used recycled packaging. Thank you, Amazon. 😊

7:44 My wonderful postoffice guy moved routes. He scanned all of our items and we took good care of him ($) at holidays and gave him stuff for his kids. So… our new guy won’t do it! I just take them myself to the PO!

I'm in Canada too, shipping is unreal. A deck of vintage Barbie playing cards for instance was around $20 to ship! The buyer changed their mind, can't blame them.
My guess is the different postal system is the difference in crisis. Having such high shipping would make it more difficult for people to buy.
I put a bag of Thomas wooden train tracks with accessories together at the bins and they weighed it separately, they only charged me $10, it should have been $30, it never hurts to ask.
So true! I've done this with a few things over the years. I need to keep this in mind the next time I find heavy items.
Sorry, but just asking because this confuses me, but wouldn’t it weigh the same whether you weighed it together or not? Then be the same price.

@@corbingoggins1668 I believe @fd964 is saying they kept those items separate in a bag/box and when they went to weigh and checkout, INSTEAD of weighing it and being charged what the usual $/lb is at their bins, they asked if instead the bins person could not weigh it and instead charge a flat price since the weight of the wooden tracks would make it so costly. Most ppl don't want to pick them up because of that. Heidi in Vancouver BC Canada
At the bins they weigh all the items together that you are purchasing(except at my bins books & electronics are a separate price.) I believe what she is saying, is she pulled the Thomas items separately & asked them to weigh just those items. The weight per pound made the items $30. The Goodwill employee gave it to her for $10 instead. Lightweight items are always the best deal at the bins.
I can't find much of the high dollar stuff in my area so the small sales is what I live on.

Last weekend my daughter needed me to watch the grandkids. She didn't tell me they were sick. I have been battling a fever for 3 days straight. I takes all i can manage to pull my items to get them mailed. I haven't been able to do new listings but i have been doing "delete and relist".
I love selling online but when i get sick my business suffers. Its been ruff
It is more important to take care of yourself. Last January I was very sick and did just enough to keep my account in good standing.
This is my second year of selling on ebay. This February. has been up 18% from last February. I love seeing your new toy display. Robert has been busy!

I came across some unicorns last week. They just didn’t comp out well. I listed a giraffe lovey just like that one yesterday.
See those small items add up. Walmart would be happy to make 8 bucks each item. Thats smart to carry them and customers love the prices. I sell a wide variety of items too and all price points. The smaller sales saved me in February but I did sell some 100 sales too. I had one bad week that really hurt but its going better again.
I appreciate your philosophy on one touch items. After hearing you talk about it I have decided to follow your example. I will no longer put it aside. I will either list it or get rid of it. No more putting it aside. I am currently on a no buy period until I get everything listed or I can't fight the desire to thrift.

Hi Rebel and Robert! Just subscribed to your pickers channel. :) I also am Ok with picking up things for 50 cents to get $7-10. Sometimes that's all that I can find! Of course always looking for higher prices things but those harder-to-find. Thanks for sharing your sales. I just passed on some of those Alice in Bibleland because I had limited funds and they wanted $1 each. Might go back and see if there are any left!

I've had items not track as well, despite bringing the package to the post office and having it scanned right in front of me. I tend to start off by going to the USPS site and ask them to send me email updates on the "problem" package. It at least gives me something to tell the buyer that I've done while we wait a bit. As for lower value items, I like to sell small inexpensive items. I find them easy to list and ship, low stress, and as you said, they add up if you sell enough of them. Plus I find a lot of them, and I figure I need to sell what I can find. 🙂
The bread and butter sales definitely pay our bills.

Hello, I was just going to comment on you said you were trying to list 20-25 a day. Oh my. I only hope that one day I will be as productive. But honestly, it took me three hours today, to list 4 items (a purse and three clothes articles). I am a part time and just started 10 days ago, about. Taking photos is OK, especially after my son gave me few very helpful suggestions, shipping sounds to be OK, I have not gotten into book keeping just yet, but listing thingy is killing all my time. :( Love watching your videos. For the first time, I picked up three plush pieces yesterday, only because I listen to your videos :)

Post office is really wacked out recently
My post master is awful and not supporting resellers at all. If it wasn't for my mail carrier and the counter clerks, I would have serious issues. If any of them leave/retire I don't know what I'm going to do.
I just had a item "disappear" on a Mercari label--it showed the postal worker scanned it picked up on February 10th, and now no tracking since then. I have put a tracker on it thru the post office, they just keep sending something saying it was picked up on 2/10. This was a $116 item, they will cancel it and then you can't get any info on the transaction, even if you want to dispute it with the post office, you have no information because Mercari deletes the entire transaction. No use, trying to go to Mercari, just a bunch of bots with canned responses saying too bad!!! This is a problem with Mercari labels
well, mercari must be monitoring you tube, as my package is finally being delivered today after 14 days of no tracking--what a strange coincidence--NOT Funny how my packages always track on ebay & posh and no delivery or tracking problems on either of those platforms ever--ONLY MERCARI
My label never showed picked up even though my carrier always scans them. It's like the scanner glitched. I hope you get your lost package found. Mercari does at least wait several weeks before they cancel an order.

I received a negative review because an item was lost and the buyer felt like I should have been paying attention.
I have had luck sending eBay an email and copying their feedback policy to them on mail delays/events out of our control. I had 2 feedbacks remove that way. Google: Seller performance and feedback policy.

I’ve been watching you and trying to learn. How do you get paid from E-bay. On learning from EBay, it said you have to have a checking account #. It said you can not is pay pal anymore. ??
Ebay now does managed payments and no longer uses Paypal. You do have to connect your account to a bank account. I would recommend one that is only for reselling and not linked to your personal account.

When listing Loving Family furniture do you think it is necessary to list items from the same set? I know there are different ones like Dream, Sweet Sounds, etc... or is it ok to mix items to make a set of Family Room, Kitchen, etc...?
Sorry, I had the wrong answer here. I tend to not mix the different types of dollhouse furniture. I think buyers will be looking for the furniture for a specific dollhouse.
